I want to give you an INFINITE THANK YOU for this guide!!! It took me over a month of trying... but today, I finally got my shiny WISHMKR Jirachi. I was literally ONE frame off NINE TIMES before. But today on my second try of the night I got it :) It's my Birthday too and I've always wanted to get a shiny on my Birthday but I never thought I'd be able to get such a rare one on this date. And it's all thanks to your guide. I would like to say though that patience plays a very important role RNG'ing this beast of a mon. I'd also like to add that having a copy of Emerald to check the IV's of the Jirachi's obtained while calibrating the Eon Timer is a MUST. On my first attempt back in February I was over 130 frames off from the shiny frame, and without the IV checker in the Battle Frontier it's literally impossible to pinpoint the exact time Eon Timer needs to be set up at. Nevertheless, thank you so much, you helped me get what is perhaps my most valuable shiny ever :D
17:42 I can see TYPE7 but in game, u change TYPE to 12 in option. I'm confused what I should do. just I should bring together both of them? play time also over 8m ur game screen, just I followed this video and sometimes I can't find jirachi's IV. I wonder I'm doing correctly.
Hey Rex; thanks for the guide and tools I’m confused though 22 attempts now into my pursuit, and twice I’ve gotten this Adamant Jirachi that won’t be recognized by Jirachi_Identifer and causes the program to abruptly close itself. (I’m also going for the Serious one) I’m confused what I’m doing wrong or what the script’s issue is, and the stats also don’t perfectly match any terribly close Jirachi, *maybe* one about 39 seeds from 7360 Update fyi: Rex found that this was a bug in the Identifier program, where it was finicky outputting info about Adamant missed attempt spreads at times. He’s since fixed the program, but if the version linked in this video isn’t, reach out to him and he may be able to give you the updated version. I’ve since gotten the Serious frame Shiny myself, so, you can too!
I'm trying to get a shiny Jirachi for not only me but for my best firend too. Jirachi is one of his favorites and he likes the shiny version. I actually noticed when I put in a Naughty nature spread with a stat spread of HP26, ATK 16, DEF 15, Sp.Atk 15. Sp Def 13 and Speed 16 it actually crashed the identifier so I went old school and pumped it with rare candies to get the ivs in a caculator.
i know its been around four years since posted, but could you use a save file editor to just change your tid and sid and only have to do the long clock one?
Hi, I am trying to do this hunt for that same Jirachi and I had some questions about the part where at the end in this video, you used rschecksum to find that you had to -94 frames. Does that mean the rschecksum gameplay time needs to be updated? So if it was -94 frames, do I minus 1 second and 34 frames from the rschecksum section at the bottom? Or do you just subtract the 94 from and leave the gameplay time as is in rschecksum? Thank you
@@ProfessorRex Okay, so since it's 60 frames per second, do I add 1 second and 34 frames to the bottom section of rschecksum or leave the gameplay time as is for the next run? Thank you.
Not sure if I don't have the up to date version of the Jirachi Identifier tool, but whenever I input the stats for this Naughty Jirachi the program just closes. I read a comment that says they were having similar issues with an Adamant Jirachi.
Vary - Sadly the Celebi bonus discs are properly shiny locked. Had you asked a few years ago we still thought you could get a shiny if you managed to roll a second shiny after the first shiny check. Alas, that’s not even the case and the pink onion fairy just isn’t available
Vary Celebi is generated on the GameCube itself so instead of using a seed from the save it uses a seed on the GameCube. On retail it should be possible but the GameCube uses a nanosecond clock which would make it extremely difficult
How do I know if my desired spread/seed is "hittable"? At the 3 min mark you said not all are possible. I want D517 Jolly Jirachi with 31/29/30/31/30/31
@@ProfessorRex wow, thank you for that amazing response. So I need to rng that exact id combo? How reliable is that process? And i need to wait 6 hours for that seed?
Just curious, how long did it take you to get that Jirachi? I've only done the simplest of RNG in Gen 4 and Gen 7, so this sounds like quite a bit more work than anything I've ever attempted. But good guide, not sure if I could ever pull it off, but I feel like I kinda understand how to do this now. Maybe when I have the time I'll try it myself someday.
Mariogamer159 my brother and I did it together and it probably took us about 40 attempts each. The final frame is really hard to hit because of how battles and NPCs can change frame advancement
Yeah, the battles and NPCs affecting frames is what scares me about attempting this myself. But 40 tries is actually a lot more reasonable than I was expecting. It's still a lot, obviously, but It's not in the hundreds like I thought it would be.@@ProfessorRex
@@Mariogamer159 You can get it in a few tries or many. There were quite a few times where we were 1-5 frames off which can be really frustrating but also really motivating
I'm aiming for Shiny Jirachi and I am making the attempt to do this blind. I am using three games. Two Rubies with dead batteries and then a Sapphire with a live battery. So far I am 12 weeks in to it.
@@nobleginger2535 I would recommend getting live batteries if possible. If you hop into my discord and @bean0 he might be able to help you more with the shiny hunt
I just realized I can not do this... Well I can, but since I life in the EU I would have to buy an US Gamecube, US Gameboy Advance/SP, the bonus disc, A US Ruby and or Saphire cartridge and maybe even some cables deu to them either not being compatible with the hardware and or for me to adjust the voltage that comes out of the electricity sockets here. That would be one expensive Shiny, and allot of useless hardware/ software afterwards.
@@ProfessorRex Thanks but I am not sure if those are entirely legal, as in the guide that I found mention altering the code in the Pokemon Channel game with third party hardware. At that point I might as well use an action replay or gameshark. But thank you for the reply, I do appreciate it.
hi, i know im a bit late but you need to download dolphin and the bonus disk rom, and within the controller settings set up port 2 as "GBA (TCP)" then load the rom file of the bonus disk in dolphin, and then (i havent tested on vba) on mgba mess with your RTC which should be on the last column to get to the screen that shows the internal battery is dead, then load your ruby/sapphire rom (must be usa, doesnt work for emerald) and then connect to dolphin; note when you try to get the jirachi, it needs to be after obtaining the pokedex as it will give you an error on the bonus disk saying you need to get the dex. i hope this helps, please reply if you want some clarifications

By the time you are saving and hacking your TID this whole method is useless. You can just change the Seed directly

Battle Krab you must start all over. The TID/SID selection sets the RNG seed for that run.
Additionally the SEED for Jirachi is generated based off of in game play time

I mean cant you also do this with dolphin and VBA M? I don't think all that proprietary stuff is necessary

does the japanese version's celebi work the same way?
