So you say when you pull it up and down and it sticks, and you said you've never figured out why they do. Well that's what mines doing, when I pull up the spider part it sticks and doesn't slide up and down with ease. I've cleaned and cleaned and blew it out and it still sticks?? What in the world can that be?
You know that man's voice sounds just like the man that used to run a show called red jacket where they made guns. That's who I thought it was when I first heard it but I know that's impossible.
This a problem that Polaris needs to put in there warranty and common .my clutch went out only using my new razor 3 times ..didnt even get a chance to do a oil change on it. Same problem wit my brothers . .. and ive seen many other customers wit that problem. Needs to change that or make it better especially on a dam automatic..
So I tore mine apart because of the bearing gone bad. I only decided to replace rollers, buttons, etc because it seems like the logical thing to do when you're that far into it. I don't understand why you are saying that it won't last? Is there something that I should be checking for?
I have a 2012 rzr 800, primary clutch is rubbing against the inner clutch cover. The screws are tight behind the clutch as well, what could cause that?
@Hunterworks okay must be clutch then, cause they did a mudder clutch kit install, so I think they had the wrong springs in the wrong clutches, cause I replaced the cover already, but thanks for the response, I'm putting stock clutch back in
I have some space between my bearing and washer, I'm guessing that means my spider nut backed off. Should i bring it to 3p offroad to have them tighten it back up or just buy a new clutch?
what causes the primary clutch on a 2017 1000xp highlifter to have a groove worn into the primary with only 500 miles ?? cant find any videos of why it would be causing a groove with such little mileage.. has only been ridden roughly 150 miles per year since new and mudded once and slightly burned the belt to where it keeps throwing the missfire code constantly when mashing the throttle. THANKS
all of them get a slight groove near the bottom as that is where the belt touches when you first start of, no big deal. Misfires etc are a bigger worry and if the spider and nut backed of, deeper groove and misfires occur
Thank you for your response! When I get my clutch kit for the 32” tires I’ll be sure to check the spider and nut! I’m probably just over thinking it. Came from a yxz1000r to a Polaris cvt and I know little about these machines
Cleaned clutch with cleaner like showed on your cleaning video weights have some flat spots but when clean we’ll runs great for about 30 minutes then stalls when stop or slowly idles on own untill stalls out again would that be weights or a totally new clutch?
Have you seen the inboard face of the primary break into pieces? 2017 XP 1000. Not raced or abused. 325 miles. I can send pics if you jave an email available. Thanks!
@@Hunterworks Thank you. I sent you an email last night with a few pictures. It was new to me, and strange how symmetrically it broke out. Hoping the new one fixes the issue!
I found 2 bad lifters and my cam lobes are seared off but i cant turn the primary by hand pretty sure its stuck ingaged the clutch was already going out but i got milky oil so with the broken lifters is that how i got water in my oil or do you think i have a hole somewhere inside letting it mix together or do you think the head gasket went out with it? i popped the bottom hose off and it was antifreeze but whole top end is mixed and when i drained it it was mixed but no metal shavings
I do not know about engines, can't help there. The clutch is stuck because it is locked on the crank (normal) and the crank won't turn due to internal engine issues.
Hi i have a 2011 rzr 800 and rpms go up and down 1200-1700 rpm and when it goes down after a few seconds it the gas and goes back up and takes a few seconds 15-20 sec to go down can that be the clutch ?

@@jacobfoulds7618 All I can tell you is most likely not clutching, there are some rare things that cause this in there but most times some kind of low power issue
I blew out my clutches with some compressed air and I’m running 2 gallons of 110 octane and the rest 87 seem to clean everything up it’s getting full RPMs running good
Great to see you're putting it some new videos!
Your the man! Love your videos.

Did it on my sportsman 850 with only 300miles loud clunking noise when hit gas and letting off

I say because it is true, most do not get very many miles after a rebuild and you can't put metal back on the belt surface
What happens If your primary clutch doesnt have a washer? What's the symptoms ill run into? 21 rzr 1000 xp
Which washer, under the bolt that holds it on or inside on the spider nut?

There is supposed to be a little, are you having issues with the clutch?
@@Hunterworks my clutches have been aligned with your alignment tool, but I’m having an issue shifting in between gears.

So are the weights supposed to have side to have side to side movement?
A little

low speed and rpm normally not clutch related, low power issue and you just have to find it, could be simple as dirty air filter
