@@jaylaanderson9702 that they do. Then again Johnny Appleseed lived here and we have one of the biggest apple themed festivals in the country. Cosmic Apples should be there next year, if one of my friends who works the event can be trusted. @@anameofsomesort959 Woooow I haven't heard the name Johnny Appleseed in YEARS! I totally forgot about that! And yeah, Kroger was founded in Cincinnati (my hometown) so it's probably there. Edit: I forgot to say that I learned the other day that 8 bushels of corn can either feed a person for an entire year, or fill up one gas tank, which is a shame! If we can find a way to reduce the amount of corn used in unleaded gas, maybe we can give that to starving people who need it!
@@jaylaanderson9702 well, happy apple hunting! Also, a lot of the corn used in Ethanol and animal feed sadly is not the corn that we would necessarily eat. It's made for high yield and taste, nutrition is not a concern. Still plenty of Universities, like Purdue, are working on a higher yield, tastier and more nutritious corn. Sadly, it's purely a commercial concern, but hopefully it can be used to feed starving people both here and abroad one day, I hope that isn't too idealistic of me...

These videos are somehow utterly magical. I love watching Ian explore, hearing his sometimes-bizarre thought process, and it's all so chill and set to the perfect music.
I love the transition of Ian's videos from "I dont know if anyone is gonna watch this" to "It's gonna be great, you're gonna love it" Also, as far as apple temperature preference goes, taste buds are less sensitive to cold foods, so a room temperature cosmic crisp might taste even sweeter

I really hope you'll keep doing these "out in the wild" videos in the future, your commentary is really special and I love it. Thanks for doing stuff like this, it somehow means a lot to me.
I’m gonna be honest. At first I was gonna be like “ah. Not a cooking video?” But this tour of Seattle was amazing. It made me really want to be there and walk the streets. Hope it all does well during this whole corona thing....
I've literally never eaten a cold apple in my entire life and have never kept apples in my refrigerator. That may explain why I've had to throw away so many apples.
This and the moving video you made are perhaps my favorite videos you have ever made. I love it when you just kinda have a road trip and show the local sights. Sincerely. @@beepboop8751 All is forgiven but the second you go out of your way to acquire one you are damned
However long it is, I stay for 4 of those :|

I’ve been gifted 3 by my girlfriend and gotten two for myself, one for her and one for my brother. If those count and being gifted them doesn’t then I’m in for four units of time too. 😂
I honestly love all these weird, niche videos about weird, niche things. I love the editing style, the humor, honestly everything! I've been watching Brutalmoose since I was in fifth grade and I'm a high school junior now, so I'm glad I kind of got through my teenage years with this channel. I don't really know if you read these, Ian, but I want to thank you for continuing to make this content. It really brightens my day to watch uploads of yours, even ones I've already watched about a hundred times.
The cosmic crisp sounds like a way to die in space

LOL Underrated comment
Cosmic crisp: either a tasty apple or some unlucky astronaut who got too close to space radiation
@@Hatsworthful4 years late but maybe a astronaut who was too hot for awhile
No joke, I live in Pullman, WA (home of Washington State University) and I’ve been eating these apples daily for two weeks. It’s certainly a source of pride in Pullman. Every store has a massive display right in the front door and are selling them by the bag. Haha.
I haven’t heard of these things until now, I guess it’s a Washington thing
Blake Nelson it’s a really awesome apple! I love how strong the taste is
Seriously! I plan to make apple cider with them at some point.
Vancouver here. these apples are bomb AF, i grabbed 10 a few days back and they're already gone. Honestly they are my favourite apples.
Hell yeah lad go cougs! The market at global always has them
There is a mall called Pacific place a few streets up from pikes place that has a pikes place chowder in it. That pikes place chowder has a smaller line because it's not right in the middle of pikes place.
It's PIKE Place, not Pikes Place.
I've been to pike place a million times I didnt know this
@@FrenkTheJoy It's on Pike street so it would make sense to say Pike's Place as well. I personally call it Pike, but it doesn't matter. I live in Seattle and work near downtown. I hear both from locals all the time.

Real Donald Trump thanks mr. president
You’re not going to be disappointed Beastars is one of my all time favorites. The art is so unique and the story’s so interesting.
I've been seeing Lugosi memes for like a year, and it's only now that I find out it's a manga
I couldn't get into it tbh. I tried, really I did. I can't stand it now lol.
Entropy Bean that’s fine at least you know now it’s not for you.

Nothing better than a cold crusty apple!
Aidan David better be fuckin green. I don’t support red as a color.
i think sosio's just loves apples, they've had dudes out on the street with apple slices inviting people over "check out this apple it's great" for like 10 years
I would kill to go to a place where people just hung out on the streets offering fresh apple slices to passersby.
Pink Lady is my favourite apple. It has the right crunch, the right juiciness, the right sweetness. Truly, they are delicious!
Watching Brutalmoose is like watching one of those roadtrip variety KPBS shows.
I'm glad someone asked what temperature we like our apples because I always felt weird for having a preference. It's slightly colder than room temperature for me because I hate biting cold things.
Man Brutal Foods was like the best idea ever, they’ve become some of my favorite videos on UA-cam.
I've been stuck in Norway for a year, and as a Washington native, this video is an absolute godsend for me.
Thank you, Mr. Brutalmoose.
Heia Norge! Why and where are you stuck in Norway, greatest country on earth! Cheesehøvel, Brown cheese, akevitt and lutefisk.
JAAA VI ELSKER DETTE LANDET!
My favourite Moose video by far. I feel like a tourist being shown around a cool place by a chill yet enthusiastic guide. A very relaxing and entertaining time.
As a worker at a large grocery store in Oregon, I can confirm that it was HUGE when Cosmic Crisp apples hit the floor! It was heavily advertised, and was the talk of the town. Those apples took up all our major displays for weeks.
Very excited to see you ended up randomly picking up Beastars! It definitely one that stands out as a manga at least to me, especially later on. I'm currently reading it and got to about chapter 140ish, it gets a bit action-y but in a good way! I really do hope you end up liking it if you decide to continue reading it! :)
I'm around chapter 60 and I am totally in love with everything about it so far
I was actually eating a Cosmic Crisp apple earlier today. My sister-in-law's family is from Washington and got us some for Christmas. Easily the crispest, juiciest apple I've ever eaten in my life.

I love how when people realise Ian has a camera they awkwardly try to shuffle out of frame while avoiding eye contact.
That's how you can tell none of them watch the channel.
Welcome to Seattle! We hate eye contact and assume we’re all being watched, or crazy.
4 years on and still waiting for that other down town seattle video!
But really though, I love this video. It's very cozy and soothing.

Here in Indiana our universities focus on Pharmaceutical, Engineering, and agricultural breakthroughs involving corn and soybeans, man have we been wasting our time! Thanks Washington State!
Hey, America runs on corn and soy! We're corny people! Much like from a fellow Midwesterner (Ohio).
@@jaylaanderson9702 that they do. Then again Johnny Appleseed lived here and we have one of the biggest apple themed festivals in the country. Cosmic Apples should be there next year, if one of my friends who works the event can be trusted. Also, you can buy these at Kroger now, so you probably have some less than a mile away from you if I now anything about Ohio.

There used to be UFO themed cereal called Quisp. It tasted like a cross between Honeycombs and Cap'n Crunch
These videos are somehow utterly magical. I love watching Ian explore, hearing his sometimes-bizarre thought process, and it's all so chill and set to the perfect music.
I love the transition of Ian's videos from "I dont know if anyone is gonna watch this" to "It's gonna be great, you're gonna love it"
Also, as far as apple temperature preference goes, taste buds are less sensitive to cold foods, so a room temperature cosmic crisp might taste even sweeter
"We're obviously not going to go into every store" Ian says as he passes by a bookstore.
Clearly, we are very different people.

I've literally never eaten a cold apple in my entire life and have never kept apples in my refrigerator. That may explain why I've had to throw away so many apples.
Forget Ms Frizzle and the Magic School Bus. I’d pay real money to go on a Seattle field trip with Ian. This video was awesome!
This and the moving video you made are perhaps my favorite videos you have ever made. I love it when you just kinda have a road trip and show the local sights. Sincerely.
