Back on PS4 I would play in the test range with the little bird and was very good at landing my shots. But in this game it feels like the vehicle is fighting me at every chance. (On PS5) I find it nearly impossible to keep on target
Xbox pilot with over a 20kd here: I just use default chopper sensitivity. The biggest thing when staying on target with a chopper is taking your thumb of the left stick when you want a steady gun run, and allowing yourself to drift/glide into it with your momentum. Now, this isn't a good idea if there are active tanks around, but if you're sneaking up on vehicles or infantry, it allows quick and steady kills. You can still aim with your right stick if needed, but generally, I try to make sure the angle of the strafe matches the speed/angle of the target. That way, I don't need to adjust at all. You're not using a mouse, so you can't just whip the nose around as easily, so use your chopper movement and momentum to line up the shot. When you actively have people shooting at you, try keeping a decent pace, strafe circling around your target with your nose facing them, which takes both sticks, and shoot when you line up. Again, right stick for fine aim, combined stick chopper movement for target swap and setting yourself into a good momentum. Less speed is more accuracy when it comes to shooting, but carries increased risk. Extra tip for stealth chopper specifically: You can kill tanks and wildcats in a single bomb run. 100 to 0, instantly. Get behind them and begin a soft momentum glide when almost in range. As soon as your reticle is over the rear of the vehicle, drop bombs while aiming your nose down. This will stack the bombs directly on top of each other for an extremely high damage precision instakill. Bomb drop is a mix of momentum and angle. Always bomb in 3rd person. Always. Inversely, if you want to spread your bombs out over a larger area, nose up as you drop to fling bombs out far from one another.
Now that Lis missiles are so stiff turning and slow the only way they're hitting is if you aren't moving fast enough and or your flying in a straight line. The hitbox increase has made the missiles hilariously easy to spray down as well with the obvious icon flying towards you. So in other words its on the pilots to make a mistake for Lis to be useful against the vehicles they're meant to counter.
Also you didn't mention those fire and forget them auto-lock-on rockets the jets get. Those buggers always seem to get me even when I flare good and early.
Yeah the radar missiles are super broken. There's really not much you can do aside from pre-flaring them. I think once you know a jet is going for you it's pretty easier though.
What annoys me is the face that missiles don’t divert away from the aircraft when flares are deployed, so they can still hit you. This was never an issue in BF4 with the flares.
Under-radar only blocks lock ons from vehicle launched missiles. It doesn’t stop missiles fired from someone using a handheld launcher. But sometimes it is buggy.
Nice Tips , i did my little bird T1 in the new season 4 map in 1 week, is my favourite map for shoppa gameplays , just perfect. I could did it before but never wanted play with shoppers until this last season. Other maps are just empty for shopper except 2 or 3 .Nice video By the way .
FYI, There’s one more thing that will triggered incoming missile immediately, jets rockets. So in my opinion, just pop flares when getting alert is safest.
Idk if its just my game, but the hit boxes for my helis and jets are wayy to big, it appears that i can dodge all aa missiles but they explode near me anyway and kill me 1 shot, makes this shit unplayable
don't be angry with me, butThis heli dont should exist in this game or for some maps, instead should be available two of the AH-64GX Apache for each sides, because good players like you turn this machine unbeatable ( you deserve all the credit for the skills of course) and with 128 players almost no one can play with, turning fly opportunity too rare...
I still think, even after the nerfs, that is not acceptable "Lissile" kills with one shot the Stealth helicopters and the Nightbird. I wouldn't mind if it would take away 90%~95% of your health, fine I can deal with that, but one shot?! Nah.

So i just practice in co-op mode flying around and trying to hit anything. I suck. But im trying. I use co-op mode bc i get more fly time and practice, but it doesnt seem to be advancing me more. I need less sensitive controlls.

I can understand that. Just bare in mind that whilst I usually show games where I do well in the helicopter, I also have plenty where I get totally shutdown by the enemy team, and in those cases I won't even try playing heli. So it's often about the other teams willingness to combat it.

Unfortunately no, your counter measures are the only defense against lock on. So if you get targeted twice in like 20 seconds and can’t get out of there you are pretty much screwed. As soon as I hear that lock on noise I honestly just dip, find another battle. The most important thing about flying a heli is being able to survive long enough to make an impact on the game. Your heli pilot can literally be the difference in whether or not you win the game. Air superiority is bad ass

For controller I would say to switch alternative on the bottom mapping it takes a while to get use too but you’ll def hit more shots

its very possible in the little bird to dodge AA missiles from other helicopters by tilting downwards (if youre facing each other)
