On the off chance Thom sees this, your lyrics and your music have assured me that I am not alone in feeling the world is at once beautiful, terrifying, and absurd. You elucidate with such simple yet poignant elegance what so many of us cannot, and lift us above the labyrinth to see what lies around us and beyond. Thank you for sharing your talents, your vulnerability, and your ability to define the ineffable mesh we all coexist within. Love, Aimee.
that’s beautifully put 🩵🩵🩵

Aimee, thank you for describing that precisely.
Thom's voice always goes great with strings.
a genius
Haunting
This Thom Yorke guy is going places.
Layered, complex, and beautiful. I can listen to the radio for hours and nothing grabs my attention. I hear a song like this and I connect with it immediately. Never stop, Thom. I've been listening since 1999.
What a great feeling when a song like this connects you
This is how life feels. It is never quiet. Silence is what we need.
Thank you, tomacito.
"Every man whose business it is to think knows that he must for part of the day create about himself a pool of silence. But in that helter-skelter which we flatter by the name of civilization, the citizen performs the perilous business of government under the worst possible conditions.
A faint recognition of this truth inspires the movement for a shorter work day, for longer vacations, for light, air, order, sunlight and dignity in factories and offices. But if the intellectual quality of our life is to be improved that is only the merest beginning.
So long as so many jobs are an endless and, for the worker, an aimless routine, a kind of automatism using one set of muscles in one monotonous pattern, his whole life will tend towards an automatism using one set of muscles in one monotonous pattern, his whole life will tend towards an automatism in which nothing is particularly to be distinguished from anything else unless it is announced with a thunderclap.
So long as he is physically imprisoned in crowds by day and even by night his attention will flicker and relax.
It will not hold fast and define clearly where he is the victim of all sorts of pother, in a home which needs to be ventilated of its welter of drudgery, shrieking children, raucous assertions, indigestible food, bad air, and suffocating ornament.
Occasionally perhaps we enter a building which is composed and spacious; we go to a theatre where modern stagecraft has cut away distraction, or go to sea, or into a quiet place, and we remember how cluttered, how capricious, how superfluous and clamorous is the ordinary urban life of our time.
We learn to understand why our addled minds seize so little with precision, why they are caught up and tossed about in a kind of tarantella by headlines and catch-words, why so often they cannot tell things apart or discern identity in apparent differences."

@@soundstation8343 Un grande el Tomacito.
Oe, Yo te vi en otro video de Radiohead!
This reminds me of that old saying: "When life rolls you lemons down museum stairs, you retreat into the bedroom resembling a backstage thrift store in a state of panic, & curl up into fetal position so you can hide inside of the same cardboard box twice."
Funny thing is: That might be exactly what the video means.
Existence is ordinary until you stumble upon the art that Thom shares with us, and it pulverizes you. I wish I could immerse myself in his music, build a little house in the music, and stay there forever.
So many artists that I loved sold out to pop and/or they got lazy - their music lost its magic. But Thom’s music just goes deeper, expands, grows more magical, and blooms with more beauty and mysticism. Like the best art and the best spirits, it gets better with age. I can return to his older music and find it all the more compelling and profound every time I listen. For the last 20+ years Thom’s voice has beckoned me in to the deep, to an enchanted universe where I have discovered the beauty of all things. Thom’s voice has always comforted me in my solitude, kindly affirming that I am not as alone as I feel, his words giving empathy, wisdom, spiritual guidance, and connection. Every new song is imbued with even more of the same, with ever evolving richness.
I feel so fortunate that I to get to experience music and art in a time that Thom is here to bless us with his other worldly gift. And the fact that God put him on earth next to Johnny, et al. is enough proof for me that the most amazing, lovely, and powerful things in this world are certainly by intelligent design.
Thank you for reassuring me that someone else knows how this life feels.
Explain? I'm dumb and don't understand the song
I assure you, you are most certainly not alone...
The fact that someone who dressed as Kurt Cobain and did the infamous MTV Beach House performance is the same person who made this, shows incredible growth as an artist.
This is like listening to anxious music with my dad yelling over top of it. Unsettling. Wow.
Thom Yorke really is the best Thom Yorke we have...
Thom is a musical genius…. With an incredible voice … and each new track is a fresh new joy!! ❤
I’m so fascinated by this score tbh. A huge shift in style from thom. I’m so used to Jonny being the big orchestral score guy. I’m excited that thom continues to experiment and expand with his own capabilities as an artist. I’m telling you, the sky is the limit with this guy
i love you so much thom, you probably get this every day but your music changed my life
King of the Castle
1:15 "Volevo la morte, volevo morire ("I wanted death, I wanted to die")
are u sure he is trying to say this too ?
Yes
I love music videos where the audio from the story happening on-screen seeps in. Reminds me of 90s music videos like Karmacoma by Massive Attack. Fantastic song as well. I will always be a fan of Thom Yorke.
Another good example is the video for Rabbit in Your Headlights. The ravings of the walker is such a big part of it.
@@daskarmanghia I love that song and the entire Psyence Fiction album so fucking much. Really got me through some rough times a long time ago.
@@daskarmanghia Oh hell yeah. That’s the same director too, Jonathan Glazer.
This is how I see my dad... We're all just calmly looking and listening at what's happening with curiosity, but he doesn't, it gets him mad.
I've heard him complain so much that I had to start ignoring what he's saying to protect myself from all that negativity, and now he's just like a muffled distant voice that get silenced because no matter how much he complains things won't change just because he complains about them, and so the cycle repeats, and I see i've lost him in this loop.
It's like running from the truth... It's brilliant!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This song is so unique and really shows how Thom can keep pushing himself and making new and innovative music. The whole soundtrack is very cool. Love this and The Smile!

30년 전 그의 노래를 처음 듣던 순간을 기억합니다. 그의 음악은 변해왔지만 여전히 강렬하고 인상적이며 미칠것 같은 음악입니다. 도입부부터요.

I love when Thom gives us new creations, 🥰💖thank you Sir 🙏. Miss his beautiful energy, so much in this musical age 😭
Thom's music and words were made for this type of film experience. Bravo!
Thoms first solo album was amazing. Still listen to it often.
This movie must be a trip.
Elio Germano + Thom Yorke = Perfection 🙌
Elio Germano top... Fa parte della "nuova" scuola di attori imprescindibili... Lui, Favino, Mastrandrea, Giallini, Servillo, Accorsi... E mi sto tenendo stretto!
Thom Yorke... Neanche mi metto a trovare altri come lui... Se penso ad un italiano che ha la stessa angoscia artistica dentro e la esprime penso a Manuel Agnelli.
Ma è mezzanotte e 15 devo pensarci meglio...
Absolutely gorgeous and heartbreakingly beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this with us today ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
A true marvel !!! Admirably composed and superbly performed, as always. This song takes our minds into a truly surreal spiral, between complete incomprehension and fulgurances, between unease and enjoyment ...
How wonderful, music and film.
just yesterday was learning about Albert Camus absurd philosophy, Myth of Sisyphus.
Thom's music is transcendental, his voice is like water washing away the illusions from the existence. it inspires me as a visual artist
What a beautiful masterpiece once again Thom. Thank you so much for this one. 🙏
Una belleza tu voz y tu música, Thom. ❤
Amazing movie (I live in Italy) enriched by Thom!
So busy! So glad!
❤❤❤Definitely looking forward to this as it's one of my absolute stand out favourites from the OST ❤️❤️❤️
❤❤❤ sounds great as always! Bravo!
A true musical genius....... Breathtaking journeys to the most beautiful symphonies..... Love it 👊😎🎤
Thank you Thom, soooo glad with this ❤
Thomas Yorke's music us always serious and unusual
PERFECTOOO
Thank you Thom for being one of a kind! 👽💎💙🌠
brilliant! thank you thom
My heart of hearts goes out. No one should feel trapped by circumstances, driven to a box. I know the feeling. My heart is bleeding for this world. 😢
I obviously dont know what inspired the visuals and symbolism in this poignant piece, but personally Im seeing such strong references to Sisyphus, the neverending cycle of climbing up and being tumbled back down, but by what boulder? fears? depression? negativity? (Im so curious about what the mural at the top of the stairs is, anyone?) - I love the lemons as they immediately take me back to Everything in its Right Place. then theres the Amore and Paura (love, fear?) on the board, how many times do we ricochet between those two worlds? and perhaps the strongest visual of all that the lyrics place in my head are Escher's amazing piece "Ascending and Descending" , it almost feels like this song encapsulates the emotion of that Escherian space.. If we ever get out, do we still just end up being the everyday? like Sisyphus?
Did some googling and it seems the fresco on the wall is "The Meeting of Leo the Great and Attila" , and what I get from that after reading the context is that violence cannot be resolved into peace, and fear cannot subside to reach love, unless someone does something about it...?
@@littlewingart I think you are right-the gentleman at the end of the pictorial narrative opted to close himself into a cardboard box than face up.
The words on the blackboard are in Italian
Under "Fear" it is listed:
Gods
State
Law
Dogmas
Order
And the guy you see in the video speaks in Italian. He says:
"That's enough!
I didn't do anything"
That problem is a curse!
I'm a very good person.
Am I the problem? Shame on you!"
@@TheUglyUnboxing very interesting thank you for sharing those details!
they are all references to the film! He stumbles across the scenery as a metaphor for his haunting memories of a lifetime.

Thank you, Thom. I needed that.
Masterpiece
Excellent.....Thom is deeply in touch with the Universe. What a gift. It would be fantastic if Thom could throw a track in the up and coming DUNE Messiah.
Grazie Thom
Grazie Thom 🔥🔥👍👍🇲🇾
Do forgive me for preaching to the choir. I honestly don't mean to. Just need to get this off my chest:
I find it hard to see Mr. Yorke as a musician, although he obviously is. To me, he's a total shaman. In fact, the most brillinat music shaman around. And his approach to channeling musical spirits never fails to fascinate. What a marvel of an instrument he is. Unspeakably grateful for him. Thom - thanks for choosing Earth.
love it.
Thom Yorke and Italy ❤
That was very kind of you to share yourself...
Very happy to see Thom Yorke creating classical music
Thank you, Thom. You give the voices in my head company.

Oh god damn now i really got to watch that film. Thanks a lot Thom
Legend as always, always you will be, always you will be our legend, i love you thom always you will be in our hearts ❤️❤️.
This guy is complaining about the lack of housekeeping and he is definitely right.
I can't watch without crying. And when I say crying, I mean full weeps. One love Thom 💚
Good art is cleansing
Such a Yorkian narrative! Menaced by the intrusive view of the camera, terrified, he hides in the box. The next time, he is furious that this is happening to him, but he still has not ability to defy his persecutor.
😢 awesome
Complimenti. Bella bella unica diversa
Thank you for your music, for making this absurd life bearable for me
Very nice 💙💙💙
Thank you, Thom
Magnificent!
Gracias por tantos momentos maravillosos que me haces sentir ❤
His voice doesn't have a power like past, but it still touches my heart.
Best music for broken people. Thanks
Conoscendo certi palazzi, dalla prima immagine ho subito pensato Italia, addirittura la mia Roma e perché no la casa, in centro storico che fu di Italo Calvino ed ora di Thom. Restaurata ma no snaturata da archistar.

Thom’s talent is on a different level.
