I still lay most of the parenting blame on Viserys despite Alicent blaming herself. In a society like that, mothers always take the blame when Viserys’s neglect was the architect of what Aegon and Aemond turned out to be. Aegon turned to revelry to fill the hole created by his absence. Alicent parented him from a place of fear, but that fear for her children’s lives wouldn’t even exist if Viserys had treated all his children equally.
I would mostly agree but the fact that in the green boys teens, Viserys was already infirm and barely capable of doing the smallest responsibilities he had.
For Aegon i agree but for Aemond, we clearly see that he has mommy issues. The brothel girl is an older women that he craves motherly love from and i mean even Vaghar is an older female dragon. I dont think its random.

Somehow you guys never mention viserys as also being responsible for how aegon and aemond turned out. all you do is blame alicent for how the kids turn out. and we know it’s not all on the mother how kids turn out that’s a very sexist view.
i love how they made seasmoke choose addam that way probably because seasmoke missed his original rider sir leanor, but this also means that leanor is dead💀
I would like the scene if they left out Team Black coming up with the idea. I think them talking about it and then it happens accidentally 1 day later for the first time in history is just bad writing.
@@sandmand4036I disagree. Seasmoke immediately sought out a rider after the failed attempt because he's been restless the whole season, plus he's being eyeing Adam back in the first (or second?) episode, the build up was there
GOT has never ended a season on a battle-cliffhanger, so I doubt that will happen now. I think the next episode is gonna be an insane Harrenhal-battle, and the finale is gonna be set-up for the next stage in the war, with Aemond doing something crazy and Rhaena snagging that wild dragon. I think the burned sheep indicate that it's Sheepstealer lol (although all dragons seem to like sheep).
Didn't Viserys say that Rhaenyra was his only child? also he didn't give a fuck when Aemond lost an eye. So, we should blame on him as well for not caring about his children since the show doesn't seem to deepen on that, maybe because they don't want to affect people's perception about Viserys' character.
Rhaenyra : *proposes stupid idea* Councilors : *tells her it is a stupid idea* Rhaenyra : *slaps him after it is proven to be a stupid idea* Everyone : YAAASS QUEEN
The Blacks need dragons - without Dragons they’re fucked. Did anyone else have an idea to fix that situation? Rhaenyra shouldn’t have slapped him true, but Celtigar was displaying a level of disrespect that didn’t respect her station. Of course, however, it’s not as if previous mistakes haven’t led to this situation - the caution and inaction of the last few episodes and damaged Rhaenyra’s standing with her council.
@@everhall306 I must admit that desperate times might require desperate measures, but I still think it is a bad idea to give the sole symbol of the dynasty's power to outsiders ( you could argue a kingsguard is not an outsiders, but you can't say the same for the rest) What is really frustrating is how the show is constantly trying to portray her council as the bad guys when they were making the most sense the entire time. Just like you said, her inaction caused this! At least she did something now, she had been extremely boring for a while
Having your mother present but not getting the love/care you deserve despite her being *able* to do it, hurts and impacts you alot worse than having a mother and not getting the love/care you need from her, but having her be unable to because of distance, effects you differently.
To be fair it wasn’t Rhaenyra’s idea to send food, it was Mysaria’s and to be quite frank it was a pretty stupid one. They really just gambled boat loads of food hoping the current wouldn’t wash it away.
Not all the blame on Alicent. Viserys was not a father to them. He was focused on the past, Rhaenyra & was sick. Alicent was their main parent. And she is closet to her children's age than their father's, she was focusing on ruling & not having her parents the way that she should've unfortunately.
Seasmoke chose Addam because he looked and smelled similar to Leanor😂😂😂thats why he "chose" him. It wasnt really choosing though, seasmoke just mistook him for Leanor
I find it funny that a lot of people including you two dislike the Harrenhall scenes when IMO these scenes have been some of the best scenes of this season. It seems the both of you an a lot viewers don't understand what character development is. All of the harrenhall scenes we got before have lead up to the scenes we get in this episode with Daemon breaking down with his BROTHER !! Seriously one of the biggest crime of GOT was the fact they(the showrunners) cut out the magic of the old gods, and now we're FINNALY seeing it on this show. 🤔
We stated in the video that we just thought it was being overdone. We loved the scenes in this episode. But we thought too much time was spent on it in a very short season. And the scene with his mum in the last episode was diabolical
Alicent does feel like she was at fault for how her sons turned out, her conversation w Gwayne saying "is it the court or it is their mother". And yes tbf she is part at fault but the thing is Aemond and Aegon are already resentful kids because Viserys don't even give them attention. Like it was only Alicent who was fighting for Aemond because Viserys wouldn't even scold Luke and Jace but was so quick to get angry at Aegon. Alicent cares for her son but she had them only as her duty to the realm so there is a disconnect. She does her best to protect them but she can't offer them the comfort of a mother
Left out the words of Jason, left out most of Aemonds talks and left out the nicest scene of season two gwayne was so sweet about Daeron why not show it?
The show running on a transparent image is difficult to tell what's happening in lots of scenes. I've never seen anyone else use this technique before.
Another good episode to develop more of team green and the corlys bastards sons. What in the hell was that rhaenyra and white worm scene? Looks like daemon will FINALLY get an army soon and hopefully the blacks will strike soon. The Greens are so intriguing with their complex relationships. Alicent and Criston have a silent goodbye of things not said. We get more info about Daeron and how his personality is. We get larys and his bond with aegon while failing to manipulate Aemond. Aemond who is cold and calculating and trying to take the fight to the blacks to face daemon and the river lords. Another moment that I like is the goodbye to criston it says a lot without saying nothing. The way they both look at each or glance at each when the others back is turned says a lot about their relationship. Definitely a well built up episode.
But it removes a fan favourite character and one of my personal favourite characters and plot especially her relationship with daemon which I personally believe is a loss for the series unless she shows up in season 3 and claims one of the other 2 most known wild dragons with how far diverging from the book it appears to be going. Would be wild if she is in the show with her dragon being the one that really really loves other dragons lol. If indeed what you say which I'm starting to agree with is done in a good way I won't hate it but I still want to see nettles with her being such a good character

Oh my God you do not understand what filling out characters filling out story lines might mean for the upcoming episodes you expect it to be fucking fireworks from the first minute on that is not how this works. You have to fill out characters you have to fill out story lines or those big scenes don’t mean as much. The fact that you’re bitching like this, then go back and read the books and leave the rest of it alone those of us, that, like to see a book, turned into big screen. I understand that it takes a while to build up the characters to build up the scenes to build up the world before it explodes of the ant, if you don’t understand that you should stick with the books and stay away from the big screen for HBO Cinemax because you’re not getting the whole point of building, these people out building these cities out building the story up that is all part of that before you get into the big exploding ends of things How do you not understand that I don’t get that. I’ve read the books. I’m willing to wait for the storyline to be built up and the characters to be built out and everything to happen. If you’re not you don’t have any stamina or you don’t have any patience at all.

For Aegon i agree but for Aemond, we clearly see that he has mommy issues. The brothel girl is an older women that he craves motherly love from and i mean even Vaghar is an older female dragon. I dont think its random.
@@SlavYuriy when the boys were teens viserys was definitely well enough to walk around, talk etc. he had more than enough time to be a parent and make them feel loved, but he didn’t.
"Aegon turned to revelry." No. Aegon turned to sexually assaulting the young maids in the Keep.
Episode should've been called Seasmoke the Troll and Rhaneyra the Queera. Which I am in support of, she's been giving me queer vibes all along I just didn't think it'd actually go there!
Her and Alicent definitely had a thing for each other back when they were teens, that had to be the subtext of season one
@@simonriley4131 It was more giving intimate female friendship to me but I can definitely see the queer subtext perspective as well
Viserys was seen on camera giving aegon wine as a 2 year old and now aegon has a severe alcohol problem. Somehow you guys never mention viserys as also being responsible for how aegon and aemond turned out. all you do is blame alicent for how the kids turn out. and we know it’s not all on the mother how kids turn out that’s a very sexist view.
Top phrase said by ange this season: “what does that mean thooooo” 😂😂
this episode almost gave me a heart attack because one of my buddy told me this season only have 6 episode😭
It's not 8?
It is 8. Google is your friend.
Don’t worry it’s 8, so we still have two more
@@davisiotta489 it's 8. That's why it's "almost" gave me a heart attack 😂
@@Xionize yeah i googled it instantly after watching the episode, glad i did that
i love how they made seasmoke choose addam that way probably because seasmoke missed his original rider sir leanor, but this also means that leanor is dead💀
I think that’s why Seasmoke has been restless - Laenor died
I would like the scene if they left out Team Black coming up with the idea. I think them talking about it and then it happens accidentally 1 day later for the first time in history is just bad writing.
@@sandmand4036I disagree. Seasmoke immediately sought out a rider after the failed attempt because he's been restless the whole season, plus he's being eyeing Adam back in the first (or second?) episode, the build up was there
@@simonriley4131 I'm okay with Seasmoke seeking out Addam I think youre just misunderstanding my point.
Rhaenyra : *proposes stupid idea*
Councilors : *tells her it is a stupid idea*
Rhaenyra : *slaps him after it is proven to be a stupid idea*
Everyone : YAAASS QUEEN
slaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy uwu
@@Dexiray Carlie and Ange might be the only reactors who didn't cheer Rhaenyra for that 😂
Lmao 🤣
The Blacks need dragons - without Dragons they’re fucked. Did anyone else have an idea to fix that situation?
Rhaenyra shouldn’t have slapped him true, but Celtigar was displaying a level of disrespect that didn’t respect her station. Of course, however, it’s not as if previous mistakes haven’t led to this situation - the caution and inaction of the last few episodes and damaged Rhaenyra’s standing with her council.
@@everhall306 I must admit that desperate times might require desperate measures, but I still think it is a bad idea to give the sole symbol of the dynasty's power to outsiders ( you could argue a kingsguard is not an outsiders, but you can't say the same for the rest)
What is really frustrating is how the show is constantly trying to portray her council as the bad guys when they were making the most sense the entire time. Just like you said, her inaction caused this!
At least she did something now, she had been extremely boring for a while
"If he starts to make out with Viserys" 😂 I mean, I wouldn't be opposed to that, honestly 😏
Having your mother present but not getting the love/care you deserve despite her being *able* to do it, hurts and impacts you alot worse than having a mother and not getting the love/care you need from her, but having her be unable to because of distance, effects you differently.
Mysaria is filling more than one Daemon void lul
To be fair it wasn’t Rhaenyra’s idea to send food, it was Mysaria’s and to be quite frank it was a pretty stupid one. They really just gambled boat loads of food hoping the current wouldn’t wash it away.
Not all the blame on Alicent. Viserys was not a father to them. He was focused on the past, Rhaenyra & was sick. Alicent was their main parent. And she is closet to her children's age than their father's, she was focusing on ruling & not having her parents the way that she should've unfortunately.
About the cut in Alicent`s arm: George`s work just rimes, always rimes.
Mysaria is filling a void left by Daemon and Rhaenys for Rhaenyra.
Seasmoke chose Addam because he looked and smelled similar to Leanor😂😂😂thats why he "chose" him. It wasnt really choosing though, seasmoke just mistook him for Leanor
You guys skipped the most important fucking scene. Aegon and Larys
She does her best to protect them but she can't offer them the comfort of a mother
the same parallel btwn rhaenyra & dameon can be seen with addam & allyn too.
I have to agree with Carlie about the timing of that kiss. It wasn't exactly romantic conversation.
Left out the words of Jason, left out most of Aemonds talks and left out the nicest scene of season two gwayne was so sweet about Daeron why not show it?
21:12 Kind of true tho, Daemon probably would
21:09 I said the same thing hahaha
Daemon & Caraxes gonna be in Harrenhal till 2130.
very nice guitar palying, continue pls
I always thought Daemon would cheat on Rhaenyra first
The show running on a transparent image is difficult to tell what's happening in lots of scenes. I've never seen anyone else use this technique before.
In all the reactions people only worry about Helaena. Nobody gives AF about Alicent.
With alicent, she was a child raising a child she never wanted this either
9:33 seasmoke wanted a little bbq
Do you really think season 3 will come out next year?

Day 2 of comnenting to watch Classroom of the Elite
I agree the Rhaenyra + Mysaria was kinda weird. Felt more like a woman having woman's back. But not romantically/
20:52
20:36 she doesnt care
And from my experience, neighter do marrried women in real life
Bruh did you guys forget about oshi no ko s2???
Carlie and Angel please take a look on 86(Eighty six) ANIME
Hi, I just started watching your HOTD reaction but I can barely see what you're reacting to. The footage is very faint.
The only person that these scenes should be or who would think are unnecessary are so uptight that they are not reading the room at all
Aegon caring for the small folks? Best or worst joke I heard so far this season.
You clearly see him in an early episode try to fulfil some of their wishes before Otto stepped in and shut him down.
@@iamayanakuzunoha430 He isn't called the MAGNANIMOUS for no reason ❤️😂

Im pretty sure Alicent said that it might be because of the mother and not the place why her children in kings landing were not kind.
can anyone explain how seasmoke was in chains then not in chains roaming about?
keep an eye on rhaena...this is going to be fun 🐑
But it removes a fan favourite character and one of my personal favourite characters and plot especially her relationship with daemon which I personally believe is a loss for the series unless she shows up in season 3 and claims one of the other 2 most known wild dragons with how far diverging from the book it appears to be going. Would be wild if she is in the show with her dragon being the one that really really loves other dragons lol.
If indeed what you say which I'm starting to agree with is done in a good way I won't hate it but I still want to see nettles with her being such a good character
@@christopherpage2622 i can agree with you to a point it's sad that they are removing nettels but i always wanted to see more of rhaena so i'm happy with that change only if it’s done in a good say as You said:)))
Aegon hung 100 rat catchers in public, not sure he’s really a man of the people
My favorite two scumbag Team Green reactors 😉
Who all thinks the kissing scene was very unnecessary ?!!!
It was weird and completly came out of nowhere
Nah it's fine, Unhealthy power dynamics are only okay if it is a woman ! Also I guess Rhaenyra hearing of Mysaria's inc*st domestic r*pe story kinda turned her Targaryen ass on 😂
Not really, it makes a lot of sense . Rhaenyra had a thing for Alicent in season 1, and mysaria has been there for her during a stressful time while Daemon is gone. Also if you know how the story goes, adds to certain things that happen later on !
they've been shooting longing looks at each other all season, the online tantrum shows how little attention people pay.
They were teasing this for ages now, makes perfect sense since they are the only two in the show right now who ACTUALLY trust each others, I genuinely don’t understand how that seemed so sudden for you all 🫠
Two episodes left and still no progress on the story , this season is crap
EXACTLY
No wonder season 8 of GoT was rushed when people like you can’t have a single episode without a fight…
Pay attention
@@tho_ct yeah, honestly, I wonder if people even enjoyed long form storytelling of s1-3 of GoT. Like this was never a show about bangers and cliffhangers every episode.
@@tho_ctseason 8 was rushed because d&d wanted to do star wars plus they got offered to do 12 seasons and they rejected it
Season 2 has been really boring so far. Can't believe we get 8 episodes every 2 years and they still add fillers
You don’t know what the word filler means
Literally the season with the most character development so far wdym 😭😭
FACTS,I FELT BORED
@@dbmac97he does they skipped every battle possible, no burning mill, no duskindale, we had 1 sword fight lol and it’s suppose to be a civil war. We don’t even get a criston cole fight 💀
Hotd will never be on got level and it’s sad especially after this season
i dont like this reaction....so sileince..soR
