Great video - I use quite a few of these. Two other tips:
    1) File Locksmith - checks which files are in use.. useful especially to see what is blocking a disk from being ejected or what files a process is locking.
    2) Powertoys Run - has many uses. I use it to quickly launch apps and files, as a quick calculator, starting/stopping services, finding registry keys and more
The power renamer is also good but takes a bit of work to get into.

Thank you, Leila, for this in-depth tutorial. I've been using power toys for a while and am attempting to demonstrate them to coworkers. As I need to do a lot of online training, I use the Focus on the mouse the most. The list of shortcuts is one I was unaware of. I'm familiar with some of them, but this is such a creative way to present them. Thank you very much...

It should be noted that if you install Power Toys, it will significantly increase your boot time at start-up.

I don't really use that much but will keep the software for future use. Thanks

My favorite power toy is using the Keyboard Manager to remap the F1-F12 keys to shortcuts.
You can find the customized keys file in the folder
    %localappdata%\Microsoft\PowerToys\Keyboard Manager
The keyboard settings can be shared as a json file. You could save a settings file for each application, for example.

Hi Leila, I always appreciate the content you share on this channel, it's amazing learning is endless.
I work in finance department, one of the thing that I am struggling with is to create and maintain a working calendar that have different color for different categories (at least 10 categories) and also shared among different team members for collaboration. Using excel is good, but involve too much manual intervention. Using sharepoint calendar has a limitation of showing more than few items on a certain day.
Not sure if you have some great idea to share on calendar management tips/tricks.

Fancy Zone is something I've been wanting for years. I found some third-party apps long time ago, but they did not were as integrated as I wish they would be, and I stopped using them.
I found some very nice, pretty advanced integrated tools on Linux, and I was wondering why Microsoft wouldn't catch up.

Thank you for another great reminder of the little things. I was disappointed that Microsoft eliminated Gadgets from Windows 10 and 11, and was even more disappointed that there was no option to display a floating image of clocks on the desktop. I ended up installing Gadgets on my Windows 10 machine because I work with people from five countries, and scheduling meetings is a mess. Microsoft allows adding two time zones to your computer clock, but this is limited in display and the number of clocks. Going backward to Gadgets solved the problem. I with they had it in Power Toys. Happy and healthy 2023!

Thank you for the video! I enjoyed how you constantly mentioned if something didn’t work you could go about it another way. Microsoft has been at it for 6 decades and they come out with software called Power Toys and they have to give you alternate ways of doing what they’re supposed to do! A few years back I bought an iPhone then I bought an Apple TV and all I had to do was hold my phone up to the Apple TV and it set itself up, no problems, no work arounds.

I love this collection, just like SysInternals, but this collection of tools is really good for everyday job life. I'm an architect and just changed to one of the biggest offices in germany and told the IT, include it into every station! Already I told my office before...this is so useful! The colorpicker for creatives..the renamer, new now i've read is an option to figure out processes that prevent a file from being accessed cause if "in use". Up to today i used process explorer from the sysinternals suite for this special problem of windows that occours from time to time, and with powertoys it's possible now too they say. i have to find out, good i remind me for that :DD
Oh..and the coolest, but also easiest and fastest way to install powertoys is thru winget per shell :)

I got one request: Could you maybe make a video about how to handle an invitation management with MS Forms? (or if you already did please be so kind and point me to it)
We are having a big event coming up and I am in charge to send out invites (200-300 Persons) for this function. I usually do this with the serial letter/mail function in MS Word in combination with MS Excel and Outlook. That works very well.
But the rsvp's I have to handle manually. I type the answers into Excel one by one. But couldn't this be easier done with an RSVP-Form link in the Invite? How would you do that?
If you find this a good topic for I video, I would be glad and really appreciate it.
