If you don’t use a tour company, do you still suggest leaving a 3:00 am? We will have a car and do like the ease of being on our own schedule. Both my husband and son have lived in Latin America, so navigating the roads (even though difficult) is probably something they can handle. Also, your video has been one of the best!
@@JaredDillinghamTravel thanks for answering me back and for you tip. It really is nice to be able to make your own schedule and even divert if you see something cool (sometimes you do end up putting 1000’s of kilometers on your rental though 😂🤷♀️), but it you can swing it, it’s worth it!

I envy your flexibility! If you have your own car, you can arrive in the afternoon when the crowd dies down and the tours leave. That's what I'd do!

Climbing up higher away from the main viewpoint is the only way to view the lake!
Definitely get beyond the crowd at "the rock"
