It's kinda cool when they say "... in one so bereft of light" and proceed to show the player characters using all sorts of "cheap" tricks to defeat the enemy, e.g bombs and daggers. It's probably not intentional but it's a cool detail.

This makes sense. It definitely wasn't miquela in that egg. We know because of the size. Either Mohg kidnapped Messmer on accident, mistaking him for Miquella somehow, or Miquella switched places with Messmer at some point. Maybe the new area is actually within Messmer, and Mohg used this ability to trap Miquella. We saw Mohg whisk away Muquella in the opening to Elden Ring, but we also saw Rykard getting "eaten" by a tiny snake, so those could be artistic interpretations of events. Either way, I could be wrong. Mohg definitely held the had as though it were Miquella's. Although, he could know that Miquella is somewhere on the other side of where the hand leads. In fact, It is quite possible Mohg is canonically still alive. He is quite skilled in creating clones of himself, just like Morgott, and the real one could be on the other side, while a powerful image of himself stays in the lands between to give orders and keep intruders away.

mhè.. great they spoiled all the DLC..., let's hope that there is a lot more weapon equipment with real unique patterns, varied armor, and that there is above all NO recycling bosses, mobs and maps like in the rest of Elden Ring...

It’s a souls game so it’ll probably be mid to late game when you start it
They've confirmed you need to fairly far in the game. It will, however, have a leveling system and difficulty system separate from the main game in order to maintain the challenge for extremely high level players. The entrance is in Mohgwyn Palace after the Mohg Lord of Blood boss fight. Which you cant access until you unlock the Consecrated Snowfields. Which is a late game area that is hidden and locked from you until you collect two medallions strung across the map. Needless to say if you havent played the game before it could take you dozens of hours to get to that point.

Lol Lords of the fallen only 2 player and 3rd player is an invader but advertised as 3 player co op so that's not a good example of a good co op game.
