I know I'm late to the party but there's always the distinct possibility that 343 is simply an incredibly powerful reality bender with delusions of being "the" god, creator of the universe, but yet still not actually him. At least within this particular series on this youtube channel, 343 occasionally slips up and acts out of character such as with his adamant refusal to do anything about The Hard to Destroy Reptile because "It's not one of mine" despite that only making it even more his responsibility to protect humanity from if he is indeed their creator, and also with his apparently incorrect diagnosis of The Pestilence as "free will", among other examples. Has there ever been a test with SCP -682 (hard to kill reptile) and SCP-242 (self-"cleaning" pool)? Since 242 appears to transmute any material submerged in it into clean, purified, ordinary drinking water, I doubt the big lizard could come up with an adaptation for that.
Maybe, but most likely will not work. 682 once “adapted” from being erased from our timeline and then Uno reversed the erase onto the knife that did it. If the lizard can come back from that I don’t think anything in the main timeline can kill it.

Just in case anyone gets pissy about a spacecraft impacting the surface of Jupiter. It IS possible, as gas gets denser it can feel solid in a gaseous state. Please watch videos on what would happen if you were to fall on Jupiter or Saturn, you'd be surprised. The first several layers of gas would act just like regular gases, but as gravity grows more intense the more you'd be able to _swim_ in it until you reach a layer you can no longer sink into. You would be standing on the densest layer of gas and you still wouldn't be at the core of the gas giant yet. Not that you'd be alive to experience it anyways, the atmospheric pressure would have long since killed you around the third or fourth layers.

Couldn't you use the power source from SCP-2700-3 to potentially fuel whatever would be needed to stop it? Isn't it like an infinite source of power? Granted, it would be dangerous, but the alternative is complete destruction, regardless. I think there's at least a basis for an idea there.
The amount of times life on earth has been protected by Jupiter is truly unknowable. Without our cosmic shield we wouldn't have a chance. This is something to take into consideration when thinking about inhabiting new worlds.
I am now more curious about the moon "IO". Humanity is lucky, more so then probably deserved as a quick skim of the SCP files would show, but it is always a little more then luck. We've seen that this scp has no countermeasures against the forces of gravity. So a weapon that increases the gravity around it so much that it gets crushed like a tin can seems like the right direction to me. As for whether the scp foundation has that kind of technology is another question

I have an idea for neutralization. Two in fact, first rests on a possibility, Is the machine capable of concious perception? As in capable of interpreting images. If the answer to that question is yes... Why dont we send it a signal, disguised as one from its creators with the same encryption, and signal wavelength, Containing an image of SCP-096. We already know SCP-096 can reach just about anywhere in the universe at increasing speeds based on the distance, so it would be able to enter the great red spot and tear the machine to shreds. Another plausability, is to send SCP-096 itself to the ship, and put it near its camera. It would then beam back the image to its creators, the image of SCP-096's face. Then it would likely catapault itself to the triangulum galaxy and slaughter our attackers.
I have three. None of them involve 096, I didn't even think of that. My thought process was that if we can intercept and interpret the signals, we can make our own. There are two paths I saw from here 1. Tell it to not listen to any further signals and shut down all systems. Then we reverse engineer it. 2. Go full ape-man and DDoS it. The third solution involves something like 10000 nuclear bombs. Except, they will be the power source this time, not the payload. The nukes would each power an X-ray laser, and if you're precise, one inch of the destroyer will be hit with about 8x10^18 joules. A large chunk of the destroyer would instantly turn to plasma. I don't care what it's made of. It would turn into plasma.
Dangerous but probably effective idea (for a situation when Legionnaire fails/isn't completed in time): Take a nuke, feed it to 914 at V. Fine, and launch whatever the result is at this thing. Would probably be powerful enough to wipe out stars, so should be enough to do the job, repercussions not withstanding.

This was the first acknowledgment I saw of the new classification system. i don’t know what other people think, but I am not a fan of it at all. The vagueness of the old system allowed the “story” of the SCP and its complications to unfold over the reading of it, instead of front-loading a clutter strange, coded jargon and series of odd symbols on each file that, even if understood, gave much of the discovery and mystery of an SCP away.

I think it's because the previous EMP (Nukes were good enough since there were a lot) were too weak. They couldn't pass through the shield or didn't weaken it enough. The project : Legionnaire, is about having such a power weapon EMP that it would disable the shield through it or just so strong so the whole SCP-2399 is shutdown for a brief moment so the nukes can take it out with no problems. Because SCP-2399's whole problem is it's shield. But yet again, what they're looking for really, is to find a way to have an EMP weapon with such power.
The reason why this is the best SCP is because it could actually happen in real life one day. Very rare that an SCP has that sense of realism attached to it.

Everyone always assumes this thing came in-system to wipe out Humanity (because anthropocentrism is a thing). But Humanity (especially in the 17th century) doesn't rate enough to send that much firepower (unless the irony is that was the *smallest* thing in the fleet/arsenal). But what does rate are entities like the Daevites, Yaldabaoth, and even Mekhane. It's even possible that someone(s) or something(s) became aware of Yaldabaoth's involvement with Life on Earth and said: "No."
I don’t think SCP-2399 wants to destroy humanity: it just wants to stop by and ask for supplies. I believe that there is no SCP-001, and the real SCP-001 is SCP-184. The real SCP-184 is at the center of the universe, resulting in it’s expansion. The reason we have an exact copy is because it accidentally created a duplicate of itself due it’s properties when affecting stuff from a distance. Pocket dimensions and anomalies are the result of SCP-184, and there will be countless other anomalies on other planets.

An SK class scenario can simultanously also be an XK class scenario. SK just means that another species takes over the world and becomes the dominant species. It can do it by wiping out the former species first which also makes it an XK class scenario.

Has there ever been a test with SCP -682 (hard to kill reptile) and SCP-242 (self-"cleaning" pool)? Since 242 appears to transmute any material submerged in it into clean, purified, ordinary drinking water, I doubt the big lizard could come up with an adaptation for that.
Maybe, but most likely will not work. 682 once “adapted” from being erased from our timeline and then Uno reversed the erase onto the knife that did it. If the lizard can come back from that I don’t think anything in the main timeline can kill it.

Assuming SCP-2399 has occupants and assuming SCP-096 can really go 'anywhere', even space, they should broadcast a photo of its face to the destroyer so 096 can super jump into space just to reach them.

Just in case anyone gets pissy about a spacecraft impacting the surface of Jupiter. It IS possible, as gas gets denser it can feel solid in a gaseous state. Please watch videos on what would happen if you were to fall on Jupiter or Saturn, you'd be surprised. The first several layers of gas would act just like regular gases, but as gravity grows more intense the more you'd be able to _swim_ in it until you reach a layer you can no longer sink into. You would be standing on the densest layer of gas and you still wouldn't be at the core of the gas giant yet. Not that you'd be alive to experience it anyways, the atmospheric pressure would have long since killed you around the third or fourth layers.

Couldn't you use the power source from SCP-2700-3 to potentially fuel whatever would be needed to stop it? Isn't it like an infinite source of power? Granted, it would be dangerous, but the alternative is complete destruction, regardless. I think there's at least a basis for an idea there.

The amount of times life on earth has been protected by Jupiter is truly unknowable. Without our cosmic shield we wouldn't have a chance. This is something to take into consideration when thinking about inhabiting new worlds.

I am now more curious about the moon "IO". Humanity is lucky, more so then probably deserved as a quick skim of the SCP files would show, but it is always a little more then luck. We've seen that this scp has no countermeasures against the forces of gravity. So a weapon that increases the gravity around it so much that it gets crushed like a tin can seems like the right direction to me. As for whether the scp foundation has that kind of technology is another question
Either the material it is made of is too strong that even Jupiter's gravitational force cant affect it, or it does have the contermeasures you are mentioning. Otherwise, it would have already been crushed like a tin can.

I have an idea for neutralization. Two in fact, first rests on a possibility, Is the machine capable of concious perception? As in capable of interpreting images. If the answer to that question is yes... Why dont we send it a signal, disguised as one from its creators with the same encryption, and signal wavelength, Containing an image of SCP-096. We already know SCP-096 can reach just about anywhere in the universe at increasing speeds based on the distance, so it would be able to enter the great red spot and tear the machine to shreds. Another plausability, is to send SCP-096 itself to the ship, and put it near its camera. It would then beam back the image to its creators, the image of SCP-096's face. Then it would likely catapault itself to the triangulum galaxy and slaughter our attackers.

I have three. None of them involve 096, I didn't even think of that. My thought process was that if we can intercept and interpret the signals, we can make our own. There are two paths I saw from here
1. Tell it to not listen to any further signals and shut down all systems. Then we reverse engineer it.
2. Go full ape-man and DDoS it.
The third solution involves something like 10000 nuclear bombs. Except, they will be the power source this time, not the payload. The nukes would each power an X-ray laser, and if you're precise, one inch of the destroyer will be hit with about 8x10^18 joules. A large chunk of the destroyer would instantly turn to plasma. I don't care what it's made of. It would turn into plasma.

Dangerous but probably effective idea (for a situation when Legionnaire fails/isn't completed in time): Take a nuke, feed it to 914 at V. Fine, and launch whatever the result is at this thing. Would probably be powerful enough to wipe out stars, so should be enough to do the job, repercussions not withstanding.

One kinda did, in one incident involving the church of the broken god, the church accidentally created a mechanical monster that the foundation couldn’t defeat, then a woman (whom some believe is the the incarnation of the broken mechanical god) raised her hand to the sky and the destroyer suddenly appeared and fired at the monster destroying it, then the destroyer returned to Jupiter and the woman disappeared

This was the first acknowledgment I saw of the new classification system. i don’t know what other people think, but I am not a fan of it at all. The vagueness of the old system allowed the “story” of the SCP and its complications to unfold over the reading of it, instead of front-loading a clutter strange, coded jargon and series of odd symbols on each file that, even if understood, gave much of the discovery and mystery of an SCP away.
So we've tried EMPs and nukes, and our back up plan "Protocol Legionnaire" is...

I think it's because the previous EMP (Nukes were good enough since there were a lot) were too weak. They couldn't pass through the shield or didn't weaken it enough.
The project : Legionnaire, is about having such a power weapon EMP that it would disable the shield through it or just so strong so the whole SCP-2399 is shutdown for a brief moment
so the nukes can take it out with no problems.
Because SCP-2399's whole problem is it's shield.
But yet again, what they're looking for really, is to find a way to have an EMP weapon with such power.

The reason why this is the best SCP is because it could actually happen in real life one day. Very rare that an SCP has that sense of realism attached to it.

If you can see it through its shield the emp and heat effect of several nukes should penetrate. I think that is bit of a plot hole. If the radius of the shield isnt like + 10 km
Everyone always assumes this thing came in-system to wipe out Humanity (because anthropocentrism is a thing). But Humanity (especially in the 17th century) doesn't rate enough to send that much firepower (unless the irony is that was the *smallest* thing in the fleet/arsenal). But what does rate are entities like the Daevites, Yaldabaoth, and even Mekhane. It's even possible that someone(s) or something(s) became aware of Yaldabaoth's involvement with Life on Earth and said: "No."

I believe that there is no SCP-001, and the real SCP-001 is SCP-184.
The real SCP-184 is at the center of the universe, resulting in it’s expansion.
The reason we have an exact copy is because it accidentally created a duplicate of itself due it’s properties when affecting stuff from a distance.
Pocket dimensions and anomalies are the result of SCP-184, and there will be countless other anomalies on other planets.

An SK class scenario can simultanously also be an XK class scenario. SK just means that another species takes over the world and becomes the dominant species. It can do it by wiping out the former species first which also makes it an XK class scenario.

At least there is the good side: if we are to believe on the proposal for SCP-001 (the broken god) and the file for SCP-2399 itself (which contains a link to this proposal), the "target" is not humanity, It's the broken god itself. Or at least it is what they make us think. But a question: If this is real, why was SCP-001 destroyed in 1943, but SCP-2399 was only discovered in 1963?
