I posted on a previous video, but you have brought up dragon sizes multiple times. Here is a cheat list for you. Vhagar is obviously the biggest dragon during the time of the show. The second largest Dragon on this show is The Cannibal, then Vermithor, then Sheepstealer (the Dragon in the vale), then Silverwing, then Dreamfyre (Helaena’s), then Caraxes, then Meleys, and then Syrax followed by Grey Ghost (which they may skip as he gets no rider and gets killed by an angry sunfyre later), then Sunfyre just a tad smaller and then you have Tesserion (Alicent’s son Dearon’s Dragon in old town), and finally seasmoke. All the other dragons are smaller or babies. They fall in this order: Vermax Arrax Tyraxes Morning Stormcloud Moondancer There are a couple other small dragons but are not important. Hope that helps
Apparently this scene was hard to pull off, according to the behind the scenes video. It was more complicated to make than the one with Seasmoke in Dragonstone
Matt Smith's delivery of "You can't possibly still be angry about this..." is so hilariously understated, I love it. I'm a little surprised it's not getting more laughs than I've seen so far. It's just like, "I know you're a vision or whatever and this place is making me lose my mind... but Bro, seriously, you've gotta let this one go."
I enjoyed the detail of Seasmoke giving Addam the "Wait, what" sideways look as he flew over him. Like... "Hooooold up, turn about, this one looks familiar!"
I don't think it was the fear, I think it was because Ser Stefon was too smug at the end. Didn't showed enough respect to the dragon... That and the fact he only had like a smudge of Valyrian blood in him
Larys is the worst, but to his credit that was a real honest conversation he had with Aegon. I don't support Team Green but Aegon would be smart to learn from Larys.
He's basically a Tywin in Tyrions circumstances imo. Ruthlessly pragmatic, but he does legitimately have a point about how to make it through that society with how they now are.
No, Rains of Castamere hasn't happened yet because it was Tywin that did it. But the motif is so attached to the Lannisters that I don't mind them using it. As long as it's not a song in-world, it works.
This, the motif was used as the Lannister theme long before we, the watchers, were told of the Rains of Castamere in the show. It could have even been the case that, in world, the Rains of Castamere lyrics were written to fit with their house motif (this is my head canon)
@@RamseyGarnaoui Definitely what I imagine; especially as it's only aspects of the song we hear, it isn't a 1-1 excerpt from the Rains of Castamere. Tywin would absolutely have it based on an older Lannister song in order to 'rewrite' it, in the same way he was determined to 'rewrite' the reputation of weakness that the Lannisters that they gained under his ancestors.

That’s an awful thing to lie and boast about considering I’m sure he knew.

Haven't read the House of the Dragon book that might explain the use of the song as dragon calling. But we heard the same song sung to the dragons in s1 by Daemon, and earlier in this season as a lullaby for Targaryen children. I think it was mentioned that some children in the royal house have their infancy alongside an egg that hatches and the dragon bonds with the kid. Seems reasonable to assume that singing the lullaby is a way to evoke an emotional response and feeling of familiarity/nostalgia for the dragon when they're trying to entice a bonding.
The wild dragon in the vale is called Sheepstealer..Its supposedly HUGE.. Not quite as big as Vagar, but much nastier.. Almost as bad as The Cannibal(called that because it eats other dragons).
I think the Daemon/Harrenhall subplot is an intentional decision by the writers to keep Daemon involved in this season. At this point in Fire and Blood it basically say Daemon F's off to Harrenhall while everyone else acts. So it was either write some character development plot to keep Daemon in season 2 or pull a season 5 Bran and basically leave out Daemon til next season.

While the 'Daemon has hallucinations' plotline is a little too slow in my book, I don't agree with people saying 'It's been the same for 3 or 4 episodes'. No. There is a clear evolution that will, I think, pay off at some point, and this last episode kinda proved it: First he saw his niece/wife sewing the head back on that other kid. Showing guilt he feels for his orders leading to that and what his queen thinks of him because of that. Next time he saw here in a dream he cut her head off, because he still thinks he's deserving of the crown and can't accept his brother's decision. And in this episode, he's finally telling his brother that he's now here for him, kind of accepting he was not a good brother (hopefully coming to terms with the fact that he should be helping Rhaenyra as the king decided to name her the heir). If this does not lead to that a bit of the same way he came back with the crown of the 'king of the narrow sea', THEN I don't see why we had those hallucinations for so long in so many episodes. The rest of this is brilliant. The plan to feed the smallfolk is so well done. I really love this show, even more now that I used to love GoT.

The stick is the same idea as a chain for an elephant. When they are young they learn that they cannot move when the stick presses on them, just as a young elephant cannot move from a chain. Once they are older they still believe that it will stop them. It is mental.
4:03 I can confirm that it does, indeed, absolutely fucking suck trying to hold a flag while riding *without* a holder. Signed, a drill team rider who got tons of blisters while waiting for my holder to arrive lmao
It's interesting the parallels between Allicent and Cersei; both daughters of the Hand, married to the King in order to produce heirs that would inherit the throne, with sons that wound up totally messed-up in the head. History, as they say, rhymes.
I think Otto is one step ahead of everybody, and already meeting with the Triarchy to try and orchestrate the Blockade being taken down, or something along the lines of helping from the shadows. He has proven time and time again that he is smarter than the rest of the council, he was hand ro 3 kings for a reason.
@@ccispahan7514 Someone mentioned that she's talking about the three dragon in dragon stone being unclaimed. Seasmoke, vermithor, and silverwing. "One stopped singing" meaning, one was about to be claimed.
@@earth2saka Now we know Otto has been captured and is kept in a cage (quite like a cricket) and has indeed stopped singing (sending messages). Sometimes, far-reaching connections are just… possibly relevant 😁
At first, I thought the Daemon thing was just a time killer to add depth to his character but now I think they are actually giving him a clear arc where he grows up as a character. I will retroactively be annoyed if it ends up being useless but I feel better about all these dreams knowing that it's very likely he's going to be a better person in Season 3.
That dragon at the vale is not random. He's the wild dragon called Sheepstealer and i'm so damn excited to see what e looks like in this show as i just recently learned about this dragon.
There were multiple wild dragons in the book and the one here shown is likely to be one claimed by a character who isn't in the show. It looks like they meshed two characters' stories and their dragons too.
Oh, poor sweet summer child Aaron... Aemond is literally the only thing stopping the Greens from loosing the war. Its doubtful that Aegon telling the truth of what happened would result in anything. Well, other than his own death, that is.
I'm definitely team black but I'm conflicted. I cannot stand Aegon or Larys but I kinda like them teaming up together. Aemond's ego needs to be checked but he was smart to recall Otto. I love seeing Alicent's fall from power but I felt bad for her and Helaena this episode. The best is Seasmoke choosing Addam. I just hope he's team black. I also think Seasmoke looks a lot like Drogon too. Great episode leading up to the penultimate episode!
This! Morally I'm team black because the truth is they're right, Rhaenyra is the rightful queen and I can't argue against that. But team green is so intriguing because I know they all suck, but they also all have had moments where I can understand or feel pity for them. I think Alicent is annoying and hypocritical, but I feel like I an also understand how she got to this point and why she seems so sad and upset. And I hate Aegon I think he's nasty, but he's so interesting and him teaming up with Larys is so interesting and I feel like they actually could do a lot for each other.
Only people that choose one team to like face this conflict. It's well within your rights to enjoy the story without acting like you're a character in the world forced to pick a side. Except you find the team arguments entertaining, then by all means, continue.
Fuck the Green. They had no rights. They got what is coming for them. Esp Alicent. Everything they casted Rhaenyra, they got it back in full. Deservingly so.
@@rexibhazoboa7097 Lol right I've never been "team" anything for any show/movie and even worse real life(like people pick between celebrity gossip fueds for some reason) I just enjoy the shows for what they give us, and have no loyalty to fake sides.
The Cannibal... The 3 wild one's are SheepStealer who is claimed by Nettles, Grey Ghost who is shy and doesn't care for people actually is a pescatarian(that's the diet of only fish right?😂) and doesn't get claimed. Nor does Cannibal who gets his name from eating other dragons, dragon corpses, dragon eggs. He actually has imo 1 of the most interesting ambiguous backstories, they said here he couldn't be older/bigger than Vhagar as she was 1 of the 3 from Aegons Conquest. The theory of Cannibal is that he is possibly older than her maybe even belonging to another Valyrian family which is why he's notoriously antagonistic to all other dragons who we know are Targaryen dragons all their eggs came from each other hence related. Cannibal is though to have been in Westeros even before AC, the smallfolk of Dragonstone said he was there before the Targaryens not Aegon but his ancestors settled it. It would make him the oldest not necessarily biggest dragon
@@alexanderthegreat5649 I doubt Rhaena is going to claim Cannibal. It's more than likely that they are going to merge Nettles and Rhaena into one character. Which is weird because Rhaena does eventually get her own dragon. And dragon riders never claim a second dragon. Maybe a different kid gets Mourning?
The blood of old Valyria is what gives the traits of white hair, pale skin and purple eyes in the books, Targaryens have the blood of old Valyria and Velaryons are referred to as most mythical so Targaryens inbred to keep the traits in there line. Living in or being from Valyria doesn’t mean you have the blood of old Valyria so no not every family in Valyria befor the doom could claim a dragon but the blood of old Valyria is what gives the Targaryens the power to claim dragons not the other way around. Velaryons were also included in Targaryen breeding and it’s also said in the book that the only house they consistently had relations with were house Velaryon because the traits came from them. It’s also confirmed by the show creator and is why they specifically chose house velaryon to diversify, changing the thing that maid them so unique from purple eyes and white hair to dark skin and pale hair.
@@yungwaifu You don’t need Targaryen blood to claim a dragon you need the blood of old Valyria, Targaryens chose to claim dragons in Valyria that doesn’t mean that Valaryons couldn’t they chose not to, Steve Toussaint Corlys and Abubakar Salim have both spoken about the lineage of house valaryon and what they have maid canon between the books and the show and Ryan J. Condal the show creator confirmed it in an interview for HuffPost.
@@NapolianDynamite-lr4hg Why would you just choose to not utilize your ability to tame dragons if you knew you were able to? Why would the velayrons opt to be masters of the sea when dragons are much more effective at crossing bodies of water then boats? Also dragons are absolutely overpowered and we see many people lusting after the opportunity to get a dragon. Why then would Velayrons largely not partake in this opportunity?
@RainbowArt-vs7rsThis make so much sense and glad George words were used bc fandom loves claim show runners made stuff out of nowhere when they just don't like the idea
@RainbowArt-vs7rs Are you capable of reading your own comment? Nowhere in those quotes do they say that dragon riding came from Velaryons or that Velaryons can ride dragons. The Velaryons were never a dragon riding house. The first dragon riding Velaryons were Laena and Laenor, because their mom was a Targ. And Corlys may have some Targ blood due to intermarriages, but no previous Velaryons had dragons.
The skull in the Red Keep is Balerion's, in the first season we saw it when Viserys asks Rhaenyra "what are we as targaryens?" it was kind of an altar with the skull hovering above. The skull we see last episode on Dragonstone might be Meraxes', the third dragon of the conqueror ridden by Queen Rhaenys. (in the books it was said that Dorne sent the skull back to the Targaryens but it was never stated if it was in Kings Landing or Dragonstone, so i kinda like that little detail of putting it in Dragonstone)
I believe Seasmoke has been "stalking" Addam on the beach--there was a scene earlier in the season where Addam was watching Seasmoke flying above the beach. That's when I was like, hmmmm...
Targaryens don't mind meld with their dragons. There is a bond, but it's not like a psychic one to the level of mentally giving commands. And inexperienced riders can very much be subject to the will and mercy of their dragon...like we saw with Daenerys and Drogon when he takes her from Mereen to the rolling hills and like what happened to Aerea Targaryen in Fire and Blood. Balerion bonded with her and accepted her as his rider but being a child who had never ridden a dragon before she didn't have the knowledge or willpower to direct an ancient dragon like that once they were up in the air and he took her where HE wanted to go and she could do nothing about it.
I was very curious on if they would include Sheepstealer in HotD, as it's always been told that "Nettles" was having an affair with Daemon and he sent her away to spare he being executed... if the story is going the way I suspect, that makes more sense now as this being the "real" history instead of being perspectives and stories from long ago, like the book was. Open to interpretation.
how does that even make sense though. The book being opinions piece does not mean those characters didnt exist. Nettles and Rhaena were seperate characters that existed.

Long story short he's a little Laenor and I fucks with him, he's mine now and I HAVE to tell Syrax, Vermax, Silver Wing, Vermithor and Moondancer about this. Haven't been able to get Meleys and Arrax on the horn in a minute everyone knows Rooks Rest and Storms End have shitty network while Caraxes is constantly texting about how Daemon is now hanging out with witches and he's in the cold and getting rained on, he's kind of bumming the rest of us out honestly."
It's nice to recap season 1 with Daemon 😅
😂
The stick is the same idea as a chain for an elephant. When they are young they learn that they cannot move when the stick presses on them, just as a young elephant cannot move from a chain. Once they are older they still believe that it will stop them. It is mental.
the aegon and larys scene was phenomenal. knowing the book i'm excited for the aegon arc.
Otto: **gets fired**
Team green: JK come back we need you
Otto: **unread**
Aaron's face as soon as Eric brings up the farm... priceless!
4:03 I can confirm that it does, indeed, absolutely fucking suck trying to hold a flag while riding *without* a holder. Signed, a drill team rider who got tons of blisters while waiting for my holder to arrive lmao
Hey guys, I included you guys in a fan compilation video for this episode...hope you enjoy it!
Slowly we will get....The Dragonseeds...Some can already guess who they will be, but the fun journey begins !!
“I figure from the coloring I thought they’d be related” bruh my ass thought he was talking about Corylys’ basterd children hahahaha
It's interesting the parallels between Allicent and Cersei; both daughters of the Hand, married to the King in order to produce heirs that would inherit the throne, with sons that wound up totally messed-up in the head. History, as they say, rhymes.
9:56 the barn owl! 🦉
The cow call we used at my grandparent's farm was "Come Boss!"
Was there some overlapping audio near the 16 minute mark?
11:36 bro busts out perfect Mandarin like it’s nothing. Didn’t know you were fluent 😂
Seasmoke: "Darklyn, I thought you meant 'Darken Him'"
"now you and your uncle-husband are... Eskimo siblings?"
Seasmoke be like fuck new rider..... actually that's not a bad idea
Yeah, absolutely ridiculous.
I think Otto is one step ahead of everybody, and already meeting with the Triarchy to try and orchestrate the Blockade being taken down, or something along the lines of helping from the shadows. He has proven time and time again that he is smarter than the rest of the council, he was hand ro 3 kings for a reason.
‘That one has stopped singing, how odd’ says Helaena. Could that be Otto ghosting everyone and working on his comeback?
@@ccispahan7514 Someone mentioned that she's talking about the three dragon in dragon stone being unclaimed. Seasmoke, vermithor, and silverwing. "One stopped singing" meaning, one was about to be claimed.
It's 100% about the dragons and not about Otto. Some people and their wild, reaching connections are hilarious. 😂
@@earth2saka Now we know Otto has been captured and is kept in a cage (quite like a cricket) and has indeed stopped singing (sending messages). Sometimes, far-reaching connections are just… possibly relevant 😁
Bloody smart move with the food ❤
I said last week Rhaenyra should do that.
Sheepstealer was in the book, but it was Nettles(who was omitted from the show and had her plot points given to Rhaena).
Daemon's visions are not the same tho. They represent different things, it is not repetitive at all.
The fun fact of the cow call 😅😅😅
another glorious reaction, it pains me that there will be no Acolyte this week, but ill look forward to another reaction soon!~ thanks guys!
I would have pooped my pants if I saw Seasmoke that close to my face lmao
That is why I always wear brown pants.
1/2 episodes would be a fine, an entire season of a main character hallucinating is fucking shit.
Oof.
Man that look Eric and Calvin gave each other when they hugged to long xD... Gold.
Seasmoke „Once you go black you never come back!“
i like how seasmoke was like screw this i'm choosing my own rider. And the moment he was gonna burn the guy everyone's like run for it
Seasmoke just wanted to say hello and neck scratches 😂
The comfort comment is the first great explanation I've heard about the kiss.
That dragon at the vale is not random. He's the wild dragon called Sheepstealer and i'm so damn excited to see what e looks like in this show as i just recently learned about this dragon.
0:10 How could you say that Eric!? "Rumbling, rumbling. It's coming. Rumbling, rumbling... BREAK FREE!!!!"
There were multiple wild dragons in the book and the one here shown is likely to be one claimed by a character who isn't in the show. It looks like they meshed two characters' stories and their dragons too.
11:39 is the most funniest thing I've heard on this channel😂😂😂
Oh, poor sweet summer child Aaron... Aemond is literally the only thing stopping the Greens from loosing the war. Its doubtful that Aegon telling the truth of what happened would result in anything. Well, other than his own death, that is.
Seasmoke has a type, he likes Velaryon boys
Alyn is Corlys’ son, thought y’all got that when his wife hinted at it 2 episodes ago
@@rexibhazoboa7097
Lol right I've never been "team" anything for any show/movie and even worse real life(like people pick between celebrity gossip fueds for some reason) I just enjoy the shows for what they give us, and have no loyalty to fake sides.
22:39 he also looks like the 2nd perfect choice to play The Witcher
42:00 there is a wild dragon in the vale in the book lol
I wanna see a dragon sneeze.
“Eskimo siblings” 🤣🤣
Another amazing video
10:45 “that dotard is of no use to her”
me the whovian that heard tardis: WAIT WHAT…..oh
Source that Targ dragon riding came from Velayrons?
We’ve seen what happens to women in this world when a riot starts. I was terrified for Helaena!
ikr, quickly flashbacked to little dove & the hound
Seasmoke bonding with Addam implies that Laenor died offscreen in the show (as they kept him alive).
Not really. Laenor faked his death and crossed the sea, leaving Seasmoke behind.
@@Scott-ql2kx Dragons dont bond with new dragonriders unless the old ones are dead. Read the books
Love the reactions blind wave :)
Seasmoke could have gone and found the brother before burning the kings guard knight but decided to do a little bit of trolling just cause why not
The skull in the Red Keep is Balerion's, in the first season we saw it when Viserys asks Rhaenyra "what are we as targaryens?" it was kind of an altar with the skull hovering above.
It is Meraxes. You can see one of the eye sockets broken apart from the scorpion bolt
I think it’s if the Dragons senses fire and Sea smoke was instructed to serve
No one has pointed out that the lead king's guard protecting the Queens, is the Captain from the movie 300
Seasmoke: "I've just met you, and I already like you!"
Balerion bonded with her and accepted her as his rider but being a child who had never ridden a dragon before she didn't have the knowledge or willpower to direct an ancient dragon like that once they were up in the air and he took her where HE wanted to go and she could do nothing about it.
the the audio doubled in some scenes?
I was very curious on if they would include Sheepstealer in HotD, as it's always been told that "Nettles" was having an affair with Daemon and he sent her away to spare he being executed... if the story is going the way I suspect, that makes more sense now as this being the "real" history instead of being perspectives and stories from long ago, like the book was. Open to interpretation.
how does that even make sense though. The book being opinions piece does not mean those characters didnt exist. Nettles and Rhaena were seperate characters that existed.
Given the connection between dragons and their riders, wouldn't Seasmoke sense that Laenor was still alive?
AMAZING episode
Always love the video keep it up guys ❤
Unfortunately we are already past the halfway point. Only 8 episodes this time
Love when Alyce tells him he runs. " Stepstone, pentos, gallifrey😂" if she Had said that Matt would have probably pissed himself laughing
There’s an edit mistake between 16:06 and 16:23 where there’s two pieces of audio, and one of them isn’t what’s being shown in the scene.
