The biggest house in the Hamptons is actually Ira Rennert's. It is like 60 acres, 100,000 sq ft and worth half a billion dollars.
while true, the video is about expensive, not biggest. and while Fairfield Pond may also be the most expensive, it's not listed for sale nor has it gone through a transaction. the homes featured in this video are active on the MSLS and that is the criteria.

anyone who claims to know the worth of Fairfield Pond is just blowing smoke. the current value can be based solely on the cost of the land, the construction cost, and yearly taxes, and that is still purely speculative. cannot add the furnishings, artwork, or vehicles. since there aren't any comps, the value would be established should anyone ever have the opportunity to purchase the property, and then, the purchase price establishes the value. presently, it's all speculation, and the way the internet is, as we've seen in these responses, it's 500,000,000.00, it's 248,000,000.00 and neither AAPSG Group have any way of knowing, and passing it on your way to work just means you lived in the hamptons and you worked, lame. edanxkr is just as lame with that inflamed response, and incorrect one at that, although in fairness, the property does belong to the rennart family, but anyone who watches these shows would know that. if i were to guess, i would say fair market value for the structures and land would probably fall somewhere between 125M and 160M, with the caveat that the property doesn't get divided

phil, the video is NOT about the biggest, and regardless of it's estimated value, Fairfield Pond has never been listed for sale. it is a private build for the use of one family, not purchased through a sale. the criteria is the most expensive for sale, and the criteria used to determine that is the MSLS. pay attention people
dont believe everything you read on the internet. unless you're reading specific tax documents from the taxing authority, or the assessment and appraisal documents, you're most likely wrong on everything you've put here, other than it's location, although we don't string it out the way you did. we just say, it's in the hamptons, and we know where that is, no matter where in the sates we live

no they didn't. the Rennart property has never been sold. this is about the most expensive for sale. the MSLS is the criteria used to determine that and since Fairfield Pond has never been sold, any value you note is purely speculative. but, it must be nice to be stupid and ignorant. stay stupid, it gives me something to comment on

Great. lol Just another thing I'll never have. I'm thinking that I should have gone to college and dropped out vs joining the Navy. I wish my goal at a younger age was to make money. I still work for the DoD, but definitely am not prepared for retirement. Inflation has destroyed any hope of retirement. My fault. I should have saved more. I just stay home with my PC. Good news is that I'm a vet (no benefits taken), I have my job (DoD helicopter stuff), and I'm good at it. I hate the politics of it, but my job is probably all that is keeping me alive for now. I don't have a retirement plan because I didn't plan ahead, my bad... I guess I will just work until I die....I hope young people read this sht and save money, don't be me! :).

don't look back. you may be one of the smart ones. actually, there's a lot of discussion now that would put the college education as a waste of time and money. when i look at my college education, and every penny paid for through my efforts, much of it was a waste. while i may use snippets of my general education, not related to my major, but the pre-reqs to graduate, most is a waste. fortunately, i used just about every bit of my major having spent 20 plus years in marketing and sales related positions. now, i run my own landscaping company, something i've always loved, and can't help think of the time i wasted going to college. mostly because that's what was expected of me by family, society, employers, and consequently, myself. fortunately, the major gave me the foresight to focus on a very thin niche, properties getting ready to go on the market. as these properties go, being college educated didn't make a difference for their owners. and presently, many of the owners are developers. the developers who developed these properties, there's no major for that. that's a skill and who you know. also much comes from inherited wealth. the wealth needed to acquire any of these properties doesn't get generated from a job due to a college education. inherited wealth, multiple income streams, some nefarious business deals, and daddy's money is how one of these properties is acquired.
