- Meet the team and get a glimpse of what happened behind the scenes of the session for the Duality EZXs.
The Duality I and Duality II EZXs are expansions for EZdrummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3 recorded by engineer/producer Jakob Herrmann and drummer Alex Landenburg at Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden. Audio demos and more here:

Jacob and Alex working together is such a good team. In my book, the Duality EZXs are the finest Toontrack accomplishment. If you are true Rocker, you know. These are the best hihats dynamics out there. Best cymbals too of all EZXs.
Thank you so much! Yes, we've worked so hard on the cymbals. From choosing them carefully to paying A LOT of attention to the recordings!
I really dig the idea of a "warm", less produced sounding ezx and giving us Access to the raw kit✌️
Two of my favorite music people doing great things. Really cool.
best library for metal, for sure
The Duality EZXs are amazing, yes!
These sound great. Like how there is plenty of warmth but the clicks and smack of the snare is still there. Great stuff
These are the best sounding EZXs for metal so far. I like Duality II even more than the Death SDX, which was my favorite library so far.
so much passion. love it
So killer guys! Can’t wait to use this
Awesome as always! Metal forever \m/
I was pretty confident this was going to be somehow related to Planetary Duality by The Faceless because of the color scheme and the alien-esque imagery. Sounds awesome, even if I guessed wrong.
Not a fan of Duality 2 (too clicky, although i can imagine it could be useful with very low tuned guitars), however Duality 1 sounds pretty cool, it reminds me a bit of the prog metal extension.
Ha, nice! Just watched a Masterclass with Jacob today :D
Can’t wait for this SDX to be out for Superior Drummer. Awesome!
Hi, There will not be an SDX from this session.
@@toontrack ok .....please excuse me......@#$&! 😂 Too bad, I had the credit card in my hand already.
Hmmm…for Folk, Power and thrash metal: duality I or Dark matters? 🤔
Niceee
Duality 2 just Tight and Djenty!
How does he keep that wall of snares from resonating the snares when recording?
Great soundproofing in the studio and layout of the room.
I actually dampen the snare side of each drum with a piece of cardboard. No joke. Works great.
Is there any plans about make a Kevin/Kane Churko's SDX? Their records have a unique drum sound and it's not a jeneric/usual for metal sound. I definitely should buy this SDX if you'll make it
Hi, thanks for the suggestion! We'll make sure to forward this to our product development team.
Thought it wouldve been Buster Odeholm as the player
Am I the only one who keep hearing phase problems with the cymbals, espeically with duality II? I mean, that's such a great kit for me. It's as if I was mixing my own song, drums keep giving me problems with weird mids and treble then God just handed this to me: there you go, worry free.
We recommend contacting Toontrack tech support. There may be a library update that you need to install or midi from multiple sources.
Are you going to release Superior SDX library?
Hi, There are no plans for an SDX based solely on the Duality EZXs. But Duality I & II also works in Superior Drummer 3. Check 'em out and hope you enjoy them!
A shame there's no SDX for this one... I'll stay with Death & Darkness.
You can still use both expansions in SD3 with the extended tweakability!
@@robinleijon The lack of drum details, bleeds and rooms is what i meant. Rooms are as much important as the drum sound when mixing. Death is 110 Go. I doubt a 5 Go (10 for both) limited expansion could be as interesting as a full detailled expansion with so much possibilities.
yeah this is cool but there's already so many metal and rock drums to choose from you guys
