Don't forget the Sunday Darkwave forks! They are basically R28's as they have a nice and balanced 28mm offset. Made by Odyssey for Sunday and still 'Stampy' tested with the addition of the lifetime warranty too.
Forgot to add. The compression cap that looks like a smiling cyclops is there so you can run the front brake line through the smile portion and still be able to service your rig without removing brake cable. Thanks for all you do!👍Up Tha BMX!!!👍🤪👍
@@soots-stayingoutofthespotl5495 just looking to do a little different style of riding . I still have my 32s wanting to track down a nice trail frame and build a different bike so I have two rigs
Just got the oddessy f25 forks and the oddessy evo 2.5 front brake with clear oddessy slim pads on my bike and it handles really good and the brake will lock up the front wheel, got a cult wheelset and a fitbikeco 21" frame handles awesome
I do like the S&M XLT forks, I've built a few bikes with them and never had an issue. I don't believe the S&M forks are too much cheaper and for the money Oddy are the go to unless you need brand matching on your bike!
In my experience, it really depends on the tire. Slicker tires fit, the odyssey Aitken 2.4 fits, the demolition hammerhead and s&m mainline in 2.4 (which are both knobbier tires) will rub.
R in R32 R25 and R15 stands for race, don't know why but they mention it in the description of their R25s saying "32mm offset is the standard offset that the Odyssey Race forks have come with for years, and they now also offer a steeper/quicker 25mm offset for the street riders" Implying that it stands for race. The F in the F32 F25 and F15s I'm guessing stands for Freestyle?.
They could possibly be coming out with a new version so they try to get rid of all the old ones as fastest possible that could be a reason why there so cheap in price
Your model forks are really old for the tires to rub, over the last couple years they have widened them up a hair. I run a 2.4 on a wider front rim. No issues rubbing what so ever. However the warranty is isolated for the first time buyer. You’re supposed to have the receipt when getting the warranty. Lastly. All the forks are amazing. I’ve ridden every pair over the years. I had one pair or 32d catastrophically fail. I barspinned off the curb and the forks snapped off inside the steerer tube and my wheel rolled away as my face bounced off the street. They replaced them within a day and never had another issue. The F stands for Flat I believe, could also stand for front like front break.
I'm 5'9 and am wondering if I should get a 20.5 top tube. I have a 21 top tube right now and I can't do anything else but bunny hop. It's said 5'9 can fix on a 20.5 or a 20.75, but which is best?
Hey Dougsterbob!👍🤪👍I love my Odyssey forks!👍They have been my fork of choice for years. I run F32mm and F25mm offsets. I've been running brakes up front and of course back since, well let's just say a long time. I ride everything including flatland so brakes have always served me well for all the crazy antics I like to put myself through.🤪 You questioned what the R and F stand for. Well the R designation refers to race and F for freestyle. You're doing a lot of fantastic things for the BMX community!👍 Keep kicking ass brother!👍 Up Tha BMX!!!👍🤪🤘👊🍻🏴☠️🍻👊🤘🤪👍
I personally wouldn't buy these new, because I don't buy new I'm not rich, but you can find oddy forks used for good prices. I'm a fan of the 2nd hand market, you'll never catch me buying new ever! Other than a headset or BB lol But I will get all the same things you get from your new item from my used item! That being said, I need more of YOU guys to buy these new so there can be more on the 2nd hand market later lol

What do you think of the 28mm offset
@@Vlexthebarber in all honesty they’ve been so damn good. Less twitchy than other offerings but also super easy to control for street.
@@Vlexthebarberme ex came with some chromoly 28mm offset and they are nice I do want some steeper forks though
Yes bro, I have ×2 R15's and also some Darkwave forks in the post 💯💥👌👊
Just got my r32 on my kink whip thanks to you & your viewers. These are .7 of a lb. Lighter than my stock ones
Always been a fan of the R32. Light, strong and warrantied to the original purchaser for life!

I ran R32s for the last year, just replaced them with R25s last week. Love em …. I paid 140 a year ago for my 32s 170 for the25s a year later
Why the change of offset, and how did they feel in comparison?

My R15 runs a 2.4 fine, and my friend have the R25 with 2.5 and runs fine to
appreciate that, almost held off on 25s because I have 2.4
Thank you, was worried that I've ordered R15 and also Cinema 2.5 tyres 🤝👊
I got two R25’s and love them (got them 5 years ago)
They have changed that I have r32s with BSD Donasqueeks in 2.4 and have plenty of room for the tire

F is for friends that do stuff together
I have r25s on my darkwave and r32s on my colony sweet tooth
I just got a brand new sweet tooth frame are the r32 forks good on the sweet tooth man?
Is it possible that the 2.40 tire can fit there without a clerance issue?

Fs are the same as rs but fs have brake mounts welded on correct stands for freestyle
hi any thoughts on the federal assualt fork? im wondering why is it cheaper than most of the forks is it no good?
They could possibly be coming out with a new version so they try to get rid of all the old ones as fastest possible that could be a reason why there so cheap in price
I have R15's and have 250 Cinema Williams tyres and there's no friction
Awesome video Doug ❤

The 'F' stands for Freestyle, while the 'R' stands for Race.
Freestyle
Anybody know what which fork is for, street, park, bowl
If your riding all three I’d say r32

20.75
I’m 5’8 and run a 20.75 and it feels perfect
I'm 5'9 and ride a 20.4 , feel super responsive. It is just a matter or getting used to and align it with your type of riding
5’10” 150lbs here and I ride 20.75 with 9-10 inch bars 165-175 cranks
You know why they put tornadoes in there , cos someone deff sent a pair back due to tornadoe
r is for race and f is for freestyle

Freestyle
F is for flatland.
No, the 'F' stands for Freestyle while the 'R' stands for Race.
