The 6&6.5 Creeds are pretty much loaded maxed out from factory loads. Proprietary powders is the difference from factory and what we load along with barrel length and chamber dimensions.
Inside of 300 yds, high bc projectiles gains are minimal over cup and core fb or bt.
Proficiency and accuracy is the name of the game.
I'll keep my ..243's and 25-06 with 1-8 twists over the Creeds.
Doing fine job with your channel 👍.

Got 130 CX all the way up to 2900 FPS on a 20 inch barrel (Tikka T3x CTR) with that superformance. Couldn't get them to stabilize or group though, planned to revisit with the 120 Grain CX. Looking at both of the box offerings from Hornady with the CX bullets for 6.5 Creed (Outfitter and Superformance) they both use the 120gr bullet, and use the 130gr exclusively with the 6.5PRC. Between impact velocity and twist rate needed to stabilize I'm sure there is a reason for this. Do note however, that the superformance is not in the Hodgdon "Extreme" lineup of powders so you may be better off with the staball or 4350 when you take temperature stability into account for a hunting ammo.
Good luck and Thanks for the Video!

I’m kind of shocked that they wouldn’t stabilize. I have had good luck incidentally with better than expected velocities out of my compact Tikka T3X Lite also.

I load Hornady 143 gr ELD-X with 43.2 gr of Staball 6.5. My average velocity has been about 2783 fps with a 22" Savage 110 barrel. So far, it is my favorite load. I was using H4350 for a while but I was having to push the limits of pressure with that powder to get the velocities that I get with the Staball powder. I get better velocities and SD's with the Staball and no pressure signs. Accuracy is about the same; barely sub MOA.

If your shots are never over 250, I'd find whatever powder launches the monometals the fastest and load them hot but safe and go hunting. Even if it groups 6" at that distance just always aim in the center of the zone. Dead deer. I'm still back and forth on whether or not I'll ever load the 6.5CM. I have so much factory ammo that shoots half MOA it would be kinda pointless for me. Norma Bondstrike, Norma Whitetail, S&B 140, and 156 grain cup/core bullets, Hornady ELDX. Now I have this new S&B BLUE tipped non leaded stuff to try.

If you keep buying the factory stuff, you're right, you'll never reload for it. Buy some bullets, brass and dies. Maybe that'll entice you...

Looks like it is a 22" barrel, according to J&A Outdoor's website. That's some serious velocity with Superformance.

Superformance is one of my favorite powders. It is temperature sensitive, but I’ve had great results using it in several calibers, especially 6.5 creedmoor. I even bought some Midwest powder from American Reloading that is supposedly similar to Superformance. Haven’t really worked with it much yet though.

Enjoy your content but have zero interest in the 6.5. I believe the 6.5 and smaller projectiles are not suitable for large game hunting which I do. You are ok for deer but anything bigger no! People will argue this subject but I simply don't care about the argument period. If you hunt big game here in the Americas you must have 30cal or better for ethical killing. Does not matter if it can be done. If your goal is paper, steel or medium to small game, have at it. Thanks for the content :)

@@russherbert839 I am aware! We also used spears to kill mammoths. There is no guarantee of shot placement, especially at distance! This is exactly what I was referring to, someone would make an excuse for the 6.5 on large game. How predictable humans are these days!
