- In this weeks episode our van really starts to transform from an ugly duckling into a beautiful arctic swan. We continue work on the outside of the van installing the belly lockers, steps, recovery tracks, tank brackets and jerry can holders. We get the solar and roof rack on and are blown away by how much difference the sky light makes. This week we also introduce you to our boss and little Rae of sunshine, as per usual have 'help' from Brian and Jon rambles on about tools. Lets do this!

Quality build and quality video production. This is much better entertainment than any made for TV equivalent.
😂 cheers mate that’s much appreciated 👍
Your not wrong. Love the banter! ❤
@@markgaudie80 cheers mate 👍
The build quality is awesome, the quality tools make a difference 🛠⚒️🪛🔧🔨😂 Great content
Cheers Lewis, all jokes aside the tools make a huge difference, that’s why secretly I don’t mind him having so many…. But don’t tell him 😂
@truebluetravellers I understand I'm a mechanic, tools are my life
Really, really do don’t they…..think my ex has pilfered what good ones I did have 😢
And women spend shit loads on expensive shoes they only wear once and need a bigger wardrobe to fit them in and the the wardrobe must be a fancy designer one 😅
I like your channel. A handy man can never have too many tools. You both do very nice work! There's home made that looks home made and then there is art. You two have mastered the art.
That’s such a lovely compliment thank you
I can honestly say I didn’t want this episode to end! You two are great! 👍🏻
😂😂 thanks mate, lovely thing to say 👍
Me too. Tons better than all those antiques programs on tv. And the Saturday morning cooking bollocks. 🤣
@@SheardTV1 😂😂😂 cheers mate 👍
My delivery guy always puts my tools straight in shed lol🏴🤣
😂😂
This is looking so great, can't wait to see the interior next 😊
Thanks 😁 Me too Tracey should be so much easier than a van too with the square walls 👍
Outstanding vlog guys, the camera/editing work fantastic. Love the tool setup, and hay you can never enough tools... 😁Not many home workshops have tyre fitting machinery. The best part is the Sheela changing a tire without a man being present... 🤣🤣
Sheela, brilliant, 😂😂😂 yeah she’s a good old girl, gets stuck into everything 💪
Love that we got a tool talk Tuesday in this video! Looking forward to more of them!! Loving the build Series! Keep up the good work
😂 Cheers Dan much appreciated 👍
The van is coming along a treat. I am so jealous of the workshop and all those tools by the way.
Cheers Ivan, the workshop does make things so much easier I have to admit 😁
Is there no end to your talents! I think you should take up singing on a permanent basis! Lol you are both so funny I have to say John, you have slightly better behaved this time! I'm proud of you Love the van build Can't wait to see the end result 😊❤😂
😂😂😂 I have been told I should of been a singer a few times, I might take it up, got to be on best behaviour now sharon as I know your watching 😉😂
😂😂😂 I am watching lol
@sharonsegal9784 😂😂😂
You two are bloody funny. Love the build. X
So nice to hear it made you laugh, thank you 💙
Another brilliant build.and another great video, love the banter between you two always make me laugh .
As always love and blessings ❤️ 🙏
Thanks very much 💙
@@truebluetravellers always ♥️
I'm really loving this build! Very well paced video with a lot achieved on the van each time and some absolutely fantastic pieces of information! I had no idea that there were adapters available to use Makita et al batteries on a Dyson!! For caravanners like I who carry a drill for the steadies and a Dyson to clean the caravan and car of all the mud, grass and whatnot, this is absolutely brilliant!
Yeah neither did I mate and they are only I think £20 for the adapter, love it 😁
Cool wheels! They look sharp!
Crisp hey marky boy 👌
@@truebluetravellers The new Tires look very cool! It's a relatively low cost way to change the look and performance of the truck. Hopefully the Tire company will support your channel!
@@truebluetravellers what size wheels did you go for?
This is my first video of yours, how have i not found you sooner! Immaculate vibes, good stuff!
Thanks mate much appreciated 👍
My favourite time of the week!
Cheers mate 👍
This is so good. Awesome build, awesome people! This channel deserves 10x subscribers, and I don't think that's unreasonable to see happen in a year!! Keep smashing it guys
Well that’s lovely of you to say, much appreciated 😁👍
Brilliant. Always professionally done. Top notch work. I am positive your channel will grow fast.
Ah thanks so much Toby that’s lovely of you to say 💙
Can never have too many tools! So jealous of the workshop.
Cracking video as always and definitely our favourite people on UA-cam at the minute.
Cheers mate, much appreciated, the workshop sure does make life so much easier 👍
What a breath of fresh air! Has to be my best find vloggers in ages. Jack's of all trades, totally entertaining & watchable. A really lovable couple. I'm so looking forward to a weekend binge session of your vlogs guys.. ❤
Hi Paul, that’s such an incredibly kind thing to say, means a lot to us. Thanks for watching 💙
Absolutely lovin' this build. Having done 3 buses, we know of the effort. The old delivery truck is starting to look an absolute treat. My wife has been foĺlowing along too and now i can't stop her getting her guns out. Super Di,(super nurse). All the very best from Queensland down under. Glen and Di.
Yes Di, you little legend!! 💪💪💪💪 thanks so much guys we really appreciate it 💙
Just come across your channel. Very enjoyable watching on a wet Saturday morning. Keep up the great work .
Thanks 😁, although not good that it’s a wet morning for you, 🤞 it stays dry here then so we can get on with cabinets 😁
Don't forget to subscribe 😊, hello from Milwaukee Wisconsin 🧀🐄🇺🇲
I'm only up in fife and it's never stopped. I have subscribed. Looking forward to many more great episodes
@@Mark.G475are you a brewers fan?
@@bathgate2198 yes, my favorite Team are the Green Bay Packers!🧀. A watch a little bit of Baseball ⚾.
This is my first time but definitley not my last!
You two are halarious, informative, and it comes off that if you two were the last on earth, you'd be quite content in each others space!
You have shown the world that a couple working together can be very productive, & fun!
Thanks very much that’s lovely of you to say 😊
Can never have enough spanners or tools a must have, great video guys new subscriber.
Cheers mate, another one on my tool team 👍
Been eagerly awaiting this episode and it didn't disappoint. The best quality and most professional UK build I've watched. Are you going to install water recycling filters? There was a Stateside build I watched last year where the chap used 7 filters to recycle shower water on a continuous loop!
Although I like Snap-On Sunday, it's limiting. Tool Talk Tuesday is far more versatile and should be a playlist on this channel. Either YT Shorts or 3-5 minute videos. 😊
Thanks so much that’s such a kind thing to say. A recycling water system is something that’s intriguing for sure, but we aren’t putting one in this build, it’s one on the list for another build for sure though.
He’s not careful it will be a find a new girlfriend Fridays 😂😂😂 only messing I love the tools too… just not quite in the same way as Jon 😂
Even I've got tool envy 😂 Look at the size of that adjustable wrench 🔧 😮
😂😂😂 I’ve never seen him use it 🤦♀️
It’s looking great. Can’t wait to see how it finishes up. Tools and motorcycles…can’t ever have too many 😂
Yep tools and bikes, best 2 things a man can own 👍
Wonderful vlog - great pace, very informative, detailed description, contents with clear descriptions of each section, high quality work, great guns and a super tool!
Looking forward to this build, it is shaping up really well
Are you planning to make cabinets in the workshop then bring them in through the garage door? That might make building them easier (and show more tools!)
I have to disapprove of unused tools though - only a real tool would buy a tool just to look at it ;-)
So the challenge for Jon is to prove he actually has a use for all those tools ...
Hi Tom, we will be part building the cabinets out of the van and bringing them in through the side door, we made sure it was big enough to get things through. I like this challenge Tom, feel like I should raise the stakes, anything he can’t prove he’s used has to get rehomed 😂😂😂
Hi guys. Would the Dakan boxes work as a battery box? I have a build project on which I need to mount 2x 100ah leisure batteries on top of a tank and was looking for an affordable way of doing it.
Yeah I can’t see what not Dave they are quite thick plastic so all I would do is put a bit of wood on the base of it to spread the load that’s all 👍
Wow, incredible work! If you haven't made this series and told me you bought it from factory, I wouldn't have known. You guys make an exceptional dream team! Keep up the fantastic work you're truly amazing!
Well what a lovely comment, thanks very much that’s a lovely thing of you to say 💙💙💙
Best channel on youtube right now! Keep up the good work.
Wow, thanks so much, that’s really lovely of you to say 💙💙
Just watching this this morning, and saw you talking about the solar and how it might be affected by the lack of sunlight. Never seen it done, but is it possible to use a wind generator of some type on a van? Especially when moving would this not add to your generation of power?
Hi Henry, this is an interesting idea, something we’ve never thought of either 🤔
@@truebluetravellersI was in a marina recently and one was installed on a boat also with a small solar panel just to keep things ticking over when not being sailed. If people can carry a star link setup I think a small wind turbine could be the go.
I was wondering if there would be issues with motorway speeds on a vehicle mounted wind turbine etc?
@@allegrosotto2126 very interesting I wonder why no one has thought of this for campers 🤔
@@henrycopeland7316 I’d expect a turbine be removed for travelling, reckon this bloke could devise an appropriate mount.
I love my Festool CT 26. the big brother of the midi. Festool Friday!
Never knew that you could get a battery adapter for the Dyson, I have had to replace our. so Nice tool tip.
The build is coming along nicely. The Sika Flex 221 is bloody good stuff, I have used a similar product by CT1 which has been holing my solar panels to my motorhome roof for the last three years.
I have a tube in the motorhome garage for any job that is required of it along with super glue. As I have had to bodge the intercooler pipe as ours strangely had a very neat split in it. so used the super glue for the quick grab and the CT1 to really seal it up. followed by gaffa tape to hold its shape whilst it all cures. til I got home to replace the pipe.
Looking forward to next weeks video to see the progress. As it has been very impressive so far.
Cheers mate, I only recently found out about the Bosch adapter and they are only about £20 too so win win! Liking your style, you’d make a good MacGyver!!
Love that tip thanks 👍🏻
@@truebluetravellers I will look for one for Dewalt as they are my main cordless tool.
I do like to find solutions to problems if I can.
I A few years back when we swapped our tent for a fiberglass box. We had to fill our water tank from inside and would take an age as we didn't take a funnel. So I decide that I would Gerry rig a pump that I could use to fill up via the water fill point. from our Water hog. So I cobbled together a cheap fuel pump for fuel transfers and an adapter pipe for the Water Hog. Which worked a treat as long as it picked it up as it wasn't quite powerful enough to pump the water in from the floor. So last year I upgraded the pump to a Whale water pump and that has made a huge difference. Our Friend has since do a similar thing as he was borrowing my set up. I added a 12v socket into the the toilet cassette housing which is also where I store the pump as there is a cavity where I have enough room to store things need for water of on form or another.
As we don't watch TV when we are away I converted the TV cupboard to have a box that sets on the old rotor base so that we can pull it out and turn it round to put in food that needs to stay a bit cooler as the cupboard above the fridge is a bit of a hot box when we are off grid and running it off gas.
Still not sure how I stumbled upon your channel but very glad I did. The entertainment value alone is worth the sub never mind the tips and tricks.
Just commenting for the algorithm really. Looking forward to the next episode
The comment is very much appreciated, and your kind words too 😁 welcome to our channel 💙
I was going to start installing insulation and flooring in my 17 seater minibus camper conversion this weekend and, seeing how you did it, have changed my plan! We literally use the rivets to hold stuff in place whilst sealant dries. Strong stuff!
I do like the door between cab and body!
Yeah I thought that might of been the case as when I pulled the lashing rings off in the back they were solid but only used sikaflex and normal rivets, crazy how strong sikaflex is
