I live in an apartment and a year or so ago found a complete very ornate 4 poster bed in pieces... it is in my closet. Wanted to make it into a seat. Eventually I will but now watching all these very creative chalk paint videos, glad I haven't done it yet. LOTS of ideas now when I get to do it.
Visiting Germany as a child we discovered how people discard their furniture on the side of the road and if no-one took it after a week then the owners had to pay for a removal van. "Side of the road" is in Germany 😂😜
Just the fact that the Salvation Army and Good Will wouldn’t even take that dresser, and how you made it so beautiful, it just goes to show that a little bit of love goes a long, long way. I was amazed that you stripped the veneer and found that planked wood. So many products I want to try! I love Cinderella Stories!
I’m a newbie at this & have only tackled two small trays & now a table. I watch & rewatch your videos for your clever tricks & instructions. Thank you for a new hobby --from this retired teacher at 70!
The seaglass dresser is so amazing to me- I thought after seeing it, “How could anyone not want that!” You made that so incredible! I am so pumped to be turning around our first dinning room table in our new home and am loving learning about all these products, techniques, and possibilities! Oh please pick us 😁❤️❤️❤️
out of the 10 work that you showed here all of them were amazing . I particularly liked the Olive green side table that you put up in your living area . its got amazing contrast with an organic TOP . I also liked the tiny table for your child at kindergarten mainly because of its back story . the lady that donated it also used it in her childhood and now being passed on to you , it still serves your child . that is definitely a legacy table for me :)
Omg the matte black desk with gold detailing 😍 and love how the “fall” green nightstand turned out; good call on leaving the top natural to show the wood detailing 👏🏼
I absolutely love the artwork and the finishes that you do I believe in Saving everything that you possibly can from our landfills so I think that you do a beautiful job I have not learned how to use these types of paints yet but is very interested in doing so
Definitely the piano! That would be very intimidating! And I learned some new good tips, like the black wax over black paint! You and Katie are both the best at getting people to start refinishing furniture! You keep it simple and honest. Thanks for all the inspiration this year!
I’m so ready to see these newly starting to refinish and I’m loving it thanks for all your advice hopefully doing this helps me to eventually being able to work from home and be with my son quit this 60 hour a week job your work is amazing you have already taught me so much 🙂
I'm 23 years old and never commented this in my life on any channel - I highyl enjoy watching your videos, you are smart and talented and your videos are a delight. Hope you're having a good day❤️
Trash to treasures are my absolute favorite kind of project! Hard to pick a fave from the video, but I think it’d have to be the repurposing the black piano! 🙌🏻👏👏
All of the makeovers were beautiful, but the last one, the dresser that no one wanted was stunning. Definitely a trash to treasure true work of art. I took the IOA course & throughly enjoyed it. Thank You.
Oh my, you are a magician with a sander and paint. I have a kitchen table, china cabinet and a early 1900's Victrola cabinet I want to redo, and you have done all the hard work of finding all the right tools and products. I have to go with the mismatched hutch, because that is the type of issue I have been sweating over for several years. Thank you so much.
Thank you. I’m 65 a survivor of a triple bypass. And all I wanna do is drink coffee and paint furniture. 😂😂. I’ve learned from you and I have used your color combinations. Be safe.
I loved all the makeovers but the sea glass dresser at the end is my favorite! I'm definitely not getting rid of furniture any more. Excited to try these techniques myself :)
The piano was brilliant. I have an old family piano stuck in the garage because of the finish. I never thought about painting it until I saw this video! Now I have a plan!
My favorite is #4 the nightstand. It was my 1st video I watched of yours and it gave me the confidence to start transforming my old but beloved furniture pieces. I took on my mother in laws coffee table that was their engagement present & it came out great. We can love it for another 60 years.
I liked all the makeovers but the sea grass dresser and the little desk were my stand out favorites. The blue tones reminded me of the second hand bedroom furniture my brother and I had as kids in the 1960’s & 70’s. That sort of blue range from robin’s egg blue to more of a light aquamarine we’re all the rage in the 1960’s as evidenced by my grandmothers’ and aunts’ dishes, Pyrex mixing bowls & linens from the era. I love your work and I’ve been binge watching your channel while nursing a case of COVID 😷. One note, I’d love to see you tackle *adding* a veneer to a project sometime. My father taught me woodworking bc I was a daddy’s girl watching him repair, finish or build things for others who were in need. Applying new veneer isn’t very difficult or expensive but can really up the quality of the finished product in the times you want to. I’m doing a bunch of furniture makeovers for my oldest daughter who has her 1st real apartment after graduating college. We’ve got a good mix of new, consignment shop, and Goodwill finds. Her younger sister worked at Goodwill over the summer so we really were spoiled with getting the alert when nice wood furniture came on the floor 😉 I’m replacing the veneer on a pair of end tables with Queen Anne legs & hardware that we had in the attic and giving them a more modern style for her, including a muted ivory stain finish on the top, espresso stain on the body/legs and new hardware. Anyway I look forward to watching more in your huge library of videos!😊
I LOVED all of your pieces in the video, but i especially LOVED the piece you did that the thrift stores wouldn't even take!! ❤ Thanks for sharing your expertise!😊
LOVE THEM ALL!!! FAVORITE IS THE SEA GLASS DRESSER!!! LOVE THAT NO ONE WANTED IT!!! AND THE COLOR=PEREFECTION!!! I am the least crafty human on the planet..But, I am going to give this chalk painting furniture a shot! Thanks for Sharing!!!
Your work is fabulous! You make it look so easy! I especially liked the seaglass dresser that you saved from the landfill! Didn't know that any furniture could be so bad that a thrift store would refuse it! I loved it!!
I think you were one of the first people I watched re-do furniture! I love all of these pieces, but the dresser at the end was my favorite. Looked like a lot of work taking off that veneer!! I want to do some pieces in my house. My parents both passed in March and I have some of their old furniture that I’d like to try to make over. Haven’t done any of this before, so it should be interesting!
All projects were absolutely beautiful but my personal favorite was the last dresser that no thrift store would take. What a transformation!! Gorgeous!!
I really liked the sea glass dresser as it shows that even the worst wooden furniture can be brought back to life and never truly give up on them. Right now I have a couple pieces of antique furniture that need help and will give your advice a try and make them beautiful again. Thank you for all your information and tips.
I honestly can’t pick a favorite from your make overs because they were all first class # 1. But if that is a condition for the drawing, I’d say the last piece. The sea glass dresser- I’m so inspired!
I have to say that I love them all except one that is in your neighbor’s dining room. I’m not a shabby-chic fan so really, it’s just the colors used, however, the piece is amazing! My favorite would have to be the last one on this video. I have a piece nearly identical that my in-laws used in their bathroom as they put a sink into the top. Now the top is so water damaged, and with a gaping hole (because I hated the sink). The size, color, hardware are exactly the same so seeing that beautiful, soft blue that you used on your piece was so nice! We are now going to use ours in our new basement bathroom! I can’t make up my mind what color to paint it…you gave me some fabulous ideas! 🥰
love the last project, the dresser that no one would take, love the color of the dresses and the white wasted top. you gave it some love and voila it was beautiful., like your son's black desk too
My favorite piece is the sea glass and white washed dresser. I learned so much about how to remove veneer and using the white wash stain. It’s absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for always making your videos so easy to follow. Your work is incredible.
My favorite was the sea glass dresser no one wanted… so I have been watching your ALL your videos over and over … I started picking up pieces the last six months. OH, DEAR, MY HOUSE is so cluttered … I wanted to watch plenty of videos first to learn, get some details, tools, etc., to have enough on hand to do and finish a few projects … I’m ready to start; I THINK LOL I HOPE 😊 in the next few weeks… wish me luck 😊 on restoring, saving, refinishing, rescuing MAKING THINGS PRETTY AGAIN 😊 and winning the contest hopefully fingers crossed.
Just started this addictive hobby so I really appreciate all your videos. I loved the piano, something most would never think of doing. Now nothing is safe in my house and even eyeing friends and families stuff :)
It was so hard to choose, but my fav project of yours is the green side table you keep in your livingroom. I have been wanting to make over some pieces in my home for years, but was so hesitant because I really like the beauty of wood. Seeing your pieces gives me the courage to try. Thank you!
It’s a tie between the piano and the mission nightstand! I love the sleek look of the piano (although I don’t play piano, I would still have it in my dream home). However, I LOOOVE the sage/mossy color of the nightstand! The color actually inspired me to find a similar color for an old vanity I have for when I’m ready to spruce it up! 👍🏻
My favorite piece is #3 Mismatched Hutch. I like the wood look, as I saw this picture and thought about my bedroom furniture, but when I saw the finished product on these pieces, I fell in awe and love. This is my first time I have ever been inspired about refinishing. Truly, something inside me is awakening. I will be searching for more of your videos. Joy. Pgh, PA
My favorite is #6, the provincial 2 toned dresser! I have a similar dresser that is badly needing a makeover. Also love your commentary. It's detailed and the fact that you speak about what the paint container packaging looks like now, as to find it easier in the store is so helpful. Thank you
I liked how the coffee table worked well with the hutch in the “mismatched piece” but my favorite was the “mission nightstand” love the color and how you painted the hardware gold. I paint furniture as a living and financially it’s hard to buy supplies so to win this would be a huge blessing!!! Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
I can't decide which is my favorite... Either the Farmhouse Desk or the Mission Nightstand. They're all so pretty. I'm learning so much from your channel. I love repainting furniture!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. 😃♥️
Thx for making these informative utube videos. I sure appreciate your clear voice and precise pronunciation - so important for us seniors with slight hearing loss. Product lists, video content and video quality add to the fun of watching your tutorials.
It is hard to choose just one. They all look fabulous. But my favorite was the farmhouse desk. I also flip furniture and I have had a lot of luck with desk makeovers. Enjoyed this video. First time viewer. 😀
Cinderella has to be the best. I have such an ugly duckling kind of piece that I’ve been struggling to decide on a color for and I love your choices on that piece. Can’t wait to get started now! TFS
The last piece, the thrift store reject is, by far, my favorite. I have a taller chest of drawers that is quite similar. My aunt gave it to me in 92, she passed away in 2001 so I double cherish it. I put a sealer on it & painted knobs white when I first got it but nothing since. Seeing just how good it can look I think it's getting in line for future overhaul! Just found your site so you will be hearing from me from time to time. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
My favorite is Sea Glass Dresser, the are all beautiful
Just sent you an email!

@@RosenlundTara thank you ☺️
I want to know where “the side of the road” is! 😂
Ok... me too! 😂. Looking for this magical “side of the road” you have access to! 😂
Visiting Germany as a child we discovered how people discard their furniture on the side of the road and if no-one took it after a week then the owners had to pay for a removal van. "Side of the road" is in Germany 😂😜
Yes, me too!!
Right!? So many projects!
The Mission Nightstand made me smile when I saw the finished result. And the piano makeover has my upright shaking in her shoes!
Loved all your projects! I’m 72 years old and I just started up cycling old unwanted pieces of furniture. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Yes, it is hard to pick a favorite. They are all very nice. Thanks for all the tips!!!!!!!!
Your persistence alone impresses me with the “true trash to treasure”. They are all amazing! I can’t pick a favorite.
The little desk you refinished for your son is pretty much my favorite flip of all times!
The last dresser that thrift stores wouldn’t even take has to be my favorite!
I’m a newbie at this & have only tackled two small trays & now a table. I watch & rewatch your videos for your clever tricks & instructions. Thank you for a new hobby --from this retired teacher at 70!
My favorite is the last dresser. Always love it when an underdog becomes a winner!
My favorite revamp was your young son's desk; and the very last one. BEAUTIFUL!!🙂
The seaglass dresser is so amazing to me- I thought after seeing it, “How could anyone not want that!” You made that so incredible! I am so pumped to be turning around our first dinning room table in our new home and am loving learning about all these products, techniques, and possibilities! Oh please pick us 😁❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely love the dresser you did for your friend that now sits in her dining room.

My favorite is the last one .... it was so bad even the thrift stores wouldn’t accept it! And look at what you turned it into! ♥️
My favorite was the rags to riches. No goodwill or salvation army would expect. Great job restoring
My favorite was the child’s retro desk. I could see that in one of my boys’ rooms
I love the little green table! i love them all lol. Its one of my dreams to be able to do what you do!! holding thumbs!!! :)
Love these projects Christina!
My favorite is the piano. It turned out beautiful
I'm 23 years old and never commented this in my life on any channel - I highyl enjoy watching your videos, you are smart and talented and your videos are a delight. Hope you're having a good day❤️
I love the Farmhouse Desk on your daughter's room that didn't last without another redo. Love the pink!
They were all great makeovers but my favorite was the little mission style end table.
The little desk really went from being outdated to modern in the best way!
I love the stained wood with the contrast of pop paint. If I had to choose one it would be the desk for your older son. Such a great transformation
Trash to treasures are my absolute favorite kind of project! Hard to pick a fave from the video, but I think it’d have to be the repurposing the black piano! 🙌🏻👏👏

I’m LOVING that little green side table. Green just draws me in I could do all of my pieces in some shade of green and be a very happy girl.
Thank you. I’m 65 a survivor of a triple bypass. And all I wanna do is drink coffee and paint furniture. 😂😂. I’ve learned from you and I have used your color combinations. Be safe.

My favorite piece was the childhood desk. Such a beautiful connection to the story and a precious little piece.
Love number 10, the Goodwill/Salvation Army reject. Great to know that almost any piece can be saved!

😄 that old side table video is what gave me the confidence to stain a bench a few years ago. It worked out great! So thanks for that.
I LOVED all of your pieces in the video, but i especially LOVED the piece you did that the thrift stores wouldn't even take!! ❤ Thanks for sharing your expertise!😊

I loved the one even the thrift store wouldn't take. Warms the heart how you beautified the ugly duckling.
I really like the pink on your daughter's desk and the other piece of really like was your son's desk. They're both adorable.
Loved all the transformations, but especially the Seaglass Dresser because it truly saved it from going to a landfill! Double LOVE..
my favorite is the piano! never thought of taking on a project like that! drawers are one thing but all the detail & keys on the piano.... wow!
Your work is fabulous! You make it look so easy! I especially liked the seaglass dresser that you saved from the landfill! Didn't know that any furniture could be so bad that a thrift store would refuse it! I loved it!!
My favorite piece was the black piano and the black wax. The piano turned out gorgeous.
I love the last one because it was a true trash to treasure project. I like doing makeovers also for family and friends.
Love every single peice. But my favorite has to be the green side table. It was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.
I liked the desk you redid for your son. I love the natural wood look with a contrast. I didn’t realize wax can get the yellow out of natural stain.
I cannot pick just one item! I love watching all you girls do these furniture flips!! So cool!!
Found you by surprise and I have to say I was just mesmerized by what chalk paint can do. My favorite was the black desk, absolutely beautiful 😍

The last dresser is amazing. Truly a Cinderella story 🙂
All projects were absolutely beautiful but my personal favorite was the last dresser that no thrift store would take. What a transformation!! Gorgeous!!
I loved everything, but I really liked the desk where the bottom part of the legs were left natural. Really original idea.
I really liked the sea glass dresser as it shows that even the worst wooden furniture can be brought back to life and never truly give up on them. Right now I have a couple pieces of antique furniture that need help and will give your advice a try and make them beautiful again. Thank you for all your information and tips.
I like the mismatched hutch. I like saving money, and refinishing two separate pieces to match is great.
I cannot pick a favorite because they were ALL gorgeous.....I can watch your videos all day
I honestly can’t pick a favorite from your make overs because they were all first class # 1. But if that is a condition for the drawing, I’d say the last piece. The sea glass dresser- I’m so inspired!

My favorite piece is the small end table. I absolutely love the top with the natural details and the green body compliments the piece beautifully.
Last dresser was great! I am doing a baby dresser for unwed mothers. THanks!
My favorite is the dresser that was transformed several times. I especially liked the pink on it.
Thank you!
The mismatched hutch turned beautiful. It’s a toss up between it and the seaglass piece.
My favorite trash to treasure was the black piano and the sea glass dresser....I really like what you do the furniture...
I still like your first project. The two toned nightstand. It helped me to redo my nightstands in my bedroom and they turned out great.
They are all so beautiful. My favourite was the piano. It looked absolutely stunning. Also loved the seat it was with
The small green side desk is breath taking
My favorite piece is #3 Mismatched Hutch. I like the wood look, as I saw this picture and thought about my bedroom furniture, but when I saw the finished product on these pieces, I fell in awe and love. This is my first time I have ever been inspired about refinishing. Truly, something inside me is awakening. I will be searching for more of your videos.
Joy. Pgh, PA
Love the mismatched hutch, very creative and looks intended, not mismatched.
My favorite is #6, the provincial 2 toned dresser! I have a similar dresser that is badly needing a makeover. Also love your commentary. It's detailed and the fact that you speak about what the paint container packaging looks like now, as to find it easier in the store is so helpful. Thank you
I loved them every one but my favorite was the small table where you left the top natural!!! Super cute!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I simply love the last video on the piece the thrift store would not take. Awesome transformation ❤️

Sea glass dresser was my FAVORITE makeover! But they are ALL so pretty! I love watching your videos! They are so inspiring! 🥰
The best one was the one you have in your home that is green with gold handles, love it!
My favorite was your youngest sons desk! I loved the grain and paint contrast
My favorite was the black desk with the gold trim. Second was the piano. You’ve inspired me to give black a try.
It is hard to choose just one. They all look fabulous. But my favorite was the farmhouse desk. I also flip furniture and I have had a lot of luck with desk makeovers. Enjoyed this video. First time viewer. 😀
My favorite is your sons black desk. Love the gold accents and details. Beautiful!
I like the chalk painted piano because it's such a unique project. And to think, I gave away an old piano like that!
My favorite was the piano! I loved the transformation. Great job on all the others too.
I think the sea glass dresser was my favorite project, but they are all beautiful
All were beautiful transformations but the green end table and the sea glass dresser were my favorites
Cinderella has to be the best. I have such an ugly duckling kind of piece that I’ve been struggling to decide on a color for and I love your choices on that piece. Can’t wait to get started now! TFS
