Voted! 1st place, wooow
Voted!!
I swear there's no one in this entire YT that would make me watch a 1h30 episode besides June. She's pure talent.
Totally!!! 😊
Your comment made me realize that this video even was 1,5 hours haha, damn it's so fun to watch!
omg i didn’t even realize it was an hour intill i read your comment after i finished the video haha
Same
I definitely agree
Give June a $150 episode!! I know it's not 'budget eats' but June deserves some premium quality food and I wanna see what she can create with them 🥺
DOUBLE YES!!! I would love to see this, it’ll be great to see how creative she will get with that budget!
Absolutely!!! Such a good idea
AGREE!!
YES! YES! YES!
It's still "Budget Eats", just "Big Budget Eats" lol
Does anyone ever come back to these Budget Eats videos because they're a comfort? I seriously watch several a week to casually watch as indo housework because they're truly like a warm hug.
SAME
I watch them to get sleepy. Not because it's boring, it's so comforting.
I watch these every single night. They are very comforting. I don’t quite know why, though…
@@rebeccamesecher929 These videos help me sleep!
They also feel like assurance that no matter what happen, you’ll be able to feed yourself.
she makes me feel so much better about my mini food processor, cheap pans, and obsession with not wanting to use the oven for just one thing :) she inspires me so much and i want to be just like her someday!
I suspect you already are
Yes! Between her skills, calm vibrant energy and resourcefulness she makes all of this feel more approachable and fun to try :)
Hoyeah
Omg Yass 🙌 and minimal wastage, so inspiring. She inspires me to actually use up what's in the pantry.
I want you to be just like you some day. Today even :)
I wonder if June is aware of the fact that if she created her own UA-cam channel, all of us would just move there from here, leaving Delish behind.
She did
She goes live almost every day!!!
@@prairiewindsregalia1931 That explains the fact that Delish doesn't add a link to her channel in their video description, hahaha!
@@prairiewindsregalia1931 what is the channel name?
@@cececheerie junelikethemonth
Ok, but how is it that June's hair manages to get even more rockstar with every video.
There is no explanation for that magic!
Maybe it's the magic of the MSG 🤔 No matter, she's a rock star!
Her power is increasing with every video.
You should watch her live streams. She cuts her hair in them!
When you are a rock star, you can't stop it from pouring out of you.
And June is definitely the Rock Star of YT food videos.
:D
The thing I appreciate most about June's cooking is the home cook factor being dominant over "chef" techniques. I feel like I can reproduce her efforts successfully, rather than seeing a chef perform some miracle I can't ever attain. I also like that she uses *everything* with almost no food waste. My mom did the same. :D
p
Sometimes you want to see culinary magic to be entertained.
Sometimes you want to see home cooking to be educated.
Education and entertainment are both very important
I'm not vegan but I was raised in a Buddhist household. My dad told me to eat and use as many parts of the animals as possible because that animal gave its life for you. Same with hunters. They use up all the parts. People should think about it.

Some consolation. Imagine it "at least they're going to eat ALL of me".
These advertisers better be paying a PREMIUM for June’s episodes there is no better and more brilliant and more humanitarian chef than JUNE
Hello beautiful, how are you doing?
Just making things weird lol ^^^
June truly is exactly what I need. I don't want to watch someone use 500 different 1 use machines that each cost $100+. I have unsubscribed from SO MANY youtube cooks because they changed and got awkwardly fancy. I am a regular american millennial with a regular/low budget because of my regular/high student loans and I want to watch cooking videos to relax / get ideas from not be guilted because my kitchen is ill-equipped by my regular landlord(s). Thank you for everything you do June and Zach! Tell us who we need to write/call so that you both get raises!!
this comment is underrated. echo my sentiments exactly
I don't subscribe I just watch videos...mostly fast forward watching cannot stand vloggers who like to talk out of their elbows
💯💯💯💯💯💯
Whenever I have a mental health episode I always go back to the budget eats series. They’re always so interesting and June has a to provide some sort of temporary distraction. Thank you.
I do the same thing!!!
As a single mom, I love these videos. I’m able to stretch my grocery budget and feed myself and my child for the entire month
with that?? please don´t
JUNE: “Aaron hates potatoes”
(June makes potatoes)
AARON: (eats potatoes) “Turns out I like them.”

Budget Eats: Stock a Kitchen! How to stock the basic spices, oils, vinegars, etc for $20.
The dollar store 💪👌👍
I second this request!
bulk section of any grocery store!
I need this
@@ternyasen second that. Most of my spices are from the bulk bins, I get about a tablespoon and a half each time and I only spend about 6¢ on each of them. Spices don't keep for that long so it's better that way anyways. Also then you can see what you're constantly having to stock up on. If I use it a ton of something I'll get a jar of that. When it runs out I'll still keep getting it from the bulk bins and refill the jar.
Still super glad June gives such wonderful representation and depictions of Asian cooking styles and habits. Everyone applauds single moms and guardians of children making due with low incomes. Everyone seems to enjoy both fast and casual and upscale and expensive Asian food. Everyone wants to eat healthier with less impact to the environment and support local business. A lot of that happens when you're second generation Asian American, but people still scoff and make fun of you when you bring that food to school or work (in a recycled food container, like an empty Cool Whip tub!). Normalizing all this dispels stigma, racist ideas, and helps for all the reasons above. Never forget you make a huge difference, June!
Chicken heart is perfectly “normal” in a lot of food culture and mine as well. It is tasty and nutritious. While I understand it is not for everyone, I personally will take fresh chicken heart over processed meat any day of the week. 100%
chicken heart is SO good. the texture! the taste! amen to this dude.
I'm okay with the texture but the slight metallic taste that kinda travels to my nose is something I have a problem with

If there’s anything I’ve learned in this series is that @junelikethemonth loves mush
Word! This video was cool because June is cool but it is as if she is legit cooking with garbage. I was queasy several times watching this.
How about Aaron shops for June and she has to make 1 weeks worth of meals
Or cherries with olive oil and chilies lmaooo
Ooooooo. Good idea
It will sugar, sugar, sugar and sugar🤦♀️
I panicked when I saw that the voting had closed and then I read that June won, and I felt less guilty! LOLOL!
We need a June at Costco episode. $100 budget for one month!!!
i dont think june wants to work for a month straight
Costco or Sam’s Club one, but yeah! Totally agree!
Fun idea, but produce and other important parts of daily menus wouldn't last more than a week or so.
The best things about this channel:
1. June and how much passion she has for cooking.
2. The fact that June practically practices magic with her creations.
3. Their wholesome, supportive, and caring relationship they display.
I signed up for the site just to vote, because this show absolutely deserves to win.

Right? I never thought I’d be happy about that on youtube 🤣 she’s so great!!!
You know I just realized I was an hour and 10 mins in after seeing your comment.
@@jaquellaferguson2312 Hello beautiful, how are you doing?
This was my first June video and I.. i didnt notice this was that long, i wondered what you meant at first until i looked at the video time, what is this sorcery
Aaron is totally right, June is an artist, that’s why we watch her! Her creativity is inspiring.
I love how June eats all her food and shows closeups of forkful after forkful with a bright smile bc she’s so proud! Most “show” chefs take like one or two bites.
I was raised by the cheapest little old Greek lady who lived thru the depression & was one of seven kids.
I can pinch a penny until it's copper wire lol.
So many of these meals remind me of the stuff I make when we are broke (always).
Once while I was out on medical leave from a job, we went 45 days with absolutely no income whatsoever.
Thank fuck for food banks & knowing how to make something from almost nothing.
Also: I love mush foods. In my house, we call them GRUEL. nice. Lol
Absolutely love love LOVE u June❣️
Gruel sounds way more awesome than mushy! I gonna call it gruel from now on.
When Aaron asks June how she cuts her onions so thin... and she responds “with a knife.” 😒 is an entire mood
I suspected: "With a knife. Don't anger me." *lol*

I’m a student living far from my family and I’ve been watching every of these episodes somehow it helps and give me idea what to cook for my meals every day despite the tight monthly budget. THANK YOU, YOU’RE THE BESTTTT!!
When I saw those beat up string beans, it reminds me of waaaaaay back, my dad would pick up the unsold string beans and greens from a local Asian store. He soaked them in water and they were good as new. Truly 🙏grateful.
Who else re-watches June's Budget Eats videos OVER AND OVER?
WoW that's wonderful 😍
Meeee lol while cooking. She is like my cooking buddy

it never ceases to amaze me how June uses every single part of the ingredient.
Yes! “Nooo! Don’t throw that dirt away from the cauliflower leaves! I’m going to make a cake out of that!” 😂😂😂
“Food isn’t food unless someone eats it” just blew my mind
Do you know what I love about your presentations? You hold them right up in front of your face, with smile, proud as can be! It's really charming!
I love how she can teach with technique while still experimenting herself. One of the coolest chicks alive.
june: it ends when 15$ ends man
aaron: so in like a year from now, with your skills?
Omg how did i ever think this man wasn't 10000% appreciative and impressed with her skills???
Right!? There was a time where I judged him unfairly but now I see he's actually very supportive and honest. I love them both. 😊
Oh! Here’s an idea. What if you did a budget eats, but instead of shopping you have a weeks worth of meal delivery kits like Hello Fresh or Chefs Plate or whatever! June never gets to see the recipe cards or what the kit was supposed to make. Just pre portioned ingredients! I’d love to see what she comes up with and how far she can stretch it.
THIS IS GENIUS!!! id love to see this
Did Aaron just compare his eating skills to her cooking skills as the same? The patience this woman has.
June is the reason anyone watches delish. We know it, you know it, delish knows it. We need to give our queen a $1,000 budget, a trip to Paris, her own farmers market, a Noble Peace Prize. June is literally the queen we all need to save 2021. 👸🏻🥰❤️
Omg this whole time I thought it was just her channel because these r the only ones I watch from it 💀💀💀💀

“You’re only here for one lifetime, eat all the things” June is truly an inspiration
Chef here: I absolutely watch June for inspiration. Her creativity, culinary fearlessness, intelligent frugality, understanding of what kinds of substitutions to make, and willingness to do the extra prep work (grinding beans, etc) are all deeply impressive. And her presentation skills get a huge chef's kiss.
“Very vibrant just like you june” I think that’s so wholesome 🥺
Any food ever:

I'm so there

I have NEVER even heard of a potato hater before this video, and my brain cannot compute.
Me neither potatoes are perfect! Absolutely perfect! How can you hate perfection?

I don’t even care about the budget part of budget eats - I just love to see June make creative meals with whatever she can find.
It will be so interesting to see if June can cook for/in a homeless shelter as a volunteer. Give the team whatever budget and see June works her magic and appease hunger for the poor/homeless if only for a day.

June’s understanding of food is amazing. I love watching her creations.
This is kind of selfish, but can we have a Delish episode in which June Zooms in to my kitchen, looks at what I have, and coaches me through cooking a meal?

oemgee how fitting lol. I'd watch everything anything from her.
See fancy food channels...the people just want to know how to make a basic meal on a normal budget! GJ June and Delish!
Except more people are living in food deserts and/or have severe food allergies and 8 dinners for 2 people is EASILY 80 if they shop cheap.
@@FlickiChicki you're right, food deserts are a serious problem. June is lucky, that she has access to stores willing to discount food, many big chains prefer to destroy the food rather than sell cheap. And thats assuming you even have one near you.
@@MonkeyspankO my fun is most stores in my area are still only open 8-6. AKA my work hours. So I have to go on weekends and it's a mess. 13.2 miles to a grocery store. Of course, I have to agree with Aaron here. June, you are absolutely a true artist. You have such vision and are so inventive and adaptive. I don't think I could re-create a lot of the dishes you make but they also don't seem hard.
