It's not about being PC, trust me, I been worse at interviews, it's about being able to structure what you think and say so that even when it's blunt, you don't have 80% of the people not getting your message or even worse, your message being lost in translation because of all the noise around the part you just spit right out of your free train of thought. Everytime I said shocking things on live radio or TV, I could straight back it up by intelligible facts or explaination.

The extra video with the aftermath of fire coverage was really well done.
UA-cam rewind continues to decline because there are so many more creators and pieces of media that we haven’t had before. The mistake however is that youtube tries and fails in recent years to mash too many peices of annual pop culture into one 10 second scene. It’s only natural that the amount of diversity and content grows exponentially throughout the years, but there’s so much wasted potential that occurs when these things aren’t pieced together properly, and are instead mashed togethee in a “lol so random” fashion. In addition, I don’t think I’m alone in the realization that there are more and more creators I don’t know added to the mix, most often due to the international barriers. If UA-cam Rewind is going to accomplish what it wants to do, there has to be WAY more cohesiveness in their mashups. In a way to favor everyone, we could have several rewinds that are shorter but focus on one nation/region of youtubers, with creators that make a splash in multiple languages or nations doing a bit of crossover. Either way I felt disappointed, and hope it’s better next year.
Dylan Applegate I think that’s a great idea. Have a rewind for different counties to try and make it all more meaningful. Any Indian or Japanese creators I don’t watch, while I’m sure audience in those countries don’t watch many Americans.

I've stopped watching those UA-cam Rewind videos because I've stopped wanting to be reminded that I am old and have no idea what the kids are into. Phil you made the right choice by "being too busy" for it; it's a bit of a sinking ship.....
I never realised until i looked in the "trending" tab that youtube is basically 1 big drama filled, make up loving kids... 95% of youtube trending are make up tutorials, music videos, or TV shows highlights. Then the other 5% is rhett and link mostly lol

Peanut Turner There’s really no reason to watch if you’re an older person. It is in horrible taste, and not reflective of what the younger people are doing. I’m 16, it really only shows the” positives” and forces an sjw and progressive message. There’s nothing wrong with that, but they SHOULDN’T FORCE IT! It doesn’t really show controversies, drama, or edgyness from the younger kids. We love memes, and things of the such, there really wasn’t any of that there including lots more.

I can't stand Lena Dunham on so many levels
I've been searching into the Huawei spying thing for a good bit now and I have found exactly zero evidence to ever support it. Further, this doesn't make any sense from a logical standpoint. If you think a device might be spying on you, reverse engineer it. We're talking about phones, smart watches, networking switches, and other such devices here. Things you can hold in your hands, put on a lab table, and disassemble. We can monitor and any all communications going into and out of these devices so why not grab random samples and test? You find ONE product, ever, that is doing ANYTHING it wasn't expressly advertised to do and you'll have my support for trying to ban the company - but as it stands, they're a very solid competitor in the space and an innovative one at that. They're the sort of shakeup the tech industry *needs* in order to keep Apple, Samsung, and the other big names innovative. I'd be shocked if this whole spying thing wasn't some Apply Lobbyist driven fear mongering trying to turn laws against their competition.
China was caught installing a tiny microchips into hundreds of thousands of devices manufactured in China (affecting Cisco and others). This had been going on for some time because it's not so simple to disassemble devices like you believe it is. Now, that wasn't explicitly Huawei, but they are a subject of the Chinese government.
Disassembly would be even harder to do, when the infrastructure is maintained by Huawei themselves - it's not as simple as buying devices, Huawei is responsible for installing the devices too, which gives them control over those devices.
NerdiCorgi Gaming The German Telekom is investigating the Huawei 5G networks with a cybersecurity task force for quite some time now and they couldn't find anything, neither could other government and spy agencies.
The US govt. also couldn't show any proof to the German govt. regarding their claims.

As a non-American, if you are a foreign citizen who isn't in the country that laws you have supposedly broken how can you be charged. If you are not a citizen, not in the sovereign territory of the country whose laws you have supposedly broken how can that country reasonably charge you and hold you to laws that you have no obligation to uphold? Extraditing a person so they are in your sovereign territory seems to be a dirty way to punish someone who you have no reason and or power to. I understand that sanctions are an international matter, but Europe and the UK are actively seeking a workaround, so why aren't their companies being charged. I see this move as a nation over reacting their power and authority into other nations sovereignty and laws. I understand the US is an international superhouse but this to me looks more like a government trying to dominate the world by not accepting the sovereign rights of people who are citizens of another country who are not within your borders and therefore not beholden to your laws. This is a fundamental attack on countries independence and autonomy. As an Australian, I don't see this as justice but a step closer to the US controlling the authority of independent regions and nations of the world Don't for one second think this will be an isolated incident and that this could not happen to citizens of other countries even developed western ones.

@@hunterbowman5150 As an Australian we are both allies with China and America for economical purposes. If you want to call the Trump administration democracy I will agree (as technically he won a legal election) but the China totalitarianism doesn't seem to be equally bad or good than the American government at the moment. Both have their problems and both have their positives. Australian doesn't due to its physical global position have an ability to consider Asian or Middle Eastern countries as lesser or greater than western allies we have. As such seeing an ally use their international position to suppress and control another ally no matter the situation, it needs to be seen in the realistic context and questioned in order for some international checks and balances to be put in place amongst the global international community.

Yea "400 years" you realize the US isnt even what? 250 years old yet right? The obvious point is that people are keeping themselves mentally stuck in the "slave" mentality. The Irish were treated worse than black people when they mass migrated over during the potato famine because "at least the blacks kept their house clean" was a common slight against the irish. Italians were also treated terribly as well. Do you see the descendants of those ethnicities whinging aboot how their ancestors were treated?
No because while this country just like any other through history has had its flaws its continually strived to get better. The only thing holding it back are the people wishing we could go back to when race was a bigger problem than it is socially and people pretending that problems with race today are no different from 200 years ago when people were in literal chains. He isn't deep nor is he very metaphorical. He was ignorant thinking that just because there was a vast majority of slaves in the US why didn't they mass rebel which is a poor, arrogant idea
He probably meant something in the lines of "being 400 years in slavery without revolution" seems like a choice. But like Phil said, it could be open to intepretation.
@@zacharyjackson1829 I mean technically a big reason why slavery became such a profitable trade was because African tribes fought and sold each other off to slavers. If they had put aside their differences and united to repel the slavers then in a way the slave trade probably would have died out much quicker than it did. That's why its a good idea not to be spiteful of the people around you because you never know what abhorrent events lie elsewhere.

It's a small thing, but Thank You so much for saying "legal system" and not 'judicial system'. Judicial system implies justice and as almost everyone knows in that particular system, it's not about justice, but about who can twist the legal verbiage to suit them best.
