Telugu people are everywhere around the globe...and comes together for each other
I am Tamilnadu. I admire the unity among Telugu speakers. The same can be said about Malayalees as well. But people in Tamilnadu lack that unity for some reason.

I have experienced more subtle forms of racism similar to yours, and I have had enough of people saying "just ignore them" or "don't let it get to you". I think its only right that people stop ignoring such instances of racial rants and start talking about racism seriously, including North to South racism. I live in a country with 2 other ethnic groups (Malay and Chinese ) but majority of the racial insults I have received throughout my life, were from other Indians! (ie. North Indians) Sigh....

This was an interesting topic. I’m black British of Ghanaian descent and I am dark skinned. Majority of Ghanaians are dark skinned but not all. I have not experienced racism, however I can understand that dark skinned people in both black and Asian communities have always been discriminated because being dark is considered to be not be beautiful and it doesn’t meet the white beauty standards. Just ONE last thing to say is to help another person if you see the person getting bullied as it did happen today,as I had fallen off the chair as someone had pushed it and everyone was glaring at my face and was laughing,luckily the teacher had realised what had happened and moved me ,and because of that incident I went straight away to the head of block as no one had even had the fuc**** courage to give me their hand to get up.Please don't laugh and help the person or may the situation happen to you as karma comes slowly all the time.

They all started to ask me weird questions.... They asked me if I had a home in India they asked me if I ever went to school!!! And no one wanted to be my friend because of my skin color and because of the fact that I was from India! I started Hating my skin color and I always thought I was ugly..... they also bullied me for two years.... I was depressed!! I hated school! And hated my parents for moving!! Because in India I had a big group of friends! And I missed them... now I moved to another city and everything is better now :) sometimes I remember about my past and I start crying(but now I surround myself with positivity and good people and I finally learned to except myself) and that’s my story..
India has 4 distinct racial groups the Indo-Aryans, the Mongoloid/Turanian, the Dravidans and the Indo-Australoids or the native Indians. Just like Europe has the Germanic, the Slavic, the Latin, the Turkic, and etc. So these races have clashed for centuries, the British fought the French in India just like a Hindi person is antagonistic towards a Tamil person in London. Racism is an excuse for justification of the hatred not a cause for hatred. As long as there is hatred for whatever reason there will be racism. We just have to ignore and live with it.

Now most of the qualities you will find in South Indian race. But most north indian states lack a strong economy. They have no coast and will be a landlocked nation. So the north is very dependant on other parts. They might not sustain as a nation on their own

North slur/joke at anybody darker than them, and rest in mainland India are racist towards North East. Majority of Indians are more racist towards Africans who come to India for some avenues. And the sad thing is we bleach ourselves to look fairer so most us dont want to admit we are fairly racist and feel dejected if we are darker !! It comes from the upbringing, although its a learning curve for some to really come out of the idea of racism or colorism but somewhere it tags along, and thats when it triggers..

I am so sorry dear to hear this that y ou and your family been through this in your capital New Delhi. There are few people who really need to be removed from this world. It's just not in north india, it's all over world. I have faced racism in south india too but i do not generalize it coz there had been many people who were amazing to me.
