A whole year has gone by and I can barely grasp that reality. A year ago I almost died. It’s just the reality of things. But here I am. A year later with the most precious baby boy a girl could dream of. 🥹 celebrating the life he has lived over the past 365 days and the life he will keep living!! Y’all know I had to go all out on this party. Hehehe get ready! And stay tuned for a very raw convo I had with myself a few days before his party. 🙏🏼🥲

I’ve been thinking a lot about being sad that memories fade (or were barely there to begin with). I try to keep in mind that babies don’t remember anything but that doesn’t mean the laughs they have or the love they feel was any less valuable. Similarly, even if we forget the important moments, the experience was still valuable when it was happening and it still had a positive impact on us. ❤

Happy birthday Luca!!!! I was hospitalized the first week of my baby’s life. She went home and I didn’t. But I was getting the care I needed to get better and come home. It’s ok I promise. She’s 17 now. I hardly ever think about that week and haven’t for many many years. ❤

I'm glad Luca had a good birthday party! I love petting zoos so much. My favorite animal was the pony because horses and ponies are so cute. The party looked like so much fun!
My mom also almost died while having my brother. She got really sick and had him delivered via c-section 3 months early. I was also born via c-section since she had one before with my brother so she had to have one with me. Because of that, she really wasn't "there" with either of our births. In the end, it really doesn't matter all that much because your child won't remember it and you can still give them all the love in the world. 💖

I love his birthday party that was so adorable and I agree with you Morgan you had really good reasons to go all out 🎉 and it's so good so see God's faithfulness and goodness ❤ by the way I love Kentucky my husband and I went there to visit the Ark Encounter and on our way back to AL we noticed Mammoth Cave National Park and we stopped by to take a walk and it was absolutely beautiful! Kentucky is such a beautiful place we fell in love with all the scenery and pastures 😍 you are blessed to live there ❤️🙏🏼
