I drive a 1987 Astro. When it comes to parts I’ll reuse old one, and rebuild it. Parts are getting hard to find for right replacement or worst go to a savage yard. Thanks for video.
@@bcbp14 I'm in the process of changing the whole system on my astro too. This is the best video I ever seen on the subject. Hope everything went well on your side.
@@bcbp14 That is cool to read. I'm going to follow your example. It's pretty well done in those drums. A little too crowded for me to pass on taking some reference pictures as well. That will be the last job before Carfax. Let'(s keep the fingers crossed ;-)

👍
My bleeding nipple snapped off. This fix looks easier than expected. Thanks!

It's longer simply because these are brand new cylinders and they are pushed out right from the box. You just need to press them in. Simple as that.
Same here...jack of all master of none.....I'll give the like and sub
Did you need to bleed the bakes afterwards? If so, do u have a video of that process?
you would need to but i didn't make a vid sorry most drum brakes bleed the same way and there are serval vids out there
The cylinder the part guy gave me doesn't have that groove on the one piston either.
The groove is not supposed to be there. It came from wear out against the shoe.
@@RenoLaringo thank you.

@@RenoLaringo It did. I just took a few pics along the way on my phone to reference.
