In spite of none of Goffard's remains being found in the puppets (as far as we know,) I believe there's still the most evidence for Timothee primarily being the one puppeting Pierre. I believe this based on Glouton (who was most recognizably Cynthia, containing her skin and hair,) painting 'OPEN INSIDE,' as if to entreat the audience, "Open these puppets, I am stuck inside." Pierre, presumably controlled by a ghostly Timothee, sees this message and immediately ends the show to punish the puppets. Timothee can't risk losing Cynthia by her plea for help reaching the audience.
So this guy not only killed his wife but put her spirit into divided puppets, his spirit into the strings, and left them to run their tragic issues and fester until they fully fell into hell itself. I'm curious about what Faustian deal was made... that's the core of the story.
Not... Quite. In the original story there's nothing about him abusing her, and she did died AFTER him, so it looks much more like his "curse" actually took form, maybe powered by his grief. She took all joy from his life, so the same was done to her on the afterlife, to the point all she could want was oblivion.

I have read enough horror stories involving puppets and didn't think it was scary. However, the twist in the ending made the whole experience quite uncomfortable. Especially since domestic abuse is a very heavy topic. Now this SCP tale makes me wonder: is the abusive behavior of the puppets Cynthia's legacy to let the world know about the torment she went through during her marriage? Or is it her ex-husband's sick way of taking revenge and humiliating her even after murdering her?
Actually, the original document never said Timothee abused Cynthia, just was supposedly unfaithful to her. This could have just been him getting revenge on her, but it ultimately it took everything out of him and he faded away. Perhaps she was even able to fight back and make him suffer too. Both suffering until they couldn't handle it anymore.
Maybe he killed his wife and cursed somehow sealed her organs into the puppets to perform. Ame is the victim, it is not empty, but her soul. The whole thing is a revenge.
It may just have been the curse. He may have killed her but it is also very possible that she really died naturally or just due to his curse bring accepted and or approved of by some other scp creature. He may not even have ever hurt her and truly have just felt extreme grief from the whole thing. The woman whom he loved going so far as to falsely accuse him of various things. If he truly had as goal in life to bring smiles and happiness to children. It is very possible he was never an overly cruel person. He may never even have known that the curse he made to her actually would doom her to a long time of suffering. Possibly he may not even have wanted that if he had known. Perhaps the curse basically trapped her in the abuse she had falsely accused him of. If he really cheated on her, there would be betrayal and wronging from both sides. ... I suppose part of the fun is the part one do not know. :3

Awesome, I was hoping they would cover the neutralized scps too. Just because they no longer pose an active presence in the main universe canon, does not mean they don't exist in others. Hence why I also hope they will cover SCP entries that existed prior to the purge. Like the original SCP-340, aka the tube of insanity chocolate candy. *M&Ms* Which honestly I could see rewritten as an anomalous gumball machine. That is not only indestructible, but also infinitely refilled through anomalous means. Each gumball consumed giving a specific psychoses based on the color, with more possibilities since gumballs come in more colors than m&ms usually have to not just be psychoeses, but other effects if you have multiple colors at once.

I think the most chilling moment in this for me is the line, "That's not what being dead feels like." Because it clarifies all the rest of it. He tries to put on cheerful puppet shows at first, to keep the kids laughing. But all of that rots inside of him. The video fails to mention that Pierre is beating Glouton as he yells at him. Glouton is pretending to be dead to try to passively escape. Maybe if she's quiet enough, maybe if she she *acts* dead enough, all of this will just stop. But she doesn't get to decide that. Decay is entirely out of the puppets' and puppet master's control. It takes them over a hundred years to finally just die. Some other interesting things: The puppet shows remain timely. The Battle of Tannenberg took place in 1914, but Goffard died in the late 1800s. The spirit or spirits must have had access to knowledge of what was happening in the outside world.
Even if it was classed as Keter, I felt sadness when they realized they were already dead, but still alive, they became brutal wanting to leave it, but after all that, they simply stood there and left themselves die in the slowest way, not being able to do much more other than sounds and slow, weak movements, to that final day, they were finally freed from the prison they were hold on.

The mention of the point of view of the researcher replacing an injured researcher was reference to a researcher named Lang who got her elbow snapped in one of the performances in the event log on the SCP wiki, very cool all around. A neutralized scp is rare, a keter one is particularly special.

I think you're right about her powering the puppets, but Goffard's wife died 4 months after Goffard's death. She was said to be 'from natural causes.' It's also notable that the skin in Glouton is unbroken. Ghost murder, maybe?

Honestly, considering the qualities of the usual anomalies and the rather dreaded things they do I find this SCP to be pretty strange tbh. There was literally no reason for the SCP foundation to let these plays carry out instead of just classing them as safe class and locking them into a hermetically sealed box to remove the Smell problem. Seems unnecessary and a waste of resources, avoids the non anomalous potential mental health damage and the councelling that comes with that, as well as freeing up a valuable researcher to research something with actual danger. While an excellent metaphor for domestic abuse, especially given what we learn after their final play. It just seems out of touch to me personally how the foundation would usually react to an anomaly.
They decay if not viewed during the show. The SCP preserve and maintain many things they shouldn't. I feel like this is one of those cases. Regardless of the employees discomfort or the suffering of the SCP itself they will preserve and observe wrapped in layers and layers of red tape that is simply read because. It would make to much since for them to lock this in a lock box and store it away next to SCP 668. I enjoyed your comment this is only my opinion of course
i will say i really like this scp because it honestly is hard to tell who was in the wrong. Yes, Goffard and Cynthia had issues that much was certain, but we don't really know which one was the bad guy of the situation that led to all of this, who caused the scp's effects, or if some other entity helped cause the effects or what happened to the both of them. Goffard could have been an unfaithful husband who abused her or just in general treated her terribly and cursed her with what life he had left in him to prolong her suffering after she actually fought back and got away from him, or Cynthia could have been a terrible wife who stole from him and played the victim in court to take whatever she could from him, only for him to curse her with his last breath to get revenge for what she did to him. Both are plausible and entirely possible, but we can't be sure entirely which one is right. Also one thing to note, i do know a lot of people think Goffard killed his wife, and that is entirely possible, but we can't know for sure since he disappeared 4 months before she died, so while he could have went and killed her it also could have very well have been the curse he uttered to make her pay in either revenge for wronging him or for fighting back against him and managed to take everything from him after wronging her in their marriage with unfaithfulness, abuse, or both. Its very very interesting, and is very up in the air for who is the bad guy out of the two of them, if they were the cause of this scp's effects directly anyway and not some other unknown entity.
The way it’s presented is much more SFW than I would imagine seeing this stuff actually happen on stage. Really would be stressful, probably needing to sit front row seats too to document accurately for your job.
Homages to be payed for the play and thanks to the owner Timothee of that stage art then to be burnt to purge it, a pestilent spirit entrapped that two people into the drama, dig under the building afterwards, also there might be simbols inside of the building(maybe an underground entrance also, to be checked), that place was cursed by some malevolence plays. i will say i really like this scp because it honestly is hard to tell who was in the wrong. Yes, Goffard and Cynthia had issues that much was certain, but we don't really know which one was the bad guy of the situation that led to all of this, who caused the scp's effects, or if some other entity helped cause the effects or what happened to the both of them. Goffard could have been an unfaithful husband who abused her or just in general treated her terribly and cursed her with what life he had left in him to prolong her suffering after she actually fought back and got away from him, or Cynthia could have been a terrible wife who stole from him and played the victim in court to take whatever she could from him, only for him to curse her with his last breath to get revenge for what she did to him. Both are plausible and entirely possible, but we can't be sure entirely which one is right. Also one thing to note, i do know a lot of people think Goffard killed his wife, and that is entirely possible, but we can't know for sure since he disappeared 4 months before she died, so while he could have went and killed her it also could have very well have been the curse he uttered to make her pay in either revenge for wronging him or for fighting back against him and managed to take everything from him after wronging her in their marriage with unfaithfulness, abuse, or both. Its very very interesting, and is very up in the air for who is the bad guy out of the two of them, if they were the cause of this scp's effects directly anyway and not some other unknown entity.

Homages to be payed for the play and thanks to the owner Timothee of that stage art then to be burnt to purge it, a pestilent spirit entrapped that two people into the drama, dig under the building afterwards, also there might be simbols inside of the building(maybe an underground entrance also, to be checked), that place was cursed by some malevolence plays. Scan the area underneath, have a scranton in case of anything or a big buffer for a purging song in case of strange happenings.

if there was actual organs inside of them and cynthia's face inside of pierre, then pierre talking about how this is their afterlife might actually be true, that this is just a purgatory for them to get revenge on each other on, until they stopped performances as the hatred died down and they passed on
