Pretty much every island they've been to the straw hat pirates changed the status quo, using violence in one way or another.
As much as I think this is a really good/funny reply, one of the main things that kind of bugs me is equating the Strawhats to terrorists.
While yes they change the status quo with violence, most definitions of terrorism involve it being done for political reasons and include the intent of causing fear/terror. Luffy and the crew do things because it is the right thing to do (like saving Hachi was not a political decision, it was to save somebody’s life) and they almost never intend their actions to cause fear. If somebody happens to be afraid, it’s usually a bad guy who is afraid of losing, but not because they did anything particularly horrific to cause terror.
Labeling them as terrorists is quite literally a world government level move. The government sees their actions as politically motivated against their policies, but in reality their actions aren’t intended to be against anybody. They try to do the right thing, and because the world government is the bad guy so often, it happens to be against something they support like 90% of the time. Of course it feels like terrorism when your government is responsible for most of the things they try to fix, but Luffy is against injustice, not “everybody involved with the world government.”
Generally for the better... but the World Government isn't interested in 'better', they're interested in 'controlled'.

By the world view as a regular citizen in the one piece world it is easy to see the argument that Luffy would be considered a terrorist and could be a dangerous person to interact with. Terrorism has the purpose of causing terror, while Luffy doesn’t. While he may inspire revolution, that is not his aim aside from doing good. Your argument implies most revolutions are terrorism, but that isn’t the case because intent matters and on top of that Luffy isn’t intentionally leading a revolution (he only wants to become King of the Pirates and be good along the way).
Just like real life, it is very easy to see a scary pirate and mark them as “terrorists” because you don’t understand what they’re doing or why, but throwing the label around because a government has convinced you that any opposition to their cause is scary or bad is the exact point. Not all change is terrorism, and the average citizen being scared by what they are *told* is being done to them (as opposed to what is actually happening) strikes the deeper point of propaganda, misinformation, and ignorance created by prejudice

I brought up the topic of revolution because most revolutions aren't made with the intent to cause terror but to make a change. Just because actions are just doesn't mean it wouldn't be considered an act of terrorism.
Take FF7 for instance. Avalanche is fighting for the good of the people with just intent, but their actions cause real harm and damage. Luffy and Crew are the same with their constant fighting against the world government. They damage government property which comes at the cost of the tax payers, They harm government officials during their scuffle's ( which I mean is the point of the anime and has no avoidance by the conflict of nature), and he has multiple ties to the main ( most wanted) revolutionary army lol ( father, sworn brother, and crew mate was trained by one of their officers ( Sanji)).
I understand not wanting to think of them as a terrorist group, but if we were to relate them to real world ideology they would fall under such a label. This is a fantasy world where the Navy is the most important military branch lol. No disrespect to any navy officials, but when people normally think Navy they either think Village People or a fat person waiting around doing nothing.

One point i would like to make is that these people seem to be more ethical after their encounterings with Luffy. Nevertheless, Luffy is not a hero, he is a pirates, and as he states, he's free to do whatever he wants disregarding the public opinion.
To say nothing of Luffy's father, Dragon. I doubt even Garp would be able to protect Luffy from that info if it got out, even ignoring his current WG bounty.

She was 13 when she moved to Germany. I'm a German from Russia who moved at the age of two. I think being in a similar migration position I can clarify a lot, which will probably make you like Lera Above more. You won't find this on Wikipedia, I just looked it up and couldn't find much documentation, so either give me the benefit of the doubt or wish me something bad and continue reading the comment section.
- There were over the course of history plenty of migration waves from Russia to Germany. The differences of each relocation may wary, but overall it's the mindset, that Russia is not going to improve, the ideal of Europe to escape to. Many parents also care about their children and understand how Russia works, so there's also this. I'm grateful to my parents that I live in Germany now, because I would be threatened by draftings, if I still were in Russia.
- The age 13 roughly is the equivalent to grade 7 in Germany (Children enter schools at 6 usually). After some years the school program will teach about the historic horrors done in the "Third Reich", and this is a topic where I had the impressions even the kids in back turned off all conversations and were respectively silent.
- Germans are mostly influenced by Russia-critical media and environments. Even during the Merkel ära, the media and conversations in the daily life are Russia-sceptical and that it's a dictatorship was no question.
From what I can judge, I think Lera's entire background is surrounded by being critical of Russia, from what likely her parents would have taught her, just like what mine did, and what the environment in Germany would have taught her.

@@DarthZ01haven't seen the LA since I don't have a Netflix account, but heard everyone pretty much gives it a thumbs up which feels like it was to be expected given Oda was highly overseeing the work unlike what happened with Cowboy Bebop lol.
The only concerns I had was how young / inexperienced the actors ( mainly for Luffy) came across in the trailers and if the CG would ruin some of the emersion.

One piece isn't even against the idea of flipping the script either, Fishmen, which were arguably the most oppressed race in the One piece world, had an entire arc where one of them enslaves the humans of Cocoyasi Village masked as justice. Doflamingo and his brother were part of the MOST oppressive race in One piece and Doflamingo ended up being an outstanding villian while Rosinate ended up being a fan favorite and a huge character in the series towards freedom. So it's completely believable that Robin would be Russian, not that it really should be a major point of contention to begin with, focus on the individuals more on their race.
