Just starting to load some 6GT while I wait on my MPA custom to be built. I'm loading the same Hornady 105 BTHP as they were the cheapest I could find for fire forming my new Alpha brass. I'm loading with 33 grains of CFE223 I had left over for this with CCI 41 primers. Thanks for the video!
On that feed issue like I mentioned in your previous 6gt video I have one in 6 creed and has the same issue and own multiple mags that I’ve changed out. Also this is an issue lots of people complain about but what seemed to help was when I greased up the track on the bolt with gun grease and ran some more oil on the bolt than I normally would it actually helped quite a bit
The issue I am having is not with the bolt getting stuck or not running smoothly. The issue is with the rounds not feeding. The rifle feeds just fine if you drop a round on top of the mag. If your bolt is catching up and not running smooth I'd send the rifle back for warranty. Stay tuned to the channel as i think I have the feeding issues fixed in upcoming videos.
I just got a barrel done in 6gt, I’m going today and doing load development with the same bullet and varget, I cannot load that bullet at 2.500 it’s in the lands I had to push it back 1.980 to get it to the lands I’m trying 40thou off. Was told by several people they like jump so we will see
SAAMI spec for the 6mm GT says minimum C.O.A.L is 2.515" and maximum is 2.640". Just for kicks, I tried RL17 in QuickLOAD at this length and an exactly full case is 38 grains with maximum pressure under 60,000 psi and velocity 3091 fps. pressure increases to 63,650 at 100° F, which is still under the maximum of 65K, but there's really no reason to push-it with this cartridge! Oh, that's with the default 44.70 grain H2O case. Have you had a chance to measure a fireformed case?
I have not measured a fire formed case yet. Looking at the load data 3k feet per second is very achievable with a few different powders. At some point we will test some of those powders and push velocity. Right now I'm trying to be a little conservative as most with the GT say that is were the cartridge thrives.
I think the issues will be remedied by an higher quality mag. If not seekins is willing to take the rifle back and see if they can fix it. The customer service rep I talked to said this is the first time anyone has had an issue...

Everything looks really good. Thank you
Good start
With the same rifle in 6GT I have found my mag feeds reliably after pulling it down to sit further down after clipping it in.
With the Magpul mag?
Hornady 105 BTHP seem to work best .005" to .010" off the lands.

Nice loads, were any of the charges compressed?
The whole reason for the GT design was to alleviate feeding issues.
May want to reach out to George Gardner and see what his recommendations are.
Dumping the Magpul mag solved my issues if you watch later videos.

Quit running it out to the lands. Your groups will improve. Could also feed better with a shorter cartridge?
Never heard of Hodgkin.
What bullet manufacturer for the 105’s. I’ve never had anything higher than .35” groups with Berger Hybrids or VLDs.
Hornady they are a pretty affordable bullet. I was very happy with the performance.
That's a shame that rifle doesn't feed better.

I enjoy your videos, but calling HODGDON (Hodge - DUN) Hodgkin, drives me nuts. Please STOP IT!
My apologies, will try to correct in the future. Thanks for the view!
