If Ubisoft want to save themselves as a company, just remaster the first 4 AC titles. Basically just increase Polygons counts, increase Texture Resolution, increase Ambient Occlusion, increase Occlusion Culling, improve shaders, that's it. If possible, import Parkour Animation logic from AC Unity, so it can be played on the first 4 AC titles. Bundle them for one time Purchase at $200. Boom! Easy money. $200 for 4 different games with all DLC included will save the company. Unless, you've Thrown away the Blueprint source code of those early games
I take it that the Broken Tori Gate was going to be the ending scene of the game and the Buda Statue they used for the game is illegal to have in Media. People are not even allowed to take pictures of the Statue. 😆
I haven't been playing the AC series in a long while but I think they might be able to get away with it if they add some story element to indicate that the Animus in AC: Shadows might have been tampered. Or do something like the AC III: The Tyranny of King Washington.
If only Ubisoft made the game about the shinobi or their clans, and their battles that they'd been included in, along with respecting the source materials, I'm pretty sure they'd have 65% of the Japanese audience hooked. Why they decided to double down really just confuses me at this point.
So in other words Ubisoft is telling us hey we lied about all that Japanese backlash and now we're too afraid to go onto a public forum where people could hear the actual Japanese people's outrage
While we know that Ubisoft is too egotistical to do so, they really should just cancel the release of the actual game by this point, because there's absolutely no way they're going to be able to salvage it after all the missteps they have taken.
I want to be in a timeline where they just say "We acknowledge that there's not that much information about Yasuke but we still proceeded to portray him as a samurai. (Proceeds to tell/show a narration/backstory of how Yasuke became a samurai, and how Yasuke meet Nobue) The backstory will answer why they chose Yasuke and why the assassin is now a girl.
Their mistake was being boneheaded and kept saying that they will be historical accurate during beginning of the promotions. If they had just stated outright that they are doing whatever they want, they could've avoided some of the backlash. Also, they used Oda family's emblem without permission. You are not supposed to feature that in-game without asking for the clan's permission first.
With the pressure from investors, Shadows is what Ubisoft is completely betting on. The last 3 games that they predicted as "major releases" lost so much money. They NEED this to be a success. Who knows what happens when it isn't.
Good, I hope they fall even lower so they can be completely restructured and we can get actual decent games, like the latest Prince of Persia, good Ghost Recon games and more Rayman
Something says to me that Japanese Gov did file a formal complaint to Ubisoft and now they cant show themselves because the complaint is either telling them to correct the plot or dont show up with their shiet

I want to 100% say that the one-legged torii was probably going to be in the game, but after the backlash they probably had to change it.
Ubisoft should have offered a sincere explanation at the Tokyo Game Show.
If they had no guilty facts.
Play Ghost of Yotei instead, looks amazing.
I thought your title was going to say "Canceled all Pre-Orders" because my phone cut off after Pre
the disrespect with the broken Tori gate is a new low. That's such a dark symbol of japanese history
1:20 imagine if Germany making a historical game about a Jewish hero, then release a Funko Pop of the character posing in the concentration camp
LMFAO
based
I haven't been playing the AC series in a long while but I think they might be able to get away with it if they add some story element to indicate that the Animus in AC: Shadows might have been tampered.
Or do something like the AC III: The Tyranny of King Washington.
Hot take: they remove the modern day plot entirely, since _AC: Shadows_ is a mid, normie game for mid, normie people.
"various circumstances" = even we aren't stupid enough to know we would be wasting our time since everyone understandably hates us.
If only Ubisoft made the game about the shinobi or their clans, and their battles that they'd been included in, along with respecting the source materials, I'm pretty sure they'd have 65% of the Japanese audience hooked. Why they decided to double down really just confuses me at this point.
They better just scrap the game entirely, it’s gonna fail hard lol
The reference to the bombing of Nagasaki is absolutely on purpose and meant as a threat.
Shows that respecting the community is far more important than trying to virtue signal.
Guys….Ghost of Tsushima still
exist. We can just go play that.
Ubisoft knows it's screwed, so it resorted to it's only option left (aside from doing the correct thing and canceling the game entirely)...hiding.
Ubisoft needs to be more comfortable with people not buying their games.
One day i wanna see a notification pop up with a taiga thumbnail from you saying "Ubisoft bankrupt" 🙏🙏🙏
(Proceeds to tell/show a narration/backstory of how Yasuke became a samurai, and how Yasuke meet Nobue)
The backstory will answer why they chose Yasuke and why the assassin is now a girl.
I see this as an absolute win. They brought all of this upon themselves. Let their sales and stock tank.
An entire company crippled because they decided to push a DEI protagonist. Let's hope this is a wake up call for the industry.
With the pressure from investors, Shadows is what Ubisoft is completely betting on. The last 3 games that they predicted as "major releases" lost so much money. They NEED this to be a success. Who knows what happens when it isn't.
Simple, the company will be forced to be sold or their IPs sold to be up for grabs
Their going to be quiet until launch thinking that we'll forget and that it's just a faze. It's not and we won't.
Ghost of Yōhei about to destroy Ubisoft and AC Shadows
If they do release the game late or at all, it wont matter, were getting Ghost of Yotei next year.
they in panic cause they know ppl were going to ask if they'd finally backtrack and remove all the inaccuracies. SO, they in panic mode
Ubisoft, "you need to get comfortable with not owning your games" yeah aight bet i got you
I'd love to play if they removed Yasuke.
Good, I hope they fall even lower so they can be completely restructured and we can get actual decent games, like the latest Prince of Persia, good Ghost Recon games and more Rayman
Ah UbiSoft, you reap what you sow. Again, I don’t pray for my enemies to fail, they do it themselves damn selves.
Something says to me that Japanese Gov did file a formal complaint to Ubisoft and now they cant show themselves because the complaint is either telling them to correct the plot or dont show up with their shiet
They get no sympathy from me after stealing my legally bought DLCs one day, i only get Ubi games if it's a giveaway, not a single dollar to that company
Cream will always rise to the top. They used to have quality cream at one point, but now, understandably, no one wants Ubisoft's Cream.
Cream rises to the top, but, so do dead fish.
And now sucker punch just announced ghost of yotei so even if shadows comes out earlier it’s still the final nail in the coffin for it if you ask me especially after all ubislops done
