As an FYI, C.W. Post was originally a patient at the Battle Creek Sanitarium in Michigan, where John Harvey Kellogg took in patients who had gout and other dietary based diseases. He developed many diet-based products never originally intended for retail sale outside the sanitarium. As a patient, Post realized the commercial viability of these products and rooted around to discover the recipes. Among the products he ‘took’ were Corn Flakes (which were originally intended to be eaten dry), and the roasted barley coffee substitute that he called Postum. Eventually J H Kellogg’s brother, Will, lobbied for them to manufacture their dietary products for retail sale and thus was born Battle Creek, Michigan as the cereal capital of the world. Obviously, money was made hand over fist, too, as Mar-a-Lago bears witness.

Because it can't be sold as a private residence. Trump gave that up in a permanent deed to the National Trust. He got tax write offs but now the property can only be ued as a "private recreational club". Forever. What would you pay for this property if you could only live in the apartment of the "live in property manager" and the rest of the property would be used by strangers. What Billionaire wants a house where other people swim in the pool and eat at the restaurant that was once a private dining hall?

OK, it was interesting listening to Margo but the 1920s was not the height of the great depression that’s the 1930s and this house was built in 1920s if you could publish something, you should look at your historic record

@@HenrySousa-n2c Fred made the actual money, Donald has been mostly a failure of a businessman. Almost all of his businesses, including real estate, have been terrible failures. He'd be much much richer if he had just taken his massive inheritance and put it in an index fund instead. Donald's only legitimate success in his entire life was The Apprentice.

@@falkothegreatyeah, she owes 20 million to vendors, and staff that worked for her. She made sure all of her rich friends got paid and a about a half billion came from ordinary people who donated to her campaign. The rest from mega donors. You know she got kickbacks. That's all this administration has been about was them getting as much money as possible. I can't believe she got the votes she did.
