- Go inside the most expensive home in the Hamptons. This $150-million beachfront estate called La Dune, is a 4-acre compound hidden behind tall hedges and an electronic security gate with a pair of mansions that deliver a total of 21,000 sq ft of living space, 19 bedrooms and 16 baths. A private gravel drive leads to manicured grounds with two swimming pools and a sunken tennis court.
If the home sells for anywhere near its asking price it will break a record in the Hamptons, but it hasn't been easy to find a buyer. The 9-figure trophy home has been on and off the market since 2016. Take an exclusive tour with CNBC's Ray Parisi and La Dune's listing agent Shawn Elliott of Nest Seekers.

Tour: $150,000,000 Hamptons Beach House | CNBC Prime - Розваги
They made this house feel so small by cluttering it with so much furniture - you're not going to sell a house for $150m without staging it perfectly. Thing is going to SIT on the market for years...
The staging it's definitely not appetising
Really? I love the interior and how it was decorated
It’s already sat on the market for years because the delusional owner will not lower her price. At 10million an acre, I would estimate this place will go for around 60million
I thought the same maybe the owner has a furniture company ! 😉so many pieces OMG clutter ,I think the place is used for more than family or just a party house 😐
and for $150million, you expect crystal clear window glass, which it wasn't... I felt the windows were smeared which is pointless if you cannot catch the view perfectly.
"One of the five greatest beaches in the world" LOL just say it's a beautiful beach.
I can't help but imagine how much this house has increased in value since it was built..
over a million for each year
This exact house was sold for 83M
The 150M price tag was a fantasy
50 mill max I would pay. This house is not worth 150, he’s trying to retire 🤣
This property has been on the market for years. No takers. Interesting.
What could cause that, eh? Hahaha
No way this place sells at 150 million. Regardless of location.
I'd also be surprised especially given the direction the economy is headed. I doubt it will break 100M but that's still a little bit more than I can offer. 😁😉
For 150 you can get 7 decent town houses in Manhattan, one for each week day lmao and still have leftovers.
Gorgeous location but $150 million is hoping someone with more dollars than sense comes along. But I suppose if you’re a billionaire, it might not even matter that much.
I almost choked when he said top 5 beaches in the world Lol!
Completely ridiculous. American delusion.
i’ve been to a lot of beaches besides the turquoise water nj and eastern long island have some really nice beaches
I worked in the South Hamptons about 4 years ago renovating the basement of a mansion. Really cool experience we got the stay there while we worked on it on the weekends, since our crew lived 3.5 hours away and the owner of the company I worked for personally knew the home owner. Experiencing what it would be like living in one of these massive homes was so cool. The owner of the house rented the house $50,000 a month since it wasn’t he’s primary home.
I remembered the explosive rents at the pandemic times
$150 Million and no garage? LOL
The fact that they didn't bother to get the windows washed to film a tour of a $150 million house is _almost_ funny
yes but a person who pay 150M dollar for 1 house can afford a window cleaner, so they don’t care.
That is because the owner is bankrupt. Google her name.
In italy you could get a peninsula with vine yard, olive grove, a mansion on top of the hill, and beach club with long shore line for only 25mil usd... this is mediocre in comparison to that lol
Good to know, thanks for the info!
But you would be in Italy.
If you don't speak the language or understand the culture why would you want to be in Italy ?
The same thing you describe can be got for even less in other places.
@@cp3190 whats the problem with italy? Good food, good wine and beautiful country, i think language is least of the concern, 29% of italians can speak english
@@anjquilinderino6634
I can get good food good wine anywhere if I can afford a 25m$ house. Most countries have beautiful places. Why would I want to be in a country where only 29% of the people can speak English ?
I don't know if you realize this but most people with money choose not to live in Italy.
@@cp3190 whats the problem with language anyway? Does it come with the price of the house? Lol or are you insinuating that you are better than italians just because can speak english and they dont? Racist
This was on and off the market for years. Not going to sell unless it takes a big price cut.
Dream location. Dream house (I actually prefer the 2nd house). I loved the dark wood floors and cream walls (but I would change a few things, would update the kitchen).
Yet no one cares...
Same, the prefer the second house.
"one of the 5 best beaches in the world" u are freaking crazy...look at the color of the water and how many days outta the year can u actually swim
Thanks for sharing this video...very inspiring.. great..! greetings from traditional Indonesian gold seeker ❤️🇮🇩⚒️⛏️🌺🌼🌼👍👍
The interior needs a complete overhaul
I just don’t understand what’s so special about living in the “Hampton’s”. We visited a friend Family home there only blocks from Dune Beach House and I wasn’t really impressed…especially when that wind came in😕.
And the water is not even clear!!
dune rd?? thats not considered the hamptons, you werent on gin lane or meadowlane or halsey neck lane, i can keep going, thats the hamptons
All of the neck roads south of hill street heading down to gin and meadow are big money, halsey, captains, first, coopers, the biggest baddest heating system ive done so far was on ox pasture.
That land is not worth 100million. It’s not even really 4 acres. I estimate more like 30-40million for land value
You guessed right. Both sold for 40 mil each in an auction. The owner declared bankruptcy.
Living on sand for 150 million, continous dust and sand all the time blowing all over, I dont understand rich people
"One of the best 5 beaches in the world" LMAO!
whats so funny? the hamptons are world renowned and incredible
@@mikedelape6609 cause out of all the beaches in the world there’s only 5
That water looks like dookie! Take a trip to Florida.
@@kxferrell nobody cares about florida here in NYC
@@mikedelape6609 You must be a Poor, then. All NYC money cares about Florida, which is why they spend their winters in Palm Beach / Miami / Naples.
I been binge watching these mansions for sale and now i wont settle for anything else than 30 ft ceilings.
By the way , anyone else living in their rusted out vehicle dreaming of a Home ?
My uncle is a luxury real estate developer, He has built some beautiful spec homes in LA and Miami, this place looks like two shacks next to each other, charging 150 million for it is crazy
This house isnt worth 150 though
Pictures don’t do it justice this whole area is amazing
Never shows the kitchens but beautiful homes
The Atlantic Ocean is OK I guess but for 150M it should be looking onto the Great Barrier Reef! It's very nicely done for such a huge house where most of them just look like McMansions.
I like the second smaller house better than the main house.
The sad part of all this is there is so much white and no color at all.
I didn't like the first house, outdoor I love it, conclusion , if I have that money, i would not buy this house
Two cramped feeling cottages. While they may be stylistically similar It’s obviously two homes that are just two close to each other but can you imagine having both and going outside during winter just to go to your home theater. So where’s the Tunnel connections them? Where’s the Garage? And if you are going to have two pools one should be indoors so it can be used in winter. 60 million tops only if sold to rich twins that want to live right next to each other.
nobody would be living in this house in the winter, the hamptons are from memorial day to labor day
It's obvious that this was originally two properties and the richer guy decided to buy his neighbor out and knock the fences down. It's just so awkwardly placed.
Anyone know what they actually got for this property? 8 digits OR still on the market?
It looks like the house in the series “Queen of the South” 🤩
Visiting this place
Lady of the home : Well take a seat.....
Visiting person : umm Like which one?
Moves every inch of the home
Oh another seat wow ty
The spaces in the main house seems so small and tight 😮 I don’t get the airy beach feel.
Super unimpressive interior with small rooms and low ceilings. Worth maybe $50 million because of the land and location.
I was interested in the maintenance cost question you asked him but then you sidetracked it with the tax question.
$150 mil? These realtors have lost their minds!!! They are doing this video because they’re having difficulty selling it
I really, really love it.✌️♥️
Yeah I buy it now @jones❤

Beautiful
This makes me root for a category five.
Pretty sure this has been listed for around 3-4 years lol.
This cost less than 10 million usd to build without the land.
That’s all you get for 150 million? I feel like you could buy a small country at that price.
What does this segment add to anything?
Spectacular
I think the main house has too many windows and is very messy in terms of exterior. However, the exterior for the 2nd home is definitely far more elegant. Nonetheless both homes of course boast beautiful and incredible interiors
Wait... the front entrance to this home is a parking lot?
I'LL annouce this is a gift morning in the sunshine🎉😊
That house is not even close to realistically being worth $150M.
Maybe $50M…
5 mil at best!
Nothing extraordinary with the house or design or entertainment spaces or even much outdoor areas. A mere 4 acre lot with 2 normal looking houses along with a single garage (my guess from the aerial shots of the 2nd house), a pool & nothing much is no where close to 150 Mil !!!! For that money we can buy hundreds upon hundreds of acres of land and even build mega mansion & whatever we want
Yes
gonna sell for $50-85 million
@@pr-9hahaha in the Hamptons?!!! I agree this is overpriced but it’s not selling for anywhere close to 5mil. At least 50million
@@pr-9 this comment is hilarious lol you never been too the hamptons obviously, this is the most expensive real estate in the country
Imagine meeting the agent outside and hearing the asking price is 150 mil, and then you walk inside and literally everything you see is *beige.* 😅 This house has less personality than Vision after Thanos ripped the mindstone out of his head.
What’s the commission
Owned by Louise Blouin, sold at auction $79 million in January '24
One of the five best beaches in the world? or in America? 1:37
Never would I buy that house for more than $20 million
Nobody’s buying that for $150 mil. Not even close
crazy
you can have multiple resorts at south east asia with that price with better designs too
Looks like the house on something’s gotta give.
Her name literally sounds like money lol, like when you see your name like that you know they have money lol, I read that it failed to sell, and it was going to auction so I’m wondering what it went for
Did nobody think to blur the red rocket at the end 😂 😂
Random thoughts from Australia. No house in the world is worth 150 mill. Just speaking the truth.
I disagree. People pay that for a yacht or painting. Real estate can be priceless.
The. You haven’t seen some truly astonishing properties. Check out villa les cedres, for example
Your monarch's home is worth 100x that.
I’m a New Yorker and The South Hampton beaches are overrated.
Look 🤦🏻♂️👉🏼 0:24 at those dirty waters…go to Samaná, Dominican Republic and You’ll see a real clear blue and white beach. 😊👌🏼
Thanks for letting those of us who don't have a lot of knowledge about different areas know.👌
@@alexanderm3777 The water is not dirty. Waters this far North in the Atlantic are never the aqua blue you find in the Caribbean!
i have a house one block away from here and there is no place i would rather be in the summer then here
D.R. has the shittiest water in the Caribbean. D.R. is for Poors.
I agree that the property is beautiful and peaceful, but what about hurricanes being to close a ocean and the place looks more like a hotel.
Built a hundred years ago, isn't that enough to answer your question about hurricanes?
we rarely get hurricanes on long island
Only the Gulf gets hurricanes. You in-landers are hilarious. Enjoy life away from the coast.
Current bid is 77 Mio USD at Sotheby‘s
What is that lake in the background? Buy the land and the lake. Then we can make it crystal clear and pristine. Now you have the most valuable real estate.
Can’t understand the small windows in a position like that
It's a very old house and small windows were the norm then.
Most people don’t talk about Taxes. Thanks for asking him
its cheap in the hamptons
If this house is 150m that tells you how bad inflation is 😂😂😂😂
worth HALF 150 million AT MOST. Clip this. Guarantee it sells for half. IF it sells at all.
$79mil sale at auction for those curious
Ceilings too low
What do you mean best beaches in the world. Cant even surf there😮
150m!! With a public footpath by the side and no indoor pool🤔 at that price it needs to have more…private beach
Quite cheap, considering you'll have those.
I was gonna buy this house but didnt like the staging so i rented a 1 bedroom instead😊
We can only dream
the house is not worth the money at all, it pulls a maximum of 15 million
yea maybe in texas not the hamptons where you cant buy anything for less then 3 million
Just sold for 88m on auction
Had no idea the taxes in the Hamptons (NY) were that low. That is insane it's only $100k a year on $150M property. CA is so dumb.
Only 4 acres for 150 mil. Yo come to my country, you could by your own coastline for miles.
Wow
“Best beaches in the world” smoking crack 😂 Hawaii? Greece? Caribbean islands? Spain? Australia? Could go on for hours before mentioning Hamptons lol
Maybe a 45 - 50 million max.
Still have neighbors with larger estates that can see in your windows, Hamptons are soooo 2000's.
ok so ill sell my bridghampton house now for 22 million if its so 2000’s
So the financially troubled owner finally was able to close this unfortunate chapter (classic case of leverage gone wrong). The property was auctioned off for 'just' 80 odd million (considering the listing price of 150m). The two lots were sold separately...
I can recreate and buld this mansions with much beautiful beach here in my country for at most 5 million USD lol
I would take this over that hideous 500M LA The One mansion. But if I have that money, I would still buy a small 2-3 bedroom house with amazing water view where I can clean the house myself. I just cant stand living in a house with housekeepers, maintenance people
I've come to realize that mansions like this and the 100k sq foot The One are fun to watch videos of (drove by The One 2 months ago when on vacation), but are pretty overrated as actual HOMES. Lke you I want a cozy place that I can wake up in and enjoy the day in without being overwhelmed by the size of the place
La no snow unlike this miserable property
lets see the kitchen...and I get it, it the Hamptons and the houses are beautiful but who has this kind of money and that large a family to occupy all that space?
this house has 258 pottery barn chairs ..... at $150 million asking i want space to actually walk in ....... one day this will all crash and the rich will pay millions for my room i rent out .
150million and no elevator
Lmao y’all trolling right?
One of the best 5 beaches in the world? That wouldn't even make the top 5 here in South Australia
Realtor looks coked up. Ceilings are short in the main level. Fumble you sheisters. How was the sesh before the filming. Looks like y’all are friendly.
Went for 79 million at auction
One of the 5 best beaches in the world? 😂 this man clearly hasn’t been to nice beaches
But bro 150M???
They took it off the market. odd
big one looks cramped
What's interesting about the place, I mean it's pretty, some rooms look a little tight. but if you look at the current tax assessments, it's based on a $20M value.. if it sells for $150M wouldn't the taxes increase substantially? not sure where this guy is getting the 100k for taxes per year....sold for $1.8M in 1999...
NYC property taxes are lower than average
