Which is crazy since as far as I am aware, you can't paywall any copyrighted assets.
Are they actually reselling anything copyrighted tho? Sure, ER itself is, but they can probably just add their own stuff and call on the in-game library for the base game assets they need, but I haven't analyzed their files, I can't say.

You simply can't paywall copyrighted assets anywhere.
I remember read that Nintendo take down an emulator app because they paywalled a copyrighted assets (which is their code).
Just because you add more stuff, GoE still fundamentally use copyright assets as the base unless GoE recreated every new asset from scratch, which is unlikely and can also become another legal problem.
I never see or hear that GoE have any license from Fromsoft themself so yeah, if they come to GoE, he is cooked.
This is why most mod like Convergence, they put it for free and all income are through donation.
This is how they dodge all legal consequences and less likely to get shot by a lawsuit because the mods are technically unprofitable and free for public.

I don't understand how Garden of Eyes hasn't been squashed by Fromsoft/whoever else yet. You can't sell mods for a game you don't own. All mods are "if you want to support me you can donate, if you don't you can still use it".
There's no way GoE has permission to do this and sell it. I guess they either don't know or don't care enough about it.

As someone who was browsing Nexus randomly and found a Skyrim mod that added a whole region of Tamriel that only had 100 endorsements at the time, I concur. Summerset Isle btw, if anyone's curious. Adds the homeland of high elves complete with dungeons, towns, voiced NPCs, treasures, & 180 quests. Easily as large as TES games usually are vanilla. It's got 1700 endorsements now, still tiny compared to the sheer scale of it. Not that I've played it yet.
A reminder that Garden of Eyes is a mod thief, and that paying to use mods is an immoral practice that abuses copyright. It is not GoE's intellectual property to monetize, and puts other mods in jeopardy of being taken down as a result of his greed.
GoE has tried to hide this by changing their channel name, as they were formerly known first as Sanadsk, and later Omegafantasy, respectively. They have stolen content and bullied people off various platforms and underpaid people to make mods for him, and gaslit people when accused of wrongdoing.
As cool as GoE's stuff looks, it is not worth supporting and therefore condoning bad their behaviour, especially when it's still very much easily discoverable.

Garden of Eyes is an incredibly unethical project that pays a team to steal content from other modders & FromSoft themselves and then redistributes / paywalls it on Patreon btw, wouldn't support the mod or the author in any capacity.

So disappointed that Asmon would react to this Elden Ring mod of all things. The one with the most controversy, stolen assets from FS games and other ER modders, pay wall instead of being free and the mod owner just straight up being a dickhead.

This isnt a mod , this is the manifestation of gold diggers who dont want to create an alpha release like convergence :/ this fight is good but go check convergence , they take a little more time to create things but they work is MUCH better ! And to be honest this is one of the rare good work in they mod , they don't reuse other moveset of bosses ect ...well often .

No, you dont. This have the 1:1 issues of Pre-nerf Radahn, the only good thing about this fight is the custcene and the music. Visual clutter , very easy to recognice Sekiro copypasted moveset, which results on an overtuned one which makes the posture break basically impossible, because surprise surprise, *despite what people says, Elden Ring bosses acts like Elden Ring bosses, not Sekiros*

I don't think Asmon knows or cares, but GoE is paywalled when it shouldn't be. The mod author went by another name, Sanadsk. He's had a controversial history for stealing and plagiarizing from other mod authors and scamming his fans. He even sponsored a rune selling site on one his videos recently, that alone should tell you a lot about this person. His Garden of Eyes overhaul mod paywalled through his patreon. Since he's using copyrighted assets (including from other FromSoftware games like Bloodborne, Sekiro, Dark Souls) which is considered illegal. To how he keeps getting away with this is beyond my comprehension, maybe Bamco or FromSoftware don't know or don't care. Point is, Asmon played Archthrone's demo and that mod was FREE and will remain that way once its finished. Convergence is FREE and still getting updated with awesome boss designs. Reforged is also FREE. Sanadsk will NEVER make Garden of Eyes free, no matter what he promises. Early access doesn't equal to having a paywall. He could easily suggest to donate like most mod authors would do and that would've been fine. Honestly, if he just took down the paywall and stop trying to scam his fans, Garden of Eyes would be a decent overhaul mod to play, since he ported over assets from other games, including bosses. I do like some of his weapon changes, but I heard there are balancing issues with his mods. I'll admit one thing is that at least he puts in effort to make something cool like what's showcased in this video. That is the only positive thing I can say about Garden of Eyes.

if that really bothers you, send them a link to this vid to fromsoft or whoever you want to, in twitter, etc etc you're in your right to do so (it's fine for me, don't feel bad)

Before the dlc came out he modded in some weapons that were part of the dlc. And put it behind a paywall. He reuses assets and puts it behind a paywall. You dont see the people behind convergence or ERR charging people for mods do you?

Unpopular opinion, but man, do I hate these mods. Their just too gawdy, the over the top anime moves give me a headache and often times just don't work mechanically.
I mean, it's fine, its a mod, no one is forcing me to play it, but the more popular these become, the more Fromsoft will start copying them. And in the ER dlc I definitely felt like Fromsoft was trying to replicate these types of mods. It wasn't bad, I can handle a few obnoxious anime weapons and one screen blinding boss, but I just fear that it's going to eventually become the norm.

modders are like a second half of the industry that goes entirely underappreciated. Modders have given Skyrim, Cyberpunk, Stalker, and so many other games entirely new life. They created DOTA / League, Counter-strike, and so many others. Games really should try to accommodate them more. Say what you will about Bethesda, I will always respect them for putting out mod tools

Theoretically every soulsborne game could get Sekiro Deflection. Will probably only see it in Elden Ring, but theoretically modders could make every soulsborne function like Sekiro combat even Demons Souls and Bloodborne.

I know there was a lot of work put into this , but to me it kinda looks tasteless for a boss to be such an amalgamation of different weapons/attacks/move sets (most of which belong to other bosses from the game). Kinda lacks style . I'm curious if so many people would have liked it if it was made by a professional studio 🤔
fromsoft should sign a cooperaon deal and allow this as a mod in the literal game just add in the menu mods or alternate realm whatever some cool name so people can play this make it feel like a bonus dld or whatever this is whatt is missing in their games anyways now people made it for them and its good imagine the cooperation and making this better for a fun bonus dlc.

I think its funny actually that mods for games like this is normally just a reskin of a sword or something, so when there actually is a new boss with new moves a basic cutscene and stuff, people lose their mind 🤣 I mean its good work and all, i just find it odd that people are so surprised
I liked the second stage fight, but first one seems like it was suffering a bit from original boss problem - too many flashy moves. I think a little bit simpler move set would have worked better.

This is what the DLC should have been. Not Radahn, but Malenia, who was always loyal to Miquella. The next God, the next Empyrean. Redeemed and here for her brother.
The voicelines are also from content that was never added, where Miquella would be part of the Malenia fight.
If they stopped making content and just made the game multiplayer enabled with mods, I’d play the shit out of these crazy mods with my friends.
The Assassin Game Looked Like Something I could TRY. I am all about Shooting, The VR makes it look real 🏀but its just more about the Mechanics of The Game IG

I always wanted for From Soft games to have permanent destruction from fight and blood stains that stay in the bosse arena even after defeating them, so the more bloody and chaos there is . Imagine if even the blalde swing at 6:58 leave a trench in the floor that add up on every try you made on the boss during this playthrough burned zone , coroded one if boss do poison , shining aura if magic hit , or things like that, i rather have CPU/GPU capability used for those than juste adding ultra high resolution or " reality look" tree or grass whatever make the game more pleasing to look at but not as impactful of those idea i think

The only thing bro did is make a custom theme (tbh this is the only good part), edited the model with fromesoft assets, added moves from other souls games and people really glaze him for this?
