Naww there's no way that can be true...I own a stock '17 430i coupe which has 248hp and 258 ft-lb and if I tried to race a 440i, they would take me to gap-plebees 100%. It's not to say my car is slow or that this guy's car is slow, it's just that the 440i is marginally faster stock. A bm3 Stage 2 430i might be able to hang with a stock 440i

My 420d sounds similar but louder - I've got a full straight pipe from the turbo and I've got a stage 2 ecu map, 240hp and 510nm

Hows it holding up? Maps like these are known to put extra pressure and wear on the engine and other components, also wonder whats the maximum torque that the stock flywheel can handle

Your 420d would definitely not be able to pull away from a 435i/440i on a motorway. My stage 1 430d has 326bhp (same power as a 40i on paper btw) and 690nm of torque. It does 100-200kph in under 13 seconds whereas a 40i does it in 12s and a 35i in 14s. Your 420d has 100bhp and 220nm less than mine, the numbers don’t lie

Nayab Masud yeah, my 435d xDrive is running 410BHP and limited to 910Nm Torque, I pull away from so many STOCK m4s, but a stage 1 M4 would beat me no doubt
2l diesel owners are on another level. 😂😂😂 they all think they are quick and I don’t get it. My Ibiza 1.4tsi was shitting on stage 1 420d and now I it’s remapped to 215hp and I keep with 330d stage 1 up to 100mph from rolling. The 1.4tsi is 100-200 in about 13 seconds 😂 and I know I can’t beat 440i or m4. Delusional

So far on mine ive only done a stage 1 map done by celtic tuning and its running at around 400hp and 770nm of torque, been considering doing a few more bits to it but just not sure what are some good next options at the moment.

My EGR was recalled by bmw to be replaced. If I delete that, won’t it pose the risk for why the BMW x5s were recalled in the first place? Thanks
I have the 220d and no way I would do that, the smell would be so awful that I would hate it. With the money you put into doing that you could just get a 30i and be happier. Diesels are just not for sound, still miss my MX-5 ND with the 2L...

@@Cw-performance He did a DPF delete + full custom 3 inch exhaust with dual outlets. The price varies at each garage. I was quoted 1100 for all of that + a Stage1 remap included.

Such a waste of money putting all those mods to 420d. Just do custom rolling road map and be done with it. my stock 435d would gap this 420d in comfort mode.

Can you do a review on your racechip like 6 months review or something cuz half the experiences I've heard have been bad after a couple of months, a year, even a couple of weeks and advised to not recommend.

Sorry I only just saw this. I owned it with the pedal box on there for a couple months and it was awesome. The little swivel wheel was stylish and small enough to be hidden away so it couldn’t been seen only if I told them it was there. It changed the feel of the car, I love the different driving modes etc, most of the time driving around I had the responsive in eco mode, but when I was drifting it was good to put it in sport+ as it gives you a lot of control. And when drifting you need power as soon as when you put your foot on the throttle so it helps. I’d definitely recommend it. Was also easy to install as well.

How good is the peddle box compare to bmw sport mode ?
Alan Yeung much better than the sport mode, it’s so much more responsive when you wanna drive fast. But gets annoying when you’re around town as a little blip on the throttle and it tries to go😂😂

Lol I dunno how modding a 420d with any tune can pull on a 435i let alone a 440. It's only a 4 banger with 230hp. But sounds really nice!

@@Klytz sorry I’ve only just seen this as well. It’s a straight pipe exhaust, stage 1 remap, intercooler and a K&N filter but that doesn’t make too much difference. And that’s it, I think it did sound really good for a 2.0 petrol

It was a custom straight through exhaust and it was running the oem turbo

@@MickyleMcgowan decat exhausts are illegal across the uk. Not only that but it also voids your insurance so you'll also get done for driving with no insurance. Might wanna change your exhaust system mate

I notified them about exhaust at the time. But I sold it back in May so I didn’t own it long
