I'm a massive Portishead fan and, as much as I love the beats and sounds of the band, the warm organic soundscapes on this album are fantastic. Beth is equally at home in either and her voice carries every track. One of the best albums of the year without a doubt.

i cant believe my eyes im watching this woman on a new video after 15 years ...i know she dont like to exposed , and didnt want to be famous at all , dont want money ...but for christ sake she is the only mastermind behind the invention of a movement back in 1991 "sad songs" without making money only for art !

Stunning, this woman is a monument unto herself! So many elements of this album remind me of the quieter moments of Portishead, but also great artists like Shara Warden (of "My Brightest Diamond" fame). Intimate, warm, still tortured after all these years, but hopeful, nevertheless

Reminds me a bit of My Brightest Diamond blended with Beach House in that chorus. Truly a masterpiece from the incomparable Beth Gibbons, Portishead was such a massive trailblazer for electronic music in the 90's and Gibbons keeps showing that Portishead was certainly no fluke
