Would be better off getting a bigger single turbo for them like this one. Converting to twin, you'd have to change turbos, loom, ecu and more which would cost a lot of money and time for not much difference at all

These aren’t that bad the only reason you hear people say bad things about the N47 is because of the BMW service intervals which is something like 15-20k miles which is crazy, also another reason is because the amount of N47s the sold is a bonkers amount since it came with 1-2-3-4-5 series and many other ones also.

Yiu can buy a 325d/425d stage 2 +/-300hp and 560nm. Still 2.0 diesel but with two turbo's. Yes 2 turbo's, not twinscroll single turbo.

What is needed to turn a 420d b47 into a 425d? Only a twinturbo fit? Thinking about squeeezing the max power possible into this fine engine.

Not something we look at really, but it tends to be the same if not improved slightly, obviously depending on driving style
So I'm assuming the B47 lump, what about any of the bi-turbo setups ?, (asking for a friend 😆😂)
We're not sure if this one will fit the B47 yet. In terms of twin turbo set ups, we've not got any at the minute

Why not just get a 430d(258hp)stock if you want power?
Not everyone has 430d money (price, insurance, tax etc) and we wanted to make something for the people that want to have fun with the 2.0L engine as well
Perhaps more responsive than a 3.0 because there’s not as much engine to move (crank, pistons etc).
What was the stock power of this car ?

They are 184hp stock but usually when they come into us they run between 170-180

That's an oil pump and oil quality issue.

Why not add an intake kit for an extra 10/15hp along with that metering valve, fairly cheap for what you get go be fair.
The limiting power Faktor is not air it’s not being able to add more fuel
