Tons of em in my neck of the woods. People just dont have the interest in them. Scrapped one out a handful of years ago...hurt to do but you cant keep em all.
That thing is most certainly restorable you should see the rust buckets that get restored here in pa, if that truck was in pa it would be a pile of rust by now.
Yeah definently not beyond restoring, but you would never get your money back. They are awesome trucks and very collectable, but don't bring muscle car kind of money. I want it though lol
We just dug around an old log cabin from the early 1800s and dug so much random stuff - car parts, rusty bits, old hammers, etc. Enough to fill 5 5 gallon buckets and all we found was a thimble and a Dandy button worth mentioning. So I so totally feel you my man. LOL I think I lost 3 lbs from digging today so at least got that :) LOL Hope you are enjoying WV. I'm from Logan (coal country). I'm related to Devil Anse Hatfield and the McCoys also LOL.
It's amazing, that probably 1000 people have rummaged around that old house, and you are the only one that found the musket barrel hiding in plain sight
Well most people aren’t as smart as the Chigg! A musket barrel sitting in plain site and only the Chigg knows what it is👍🏻👍🏻 Well done Beau! I believe the place is worth another search! If something civil war related is there the Chigg will find it!! Thanks for sharing! Be safe and HH 🎧⛏
Another good adventure guys, I’ll probably bring both my AtMax and Apex out this weekend. That power wagon was neat as well. We still use those in the fire service. We have 2 that are active brush trucks and are in pristine condition. They literally can climb and comb through any terrain over our modern trucks.

Here's how a 71-year-old Dodge Power Wagon pickup becomes a $350,000 status symbol www.autoevolution.com/news/this-dodge-power-wagon-features-lexus-leather-seats-38-inch-tires-72-liter-v8-143057.html#agal_6
I always wear my bright orange vest during hunting season when I'm out metal detecting or rock hounding just because I get a little paranoid about trigger happiness. You just never know. Be safe my friend and lots of luck.
Since youre knowledgeable about them; any idea what model Beau was looking at there? And if its restore-able or if its rotted beyond repair? Im not much of a car guy or maybe id know the answers to these questions lol.
I don't think the doors etc.. are reproduced, I have an M37 which has the benefit of more stockpiled parts. I'm pretty sure you would have to see what Vintage Power Wagons has in their used stock for body parts.
Used to drive a Dodge Power Wagon. Top speed 35 MPH, would drive over anything, every trip ended at the chiropractor (and that was when I was 21!). Forest Service used them for fire fighting for some period.
That would be worth a look see under the floor. Woodworking guys would like to salvage the logs though. Now, as to the Power Wagon, it is still very restorable. It’d take work but not beyond saving and restoring.
Saw this Dodge Power Wagon type around the Air Base at Tuy Hoa where our HQ for the 101st was. The Air Force had that type. I was there only a few times but I remembered how cool the truck looked. Amazed I remembered this part of the bad movie I was in called " The adventures of a reluctant Draftee " filmed in the Central Highlands Republic of South Vietnam MMCLXVI.
Great video mate, that musket barrel in the fireplace is a great find. Awesome bit of history too. Keep up the great videos mate - Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen.
Those compacts are all over a huge WWII era dump. In the summer of 1941 the Honolulu municipal incinerator broke down, so all the trash was taken past Makaha & burnt. I even dug up a small 14kt wedding ring, a friend eyeballed a Walking Liberty on the surface. During the War years if you cleaned out Auntie's old room & rented to a war worker for a good rate. Honolulu was an oversized honky-tonk town "For the duration" so a lot of careless loss? "Wartime" Coke bottles are a common find. It covers acres and gets fifteen feet in places. Metal detectors are not recommended, all sorts of machine shop scrap.
It's got lands and grooves would that be Springfield Musket Beau!?... anw Nice finds!!!, Sure hunt it again if you got big green machine use that Pulse Injector!!!; )
That gun barrel in the fireplace was something else Chigg, and here we thought our generation were the inventor's of up-cycling. We've got nothin' on those folks. Thanks for another fine adventure in the weeds with Todd. It seems like there's nothing like the West Virginia brush for swiping your accoutrements. It has to be annoying to him to spend so much time looking for his tools. I hope he found some relics, seems like the barrel was a good one for you. I hope you figure out and tell us what gun it came from, and hope you can return to investigate under the floor, and the rattlesnakes haven't holed up under it for the winter.
I drove a '51 Power Wagon my senior year of high school. Dump body, plow, RUGGED!! Had 11 sticks coming up through the floor!! Center mount PTO...dump levers...front AND rear winch...plow...shifter...brake handle...2 four wheel drive handles...yea!
Another couple awesome places to check out an see what's hidden in the dirt. Wasn't the best day of finds but still nice places to go back an check out another day. The musket barrel was really cool find an the copper compact. I found one just like about six months ago on an old site that dates back to the 1780's. No mirror but a complete compact. We just never know what well find until we are out there digging it up. Great video chigg. As always safe an happy hunting/digging.😁👍👍
Interesting to see how deer season is in other parts of the country. Yours appears much later and longer. Ours in the PNW starts much sooner, it actually already ended nearly 2 weeks ago. (Modern rifle anyway idk about blackpowder). Must have to do with the mountain ranges and fast season change out here or something?...
Oh no! Your shovel needs some TLC. 😟. I hope it is an easy fix. 🍀 Aren’t you a clever one finding that musket barrel! Cudos to Todd for hanging in there after “one more target.” LOL! 😉
A WM300 Dodge is pretty tough, you can sand blast it and it will be fine. I have a 52' M37 that shares the chassis and drivetrain with those. Actually you can probably call Vintage Power Wagons and they will buy it for parts or sell it as is.
Hey man thank you for the video I enjoyed it and I think it maybe be worth coming back at least one more time to that place and just to let you know that that old truck there could be saved and I'd say it has a nice patina on it too beautiful
Oh yeah, I had one covered in surface rust and just blasted it, everything is just so thick. I'm working on an M37 now, has the same guts as these WM300s.
My brother has restored 6 model A's and T's so far. I can't remember the models but one of them was a Torpedo and believe you me, they didn't look half as good as that Dodge. He sold one of them to a guy in England for $86,000.00 and one for $65,000.00. I don't know about the other ones but he will only use original parts, no finagling of anything.
Winch is gone, someone probably pulled it, they go for a lot even in non working order. An LU4 winch for my M37 is two grand rebuilt and $700-1000 as is.
Don't know if it'd helpful out where you are, but I've been using US TOPO Maps app for finding old homes, ruins, cemeteries, settlements, etc. The app is pricey at $14.99, but it's well worth it imo. The best map/overlay is "US topo traditional DRGs", it offers older maps showing you what used to be in a certain location. I hope this helps someone
Dodge Power wagon very collectable truck.
Tons of em in my neck of the woods. People just dont have the interest in them. Scrapped one out a handful of years ago...hurt to do but you cant keep em all.
@@luke8210 They are one of the most restored trucks. very popular rigs.
@@mcgaugh57 they are great looking trucks. Just no demand for them here
That thing is most certainly restorable you should see the rust buckets that get restored here in pa, if that truck was in pa it would be a pile of rust by now.

It seems that Mr. Todd loses quite a few things when he's waffle stomping around in the woods. Great video! Thanks for taking us with you!!

I love your videos Beau. I live in NC I been subscribed for a very very long time!
Awesome place! Yes, go back! Would love to see what's under the floor! Thanks Chigg, great hunt and adventure as usual! Kelly/Indiana
I always wear my bright orange vest during hunting season when I'm out metal detecting or rock hounding just because I get a little paranoid about trigger happiness. You just never know. Be safe my friend and lots of luck.
Wonder if there were interesting stories related to the broken tools.
I’d love to have that old truck restored completely it’d be a sweet ride
That truck was amazing! The photo opportunities are endless!!!
Very cool recognizing the barrel in the chimney. Awesome find. The Power Wagon is cool. Thanks for sharing, good luck, happy hunting and take care.
That place could well be a treasure trove yet, Chig! Definitely worth an extra look once the snakes are out of the picture.
Chigg still CHIGGIN it! Great to see!
Love the Power Wagon Chigg! I have two of them a 1947 fully restored and a 1952 that is being restored.
Since youre knowledgeable about them; any idea what model Beau was looking at there? And if its restore-able or if its rotted beyond repair? Im not much of a car guy or maybe id know the answers to these questions lol.
Dodge power wagon. Every part is reproduced. . Power Wagon's never die, just their owners.
My dream vehicle!
Early one.
I don't think the doors etc.. are reproduced, I have an M37 which has the benefit of more stockpiled parts. I'm pretty sure you would have to see what Vintage Power Wagons has in their used stock for body parts.
🤦🏻♂️

Omgosh that truck would be good makins for a rat-rod, it's rare with the bed that's on it.
Yes go back. Love watching you from a far. Stay safe for South Carolina.
That was a lovely old Dodge truck. I'm sure some restorers would love to get their hands on that.
Off hand. 19:20 looks like a feeler gauge. Used to set gaps on auto plugs and points gap.
That would be worth a look see under the floor. Woodworking guys would like to salvage the logs though. Now, as to the Power Wagon, it is still very restorable. It’d take work but not beyond saving and restoring.
Thank you ! It sure helps break up the monotony of what's been happening in Philadelphia.
Wow.. fireplace. Find...awesome
Only a keen eye would have seen that... that's YOU !!
Did you ever find out what musket it's from? It's amazing it was used as a chimney support for all that time. Untouched until you found it!
Thanx Chigg for another great ADVENTURE see ya on the next

Will go back to the house next episode stay blessed and see you again .👍
Great video Chigg and Todd y’all need to come back and give it a great goin over soon
The real treasure at this location was the stones in that fireplace!!!
Great video mate, that musket barrel in the fireplace is a great find. Awesome bit of history too. Keep up the great videos mate - Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen.
Yes please come back!
Those compacts are all over a huge WWII era dump. In the summer of 1941 the Honolulu municipal incinerator broke down, so all the trash was taken past Makaha & burnt. Neat musket barrel, that can be restored as well as the truck.
Its worth going back!!!!
A musket barrel out in plain sight like that now that is a lucky find Chigg and Todd
Nice musket barrel! Chigg, you need to restore that Power Wagon! You & Lindsay would look good cruising around in it!
That Dodge truck HAS to be restored!
Yes, we must go back! Deer don't wear orange...wouldn't it be safe? I'm in anywhere in the NC triad! Or slightly west or east like!
Good catch on the musket barrel.
❤❤ yes go back to old house😊
Man, those power wagons go for ever. My dad had one, ugly as dirt but man could that truck pull.
It's got lands and grooves would that be Springfield Musket Beau!?... anw Nice finds!!!, Sure hunt it again if you got big green machine use that Pulse Injector!!!; )
@25:20 a wood froe, maybe used to shape the logs.......
Like the army truck 👍
I'd go back and pull up some of the floor boards. Way back then, didnt people find a good hiding spot
for their gold ? Or I should say " Goooold !"

The quality of this new camera is ridiculous! I approve!
Loved the old Dodge truck and the musket barrel 👌👌👌
I really enjoyed this, amazing bottles ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Of course come back! I love having you in our beautiful WV mountains!!
WOW,,NICE TRUCK
It's worth going back Chigg.
It's worth it Chigg..go check under floorboards!
Reminds me of fishing.
You see a fish jump or get a tiny nibble and always say to yourself just a few more casts.
Nice old wrench right next to those mason jar lids.
Go back to the log house. We love your entertainment Chips!🤗
That powerwagon is so cool!
That old barrel was probably from a much loved hand me down gun that was so cherished they recycled it into the property👍
Love the truck chig
That site is definitely worth going back to!
The piece of tin could have been a Daguerreotype.
Love your Adventures love you to TOD
Thanks Mary

My family owns an abandoned farm that I should go metal detect next summer
Been u while since I stopped by at this channel. Still as good as it was many years ago. Keep at it mister chig.

Aren’t you a clever one finding that musket barrel!
Cudos to Todd for hanging in there after “one more target.” LOL! 😉
It would be cool for you and Todd to go back!
In Australia we get the old cars and trucks fix them so they can't rust any more And use them as lawn art i think they look cool
A dog collar and a small caliber round🤔
I believe you have found Old Yellers final resting place
That Dodge Power Wagon is DEFINITELY NOT past restoration. They're sought after by lots of people too, and have a niche following.
Nice truck for the cover
A WM300 Dodge is pretty tough, you can sand blast it and it will be fine. I have a 52' M37 that shares the chassis and drivetrain with those. Actually you can probably call Vintage Power Wagons and they will buy it for parts or sell it as is.
Good vid chigg 👍
That power wagon has a buttload of value just in parts sitting there
Could those rings be from powder kegs?I love y'alls videos takeep me with you just kidding I go every time you guys go keep on digging
Yeah I thank it’s worth coming back to that spot I would maybe there’s a whole musket just right out of sight there Chigg
Hey man thank you for the video I enjoyed it and I think it maybe be worth coming back at least one more time to that place and just to let you know that that old truck there could be saved and I'd say it has a nice patina on it too beautiful
Enjoy watching your adventures. You ans Todd need a walkie TALKIE TO FIND each other's locations!😁🎉🎉
Love that gun Barrel! Cool fact to know about the barrel in the chimney.👍
One more target... One more target... One more target... One more target... One more target... One more target... One more target... 🤣🤣🤣
that power wagon was a beaut
A musket barrel in a rock chimney...
Of course Aquachigger will see it and rescue it.
most def, go back and find the treasure!!!
IN derby cathedral in England the rods that turn the hands are old musket barrels left behind in 1745 by the jacobite army.
That's cool. Where is it exsactly? Il have a look next time I'm in Derby
Truly enjoy yer videos ! Keep'em comin' !
That truck can be restored. I've seen worse rebuilt
Oh yeah, I had one covered in surface rust and just blasted it, everything is just so thick. I'm working on an M37 now, has the same guts as these WM300s.

Civil dodge power wagon. Probably $5000 in parts good find
Winch is gone, someone probably pulled it, they go for a lot even in non working order. An LU4 winch for my M37 is two grand rebuilt and $700-1000 as is.
that iron you found in the first couple of minutes looks like a axle cap band for a wooden axle
Don't know if it'd helpful out where you are, but I've been using US TOPO Maps app for finding old homes, ruins, cemeteries, settlements, etc. The app is pricey at $14.99, but it's well worth it imo. 20:54 does it say CA on top left corner of the slab?
Those rings you found are hub bands for a wagon hub
Worth coming back to brother
You may not have found much but cool video none the less. Awesome chimney
Charleston loves the Chigg!
Well spotted in the chimney Mr chiggs 😜👍
