- Today we metal detect a cold water creek searching for relics, coins, bottles, and any other things of interest we may discover.
About Aquachigger:
I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure,
metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. I keep my UA-cam "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
BTW, you can also catch me here, / chiggsarmy ,but I may get a little edgier there. FB isn't a place for kids anyway...lol.

Thanks for watching…. The Chigg
Thank you, 'Chigg, for another
absorbing video! I was interested in that shotgun - it's too bad you didn't find the rest of it. I also liked that pulley, very cool!
I love your videos, even if you're just talking about your home menagerie (or turtles, or pawpaws, or...) 😊 Thank you once again. 😏💕
I'm back And forth Chigg. Find it!
Ps. The story of when you were a kid and found kittens was poignant. Thanks for sharing as you do.
Always love a Chig history lesson! Thanks good sir. You’ve got an open invite to come search camp at the Revelers Ridge, civil war cemetery near, and perhaps a gold mine or two..
A scraper could make a good living in the creek thank you for the wonderful videos stay safe and keep metal detecting
Even a bad day with Chigg beats a good day in an office.👍 Thanks for taking us along with you.
I know, right? Beau has that magical power to uplift any day.
Love your channel how do ibuy your cap from you .thank you for the videos patsy
Hi chig the pointed brass thing looks like a safety razor handle.
Just getting out in the river seems fun ❤
It's so relaxing to watch these. Nice to live a bit vicariously through your channel.
Thanks For The River Adventure I love your Videos to.Have A Good
Evening😊👍
Thanks, you too!
Great looking bridge 🇬🇧🇬🇧
i laugh if i think of stressful stuff too, i think its just a stress response, even if it is a little weird.. poor little kittens, you magnificent and a very good man mister chiggs , keep it up!
Thanks
Yeah - that was pretty disturbing, the kittens...
Thanks Chigg for another great AQUACHIGGER ADVENTURE
Chiggs great video. That dump was once buried by the water and the river eroded it over the years. I hate to see trash in the water, but you can’t take it all out even when we try.👍👏😀
Great video Ian Birmingham England 🇬🇧👍
Thanks for shareing! Enjoyed watching.
Glad you enjoyed it
11:09 probably a pitch potted electrical transformer. More leads (5-6) should mean very old local mains transformer, (we've been using oil filled transformers forever now) so 40's(?) at the latest(would be hilarious if it still worked). 4 wires should be a simple step up or down transformer for something.
slowly working back to the grizzly adams version of aquachigger. Im here for it!
I believe that's an old embossed Orange Crush bottle, nice find!
The item at 18:04 is a duck decoy weight as you were thinking. It is made like that so once the line is wound around the decoy the anchor is then slipped over the decoy's head for handy storage.
Terrible how much junk was in that river ,another great video
Still always worth checking any old stone brige site .....
Great video Chigg. If I were to guess, I’d say that rifle cartridge looking piece is a punch. Unless it’s hollow. 👍🏼
So much debris in the river, Beau. The old sewing machine was interesting.❤
It is indeed so relaxing to watch you Chig! My go to after stressful days
Nail set great video chig
I'm pretty sure that brown bottle is an Orange Crush bottle from the 1940's or so. I found a similar one when I dug in an old bottle dump as a kid that still had an orange diamond-shaped logo on one side and grooves in the glass like the one you found.
What a trash river! lol,, But,, I loved the fish weir! There are some down here in Georgia on the Chattahoochee too and some other rivers as well,, History that is almost gone,, Thanks for sharing that and not just passing it by...
Any day on the river is a good day
Thanks Chigg 🤘😎 That place was a junkyard.
I appreciate the donation!
The tubular object with the slit in it, is a counter weight for a sliding door ... could be horizontal or vertical. At a factory I used to work at 40 or so years ago a heavy reinforced fire door that slid horizontally, it move with some effort till one of the weights fell off, then it barely moved 😂 wow the 2 weights on each side made a huge difference.
Thanks for your program, im a military historian and hobby archeologist.
I enjoyed the video chigger keep it up 👍
So sorry for you Chigg to see you pull all of man’s junk out of that river makes me think. What are we doing to this world? 😢 Love your vid’s and just hangin and being yourself! 💯🙏👍
Great video Chigg. Pretty sure that was a Shakespeare ugly stik. Life time warranty 😉😉
That fish weir is interesting!
Thank you for taking us along on another great adventure 👍
Thanks for taking us along.
It's a real shame people polluted creeks and rivers like that. What a beautiful stone Bridge that was. Thanks Chigg
Looks kind of like a motor cycle battery, with the top and terminals missing. Great video stay safe.😊
Beautiful bridge!
Nicely done Chigg I enjoyed the video. 🇺🇸
You could’ve used your newly acquired torch and battery to check the cave 😂
Great hunt Dude thanks for sharing 😁😎
That thing you thought was a mechanical pencil looked a lot like a center punch for marking where to drill, just missing the tip.
The cube shaped thing with wires is an electrical transformer
I love all your videos Chigg! I hope you and Lindsey are doing well!
Aloha Chigg, Looks like a nail set with the small end blunted or broken; could be a 10 gauge for commercial duck hunting back in the day; That rock looks like it was formed around ivory tusks that rotted away. Peter below said maybe 2 different gauges - looks like he's correct. 10/12, 10/20, 12/20? Thanks for the companionship Chigg!
A good way to keep the magnet clean is to have like a pill bottle bottom shaped like a milk bucket from the old days, with a small elastic string so it doesn't fall off. When you've picked up too much magnetic trash, you pull the plastic off the magnet and it falls off, leaving the magnet clean as can be. I have a magnet stick, for field walking and that's how i keep it clean. I don't know about other soils, but our old family land has quite a bit of iron in it so it would get caked in bits of dirt if it weren't for that.
I really like your show i wood love to go with u so time u could help me lured a lot keep up the good work amen
It looks like the Mona Lisa cantilever stone bridge !
I don't know if you are on the Shenandoah or not. But the very first public improvements project in the Valley was the construction of a huge series of weirs. These weren't constructed for fishing. They were built to raise and direct the main channel/flow of the river to allow downstream navigation. There's dozen's of them.
That bottle u found is probably a lot better than the hat lol
Decoy weight , set out many a decoy with that ! 👍👍
Enjoyed the creek hunt Chiggs ! Nice assortment of finds. We actually have local community clean up days in our area. Clean up areas that are high lighted or pointed out by residents. Perhaps we sow some good seeds for younger generations by involving them and education on these discarded items. Take care and best regards always !
I believe that iron piece was this hitch point of a single tree. A long piece of wood passes through the large loop and goes out to the hitches on the horse.
yup !
Communities should get together and have clean-up weekends. It is devastating to see trash in our waterways as it is to see graveyards left to ruin.
Looks like a Burnside bridge
Gold beer can a Michelob from 1970s. Quite a familiar sight.
Been watching you for years, congrats on the channel holy smokes. Thanks for all the hunts
Great stuff as always. Take care.
Nice adventure! To bad there's so much recent trash in the stream.
@ 7:04 > Metal object looks like the end cap / connector from a whipple tree or double tree. Usually they're round-ish. This one ( being square) may be the connector to an implement used to drag behind a horse, or team of horses, with lots of chains attached to smooth out a dirt surface.
Chig , that metal box with the wires coming out of the top is an electrical transformer. Looks like an old one.
Hey chigg that thing you found at 9:30 I believe is a old nail set for trim at least thats my guess. God bless you and your family my friend.
Yes. Nail set or a center punch
Either one, but the end has been broken off.
@@lucasdog1 I just read in the comments where someone said the handle of a old razor witch could be it to now that I think about it. God bless you and your family my friend
Thank you for sharing. I may be wrong but the piece of pulley might have been part of what's called a block and tackle?
It's a single tree on plows. You hook a horse to it to plow garden with. They use them for everything. Singletrees 🇺🇸👍💪
The iron artifact at 7-19 looks like the center part of a single tree.
The bottle that you found after the Shotgun barrel was an Orange crush I believe. I have 2 that are very simular.
Please go back to check out that cave!
❤an unopened beer! What a waste! Lol
‘They’ should be paying you for this… ‘AquaChigger’s River Cleaning Service’… 😳😜
Great content my man!
I like the double barrel. My dad been gone for awhile now. He let me use it to choot my 1st goose. 16 gauge it was. I own it now. Rk.
The tapered thing you found is a safety razor handle.
Another awesome video.
Always enjoy your content. Hey Chigg do you ever detect on the Mattaponi ?
I like it!! 😊👍
Go back and check out that cave chig!!
i think the thing at 19:14 is the handle to an old fashioned men’s razor :)
Thanks!
Thanks so much!
That bullet looking pin is a door hinge that mounts to the hinge
7:10 pretty sure that goes on the trace and holds the loop under the horse's chest. Might be wrong, there's so many variations on the same theme that it's difficult to know them all if you're not into it.
17:58 yup, that's what that is. Found them instantly on Google. That one looks pretty old, nowadays they're made a bit different.
19:12 handle for a shaving tool. Man... of all the things i find, those are by far the most common here in Europe. Several of us get vacation days and gather up and detect, and between us, there's at least 20 per year.
that thing that is shaped like a pen is ! I think a scribe ,minus the harden steel point !
i wasnt expecting a old sewing machine lol
Thst last thin is a fishing reel for fishing line. Old id say.
When did they stop making pull tabs...70 something or later?
Is there any particular reason ya don't use wireless head phones with the AT max. was gunna buy the AT max because it comes with them.
It’s an awl. The rough part is where you hold it and hit the other end with a hammer. You know like to knock a stuck bolt out.
the item at 20:06 is an old screwdriver handle, some had hollow butts that held misc. size tips.
Het Chig that peace you weren't sure what was is the mettle peace of a single tree to hook your horse to the implement you are using
The iron cylinder with a slot through it looks like a weight off of a balance scale
Love it
First here! Love your videos.
Rein gide Beau
All those batteries in the river that can't be good. Doesn't it contaminate the the water?
Believe it or not people have started collecting those old beer cans even if they in a little rough condition
Could be a river swimming Sams Squinch Chigg they got metal teeth now
That car battery is worth $12 for a core. And O'reilly's gives out store credit for them.
👍⭐️
That's no deer that was Ricky
The barrels ...a Parker or a Lefever...
Looked like an Orange Crush bottle
At about 14:00 I think that was a weight for a feed store scale
That square item looks like an old transformer for some electrical item. Probably full of tar for insulation. Maybe
