I just noticed, Limey1212! I'm a Texan, but I hold an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore license. Sounds pretentious, I know, but yes, knowledge is power. I'm glad I put in the effort! It's harder to get that an FAA ATP. I know because I've got one of those too.
Ahhh, yes. But the evidence shows that most folks have no idea what they are for. And Spring lines are only for use in April through May. Summer and Fall lines are VERY hard to find. This can be a cruel world.
@@korndawggy1801 Yeah I think my question was badly formed as it was them using the mid cleat that prompted me to say something. After years of watching this channel and seeing so few using them, I wondered if people were just not shown how to use them. Sorry for the confusion.
Certainly that last boat had a line they could have used to secure the motor... I'm sure there's more than one bump between the dock and their destination!
One series of prop strikes from a single boat. From the amount of healing/scarring looks to be about 6-9 months ago. As scars age on manatees they tend to turn white. The wound has healed but not had time to change color.
Well, not as aggravating as most episodes. HydraSport boy simply needs to turn his hat around and all would be right with his world. Easy fix for useless ballast #1? Leave her home next time. Otherwise, trending acceptable. But please show at least one or two a month who actually know what they are doing. Please? I know for a fact, not everyone in South Florida is riding the, you know, the thing (short bus) to the marina!

Logic at is clearest best!
We have always had a Transom Saver(engine support bracket) so this never happens, they are quite cheap.
Yeah I’m glad my boat has a kickstand so if this ever happened I would have an easy fix
Are mid cleats not a thing here???

The light blue boat uses one.

He's trying to steer it like a car.
He expects the bow to swing around instead of the stern.
Twin engines. Split the engine controls and don't touch the wheel and a skilled captain can make a boat rotate in place with engine control alone.

3:09 I have to wonder how much alcohol do these captains have.
Has the guy steering the Hydra Sport ever thought of entering Strictly Come Dancing?
Look at all the props the hit the manatee 😊

The one laying down on the bow of the boat is my sister and she is in the hospital very sick just so everyone knows that she is not lazy
And "acreguy3156". What do you think? You seem to have your act together. Are we pushing against the tide?
drunk or sea-sick..?
Awkwardly contorted, writhing around a bit, towel over the head. That person is not feeling well.
NO, the guy / captain of the Hydra- Sport doesn't no shit on handling a boat!!
I don’t get why people back that far out and multiple times smh
That first boat has twins and he can’t move the stern to starboard!!! Needs to practice with throttles and shifting
The Hydro Sport has no idea what he is doing
Watch all the badly failed attempts they all think they are driving a car
hmm... they want to dock... but put zero effort into effort... ????
