Just keepin’ it real and raw. Marriage is so incredibly beautiful and I wouldn’t want my life to look any differently from what it looks like right now, being married to Paul! I’m working on not taking my marriage for granted and being thankful for even that hard times in marriage. Hope you guys enjoy my little chat about how we met, our struggles, and what we’ve learned! 💜

Online dating can definitely work but it's important to regularly check your motives and your heart when going into it and if you notice you're going on there after having insecure thoughts, it might be a sign to take a break and come back after spending time with God and remembering who you are. It can get hard if you have negative experiences or some people seem to ghost you after they initially show interest.
But yeah I just try to remember the method isn't bad, it's just where your heart is at when you're motivated to use it

Marriage takes work. Even a Christ centered marriage isn't perfect. Both spouses have to work through life issues, wants and desires and put under self-centeredness. Great to see you and Paul work through the issues and tell about it! Can't wait to see your 50th anniversary vlog...by that time Paul won't have to roll up his pants 🤣
My husband and I met also online ! :) we dated for 8 years before getting married, and just got married last September. It is now 9 years total we have been together and 10 months of marriage! We have one daughter, and expecting another in October! I too feel the same way about the first few years being difficult although we were not married, we went through our most difficult years the first few years of us dating. I also agree and know the heart break in marriage you were talking about! It's like a distance you can't explain but it always leads you back to God too and reminds you who us Lord over both your lives. I'm thankful for those dark moments, because they build us individually and as a couple. when you come together again you're right, you forget all about it and that's beautiful! Many people give up when things get hard, but the love of God tells us that love conquers all and covers all sins. Amen? Grateful to have hearts a lil more like Jesus.♡
Living with other people is challenging! It takes a lot of kindness and patience. The more intimate the relationship (marriage) the more challenging. Thank you for sharing and for being real!

This was so encouraging… Being in the first year of marriage is definitely difficult, nothing like the honeymoon year that people talk about. I’m glad to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, if we only keep our heavenly father at the center, and take our fears and uncertainties to him. Congratulations on five years together!

Honestly that’s how my last long term relationship was, a lot of trials and then now we’re healthier as friends
First of all, CONGRATS ON 5 YEARS OF MARRIAGE! 😍🤩🥰 also, I have ADHD and I totally relate with Paul on wanting to fix things right there and then to not let things snowball, even when it’s not the right time to bring up certain things. But thank you for the advice of going to the Lord first! I’ve been married for two years. Year one was kind of hard, year two was very hard, and year 3 has been significantly easier. A lot of it has to do with God and me deciding to get treated for ADHD and anxiety😊
My husband and I met on Facebook and it’ll be 6 years married this November!! First year is the hardest but it’s such a beautiful thing that it gets better with time. Happy Anniversary to you both ☺️💗

I relate to this sooo much, my husband and I were both lukewarm believers we met online and we dated for close to 3 years were doing this all wrong even though I knew I was gonna marry him from the beginning and we both knew that we were long distance for a bit and then it was so important to meet his family before we married so it took a while since it was a transcontinental relationship, anyways got married and things were amazing for 3 years and then we had our extremely rocky year and the Lord delivered us through it and got us through it, and we are better for it and closer and stronger in our relationship with the Father and with each other and after that hard year, every year since has been easier and easier and also I find we are more candid in our communication and we don’t bottle things in as much, we pray more together and we read the word together and after that hard year God blessed us with a son and it’s just been amazing the transformation we have gone through together! Been 10 years together and been married this year in August will be 8 years 🥰

I had to pause the video when you start talking about the pain and heartbreak you feel in marriage and honestly I paused it to type this out when you said God put you through the worst stuff at the beginning of your marriage , my hubby and I will be two years in January 25 of this month and I absolutely agree with you!! hard relationships have a lot to do with sins that you haven’t removed.. celebrating things that aren’t biblical that’s one … and having expectations and things not going as planned is an example of God’s wrath for wanting to be praised for a day.. drinking and eating pork seems like another sin from what I see.. yelling/raising your tone is another one that leads to bigger sin which is cursing and extreme and anger/disrespect.. also lack of faith that God has our backs no matter what is another sin … if you lack that faith, you will be controlling and easily agitated /nervous energy which is what I see in him but also her. I can also say I’ve realized many times humor comes from malice In our hearts which we all have .. usually it’s belittling someone or mocking them or out of anger .. those things are not of God.. but we do it anyway for instant pleasure. Don’t know your whole life but just from this clip is what I see. We need to focus on our own flaws vs our partner’s though .. if we can help ourselves first, things fall into place.Yea we all have our sins and have to work extra hard to remove them daily and repent daily but it just depends how much we want to try.
