I'm taking it back to basics with this furniture makeover for beginners. I'm using really basics techniques and trouble shooting some common issues beginners can run into while using chalk paint.

Just finished my first project and the results are pretty incredible but as I always tell my students the journey is where you learn so any "mistakes" made is an opportunity to learn and perhaps go in another direction. if need be, needless to say I learned A LOT in my first furniture makeover! haha! Love your work Christina!! We used to go to farm auctions and find some beautiful antique wood furniture hiding in a barn and my husband and I would take them home, strip them and refinish them. I can appreciate your dedication to this craft. You have a few more power tools now but still takes a special skill and envision to bring an old piece to life. Love this piece so much. I love the detailed instructions and the faux stains you use. I tried this out on a wood vase and loved the effect. I had originally used stain and it became blotchy and didn’t look great. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

I love that little cut in brush, I have arthritis and have trouble holding on the entire time and that looks comfy enough till I might could! I am such a newby and wanna be now that our 5 kids are older , it is something I have always wanted to try ! Love how easy you make it look with so many details!

All the brushes look like they would be very helpful in furniture painting! I really like the 2.5 angle because of the surface area it can cover in one sweep and the trim brush! ❤️❤️❤️

Nice! I love Zibra brushes. I used them this summer to paint my kitchen cabinets and drawers. I virtually got a glassy finish! This turned out pretty, Christina. I love the beachy colors. Very soft and chill!

I would love to give the rounded Zibra brush a try. We have several furniture pieces in our home we would like to refinish that has a lot of trim and detailing. The rounded Zibra brush looks like it would do an incredible job with ease on all that detailing. My life would be made SOOOO much easier!

Love the chiseled brush
I've recently learned about Zibra paintbrushes and I'm excited to try them out. I would be happy with any of them but the palm pro looks like a win to me with hard to reach areas. I love the way you explain things and your down to earth personality. So happy I found you on Instagram and You Tube!

Love this video. I’ve watched it 3 times and tried to pick up all the tips. I absolutely love the chalk wash for the top. I’m starting our kitchen table and a tv console I purchased and I honestly only thought there was either paint or stain. I’m going to try this technique for the table instead. I’ve tried brushes that paint stores have and they just don’t work great. Your work is incredible!! It looks so smooth.. love it!

Love the transformation from dark to bright and cheery! I love going back to basics. Even in my corp jobs, I always remind my staff, don't let the if, and's and buts cloud your judgement. Because of your recommendation on the Zibra brushes, I bought a whole set with the bag. I love them! Worth every penny. And I found out they sell them at my local Home Depot, so if I ever need anymore, they are right down the street.

I just bought some adorable side tables (that really need a lot of love, tbh) and I can't wait to paint them. That round brush in the paintbrush kit would probably be super helpful because there are a lot of curved surfaces and details on the legs of my pieces.

I bought zebra brushes on your recommendation and absolutely love them. I like the palm brush as it is so comfortable to paint with and brushes smoothly. I’ve been painting doll beds and the square brush has been a lifesaver. They are great for applying top coats also. Absolutely recommend!
