I had to change dots as well. Went from the standard 1” splatter type that are black and turn green when you hit them to a simple orange 1/2” dot that you would get at office max or staples. Was able to get a bunch of them for a couple bucks. Noticed right away that having that smaller aiming point more closely matched the top end dot in most of my 25x magnification scopes. Really helped me understand if my hold was solid when I pulled the trigger.
Also the difference in the measurements can be brass neck tension changing it hornady brass I see that all the time lapua and alpha brass seating is way more consistent and also using a mandrel helps that to

@@RobsReloading I use the exact caliper and I promise 1 thou of jump is nothing compared to .5 gr of difference in power charges, I throw with a rcbs charge master and measure on a a&d and trickle with a dandy trickler nothing more accurate in my opinion

I may have to look into that. The smaller dot made the hold a little more consistent and easier to center up on the target with each round.
I agree 100% with the 1/2" dot @ 100 yds then 1" @ 200 yds and so on
why magnum primers ?
I really like my 21st century hand primer for consistency. Just dial it in and forget it. No primer feed mechanism but it works for me
Should be a good load for the tournament. No vertical string from the cold bore shot.
Things went prettywell. Video from the comp will be posted Saturday morning!
Don’t get a a&d fx120 u will find out how far off the scale really is 😂

I need to upgrade from my $6 caliper before I upgrade to a $1k scale lol
