Thank you. I was looking for a solid combo for a 15 gallon that included khuli loaches. I really like the idea of classic tetras & rasboras, with the single honey gourami. I'm a huge Betta fan, but as you describe them, I'm looking forward to getting to know the gourami.
So glad I found this video. I’m new to this hobby and I set up a 14 gallon cube. I cycled the tank, planted some beginner plants, and have been very conservative with the stocking. So far I’ve only got 8 neon tetras and a handful of cherry shrimp. Think I’ll bump the tetras up to 10 and add a honey gourami. Can’t wait to see more action in my tank
My experience may be a one off…but I added neons to a honey gourami tank and they picked on his feelers. Had to bring them back to lfs. Keep an eye out.
@@sherryp8967one does get exceptions to every rule, so it can happen. Once had a single neon that chased all the other small fish around, I've found that usually happens in very small tanks.
I would wait a week or two. A newer tank needs to have a bit of time for the bacterial colonies to grow as the bioload grows. It goes without saying that Ammonia and Nitrite (NO2) should be zero before adding any fish at all.

Bettas are a hit and miss in community tanks. The one I have now is very chilled out but I had one in the past that would snack on an occasional CPD.
Thanks for mentioning me Dreoks
You're welcome.

Could i do 12-14 ember tetras instead of 10 neons?
Should be fine, just stock gradually if it is a new tank.
I have embers with a honey plus amano shrimp. Totally peaceful.
