Great video shots! I love what's coming out of Saqqara. Amazing craftsmanship and art work throughout it all. The bat part was funny...but I wouldn't have even gone up. Lol Thanks for sharing!
Thankyou so much for an exceptional video tour and being a great tour guide. I really enjoyed your descriptions. There is such a difference between where you were there and where I live on the West Coast of Canada. About the only thing that I see in common between the two places is that when you went deep into the Bent Pyramid, there was a wooden support post that I believe was a cedar from Lebanon and, of course, we have the big cedars here as well, ha. That was the best tour yet.
Excellent vid, excellent narrative technique. I enjoyed. I will use just a few shots of your own in my vid upcoming about Saqqara Bird, f you don't mind. Will of course refer each shot to you.
The music was a bit loud at times, but I enjoyed the video very much nonetheless. I particularly liked the various bit about how long it took to get from one place to another, about the population of Giza, about what made Saqqara different from Giza, etc. It made me better understand how it would feel to be there. I look forward to seeing more videos from you. You are a good storyteller. ❤
very good video , thanks for your effort showing us inside the pyramids, they should find a way to push the bats out of those pyramids so i can visit it hehe
If you have a private driver I think you could do both pretty easily, but there are also even further pyramids you could explore beyond Saqqara which were awesome to explore
Im not gonna lie, the first thought when I saw the hiro glyphs of saqqara were that they look like they were added on, maybe thousands of years after the blocks were set and made.
This is such a great video, how did you find tour taxi driver? We are going in November and would love to do the same. Is it also possible to do this and the pyramids and sphinx of giza in one day?
Hi, very enjoyable video. You did miss out on the pyramid of Userkaf and the pyramid of Teti at Saqqara which are the 2 ruinous mounds but their insides are well preserved. On a similar note, there are even more pyramids north of Saqqara at Abusir, which sadly are also ruinous mounds. The red pyramid itself is arguably more interesting on the inside than the bent pyramid (and it has no bats!)
Thanks for watching and the tip! I use the Canon R6 for the cinema: amzn.to/3Kpo5uj And the DJI Pocket for the vlogging: amzn.to/3EYejOI Then for the third person view, I recently bought the Insta360 X3
@@brianferris1 They were more advanced thousands of years ago. And the animals are innocent, Egyptian gov. Stole millions from the people. Like the rest of Africa
The Egyptian s at those sites can be an amazing asset to your visit! They will escort you & guide you around the tombs, open locked tombs & explain the hieroglyphs & materials used! I love your video don't get me wrong but those Egyptian people at the sites offer much more historical information than your video did ... there's no facts ...
Please put calling pyramids burial tombs no mommy has ever been found in any pyramid anywhere in the world but alone Egypt so please put calling them burial tombs

Sorry you didn’t like it
Great video and insight, 🙂

Yeah those bats were terrifying!!
Do you need whole day in saqara? Or it is ok to come there after the giza pyramid trip.
If you have a private driver I think you could do both pretty easily, but there are also even further pyramids you could explore beyond Saqqara which were awesome to explore
Hallo, amazing video , what is the Name of the First Pyramide you went in . I Would Like to do it as well , it Looks interesting !!!
Im not gonna lie, the first thought when I saw the hiro glyphs of saqqara were that they look like they were added on, maybe thousands of years after the blocks were set and made.
Yeah they look so fresh in some places!

Thanks for the info! Next time I want to explore even deeper. I have a friend that is working on the Abusir complex
@@thetravelingzam just out of interest what is he working on there?
Awesome video. I was thinking about doing the same in 3 day. Can I do the same thing in one day? I have a cruise that starts at 6pm from Giza
I did all of these in one day. It helps if you have a private driver. You would need extra time if you plan to do the Giza complex as well
@The Traveling ZAM great! I plan on doing Giza and a museum on day 1. And all this in your video on day 2
@@brianferris1 sounds like a good plan! They opened the new museum right after I left so i didn’t get to see it! Enjoy!
@@thetravelingzam thanks. Any idea on how to get a private driver? I was thinking of trying to uber everything?
Lots of people will offer. Even if you grab an Uber to a Cara away pyramid, they will often try to bargain a price to drive you the rest of the day
What camera are you using to make your videos?

Thanks for the information, will be in Cairo in December. The information was really useful. Safe travels, look forward to more great content.
How much did the uber cost?
Ubers are fairly cheap. To get out there which was almost an hour or more was probably about $10-$15
8:45 there is a puppy and then you see the mother at 14:43. Egypt looks like they don’t care about animals. The camels 🐪 look thin too.
Are you seeing ghost?

I am confused about the dogs you are talking about.
The median wage now in Egypt in June 2023 is 125usd per month. I think we need to care about people more.

I had mixed feelings about Al of those def proclaimed tour guides….

They are still very interesting to see no matter what their purpose was. Marvelous feats of engineering.
small blocks aint original to the pyramid,
Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed it!
