Step 1 : equip repair tool
Step 2 : join mr streamers game or find gamers in the nightbird
Step 3: proceed to repair every bit of damage you take therefor helping the pilot to get better and get more kills
Step 4: Profit from the assist
Step 5: laugh at all the people calling you a low life
Step 6: Profit

Yeah the biggest counter to a heli is the other heli ego fighting u.
Don't forget the jet 😆😁 I've slapped down some when i got the chance or helped ally heli.
Them: Sees their bird's health bar is half mine.
Also them: "Yeah I can take this 1v1 no problem."
I played infantry and land vehicles in other BFs. Only started flying in 2042 with 4hrs total. Up to now, killing isn’t the problem, the hardest was actually staying alive lol. Anyway using obstacles and know where they are is the best advice!
How is the aim settings with controller? I’m on PS5
Ending helicopters with the rail gun tank is my new thing. I’ve even been getting jets with it, those guy get too confident and fly in perfectly straight lines.
I'm also enjoying both sides of that fight lol. In my nightbird I've been killed a couple of times by the railgun tank when I've not noticed them but once I know where they are I just fly above their gun where they can't shoot and just AGM them

You forgot the most important tip: how to spawn in the heli in the first place + the best counter in the game: magical 1-shot AA missiles that blast the pilot out of the cockpit.
In all seriousness though, awesome guide dude. I'm really gonna have to try rifle aim at some point.

@@SilkOCE Nah I've always aimed with keyboard, I tried rifle aim at some point but didn't bother sticking with it because I was too damn impatient, lol

I find the yaw with the mouse to slow when not ADS. When ads its oké.
With default settings it's quicker for me.

Can anyone tell how to slow the heli? I approach a target and completely overshoot it or else I have to slow down way earlier. Is there any trick to this like the pros?
How to fly Heli in 3 steps:
Step 1: Learn to dodge buildings
Step 2: Learn to dodge missiles
Step 3: Profit
Also don’t spawn as a heli on the russian side of conquest on the new map

I watched this video and your settings video and I can now fly a heli. I could never ever fly one before and thought it was impossible. Now I just need to get one in game, it's always taken. Also, how do you fly away so quickly when you're hacked or get a missile lock on you.

I got mine to tier 1 and rarely use it now. The input delay makes accurate fire almost impossible because it rolls around to much

Copy Bf4 settings for pitch, roll etc auto hover off and 100% sensitivity
I play on the X Series Console and I honestly don't see what the issue is with a lot of other console players saying this game is as bad as it is cause imo it's not that bad at all, it was I'll admit at launch but it's been cleaned up quite a bit since then. Now we need how to destroy the Heli
Bf4 with a soflm and javs or any other rocket that accepts a paint you can control the enemy vehicles, on 2042 it's not as affective because the lack of diversity in rockets. Hopefully they add javs so choppers that want to hide can't because the jav attack from above, when they do I'll be having alot more fun

Here's my question. As a long time Battlefield player and infantry player. Do you only like the game when you can go to 100 and 0? Battlefield 4 or BFBC2 no helicopter on a map could dominate because I had a SRAW or AT4. I often think that vehicle players only like Battlefield when they can blow out everybody. Is that the case? Just wondering.
I'm mostly a vehicle player and I find it pretty fun when people actually shoot smaws and iglas at my helicopter, keeps it exiting imo although I do love to farm infantry once in a while.
I try to ptfo and try to give real air support. Camping/farming is boring.
I've died on purpose to just "go down with the ship," keep firing until i go down or while retreating. Just to have variety in a gaming session, way more fun 😊
Tbh 2042 has Lis which is WAY stronger than sraw or at4. I'm not going 100-0 every game and take a lot of deaths to one shot weapons
@@SilkOCE I disagree. The AT4 and SRAW are far better than the TV guided Lis missiles. In Bad Company 2 our squad would sometimes frustrate attack helicopter pilots to leave the server. They were used to dominating and we would type... No Fly Zone... in the chat. You know how that went over. Lol.

In bf Portal they have aow with air and ground vehicles only. It pops up from time to time, last i checked this week it was available.
Now don’t cry when they introduce more things to combat choppers.

I’m a real plane pilot in life(not heli), but the control concept r the same, I’m so used to control roll and pitch with my stick, changing it into yaw is just counter intuitive to me.
It's all fun and games till the TreeV missiles come out
I wouldnt only say the free to play players... but even the changes from 3.2 brought me back and im sure many other players

I love this game, and I love the tips, but so far the biggest problem I have is that bf2042 shuts my whole pc down randomly. I can run any other game that is high demand graphically. My Temps are normal. I can't even run a full match without my whole pc shutting down lol. Great game though. Love that they keep effort into it
check your reliability history in windows ('Reliability Monitor'). It might tell you what's causing it.
I had to manually throttle my ram speed to stop the instability crashing

got to add a commemt here. its free to play week.... the numbers of players almost doubled. The amount of noobs that will get slaughtered by veteran foot troop or driver/pilots will be like playing easy AI.
Yeah this game was on the first day of season 3, so no new players. I can confirm that it is a lot more farmable right now though
You (or anyone) ever fly with a HOTAS/flight stick in 2042? I’ve been learning heli/jets this past week and definitely prefer the HOTAS for jets, but I feel like KB&M is probably objectively better for helis and worry I’m wasting my time trying to get better with the HOTAS…
Although I do have 600+ hours on a HOTAS across other games/sims and have been a UAS pilot for 6 years so I’m quite opposed to the idea of flying with a keyboard and mouse lol
I know of a few people who have been pretty successful with the stick, not as much the throttle. I think a good middle ground for Battlefield would be stick and keyboard
it rocks and rolls around way to much on controller...really hard to get kills with the miniguns
I use to get insane runs (for a causual) on bf3 on controller, but I cannot get use to the controls on BF2042. I need a bf3 controller settings!
Rifle aim is amazing. I have pitch forward and backwards as up and down on right analogue stick as well as rotate left and right on the same stick, roll left and right on the left stick. Throttle up as r2/right trigger and throttle down as l2/left trigger. Finally weapon zoom as l1/left button and weapon fire as r1/right button. Didn't take long to get used to and is so accurate both for killing infantry and light vehicles as well as fighting other aircraft with those mgs
For console I use bf4 settings and 100% sensitivity and auto hover off
On console is impossibile to fly like you do . In bf4 the littlebird was way better to fly . Here i feel like a drunk man during night
I was hoping that this update and it's note about fixing the flight assist disabled model would stop it from constantly rolling and fighting against your input. Alas I was wrong. I guess I should just drop all hope of them ever being able to fix it
Yeah my BF4 mates really struggle with that.
@@SilkOCE how can you manage to play with that. I’m trying to aim slightly down and with a slight bank and I’m constantly moving my arm to try and stay on centre while spamming A. It just feels so imprecise and awful when all of that could be avoided by just stopping it from rolling.
I always crash the ground or buildings, how can avoid this?
Practice practice practice. It’ll click eventually and you’ll build from there
Dont fly too close. the ground and building do have a magnetic property to them that will pull your aircraft closer to it, causing you to get stuck and blow up. It's the dumbest thing.

Literally play in the same OCE servers but as soon as I jump in a helicopter I get Rao'd and AA lights me up non stop 🙃🙃🙃

@@SilkOCE it seems your camera aim gets more precise when are aiming at infantry or a vehicle vs free flying, is this a setting or are you just skilled at micro adjustments?

The ole put a like on it and bail trick for me. I'd rather watch a dog vomiting than watch gameplay of this, even from someone I appreciate so much. It's a shame they haven't addressed the nausea inducing UI and colour palette.
2 well-positioned guys with FM33s will take these things out easily. Also, a good AA gunner in a while cat and even the LAV 30 mil can take them out.
Stinger users tend to be pretty garbage, so na, just shoot the pilot out

I like to fly the stealth and keep the air clear. Heavy machine gun +AA.
Only a good nightbird player up close can kill me. Otherwise i win easily against any jet, Hind, bird and stealth.
I play default. Tried rifle aim. So hard to change.
Easy, find a building to hide and thats all u need

talking about counters, the air can´t do shit most of the time kekw... stealth comes close gets rekt, jets?? gets rekt while trying to fly away...only the attack chopper has a decent change to kill the Nbird...talking about the other enemy Nbird, when his aim isn´t that good , he´s screwed anyways!!!
Helis are complete cancer in this game, AA needs a serious upgrade.

i wish they would reflect actual controls in the game..... "W" equals up on the collective..."S" equals down on the collective.... "A&D" is your tail rotor authority... let the mouse be your cyclic..... shift and ctrl should be your throttle
Helicopters are all broken with movement being way to quick, the need to be nerfed

Of course you got a 100 kill streak you pilots cried until they gave you flares that last two minutes and the map is set up so you always have somewhere to hide.

@@SilkOCE yes they did. They do that slow dribble. Just long enough for a pilot to get out of range of a stinger. That's the problem with these developers, they don't listen to the guy killing it with a pistol, they listen to the guy spamming the vehicles or the sniper laying on his belly far away from the objectives.
How to become unkillable? Short answer.
Buy a pc!
You just show how dice f with their costumers. The mini bird have no agility as you show in real life.
It's is pure destruction of game play. A reason do avoid the game.
