Not only that, but you even provide an email address for people to contact you to ask where you got certain items! That is absolutely fantastic! So many channels on UA-cam will not share this information. I understand people wanting to keep finances private and also information about certain items that are one-offs or not readily available, but I can't get my head around why people won't share information about things anyone can order online or buy at a shop. The both of you differentiate with your honesty and transparency and as a result, I sincerely hope that your channel deservedly grows massively. An Epic Build for Epic upcoming adventures far and wide. Jon did miss a trick of adding one last Tool talk Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing you first real trip away. I have started to look at Supermarket Delivery Vans in a very different light and it looks like it is only the Sainsbury van and possibly Waitrose Van, not had on stop long enough to have a proper look round. the Box looks to be slightly longer too. I thought you were in Sandringham before you said that was were you were. Spent a far bit of time wondering around there with my Girls before they started to not want to do days out like that. It won't be long before they start to not want to come away with us. I think they now use proper Auto boxes on Sprinters now after the problems that sprint shift. Our is finally going into a Garage in Monday to have the Gearbox issue sorted and whilst they have it fix an oil leak and change the rear shocks as they are very crusty, and my drive isn't the best place to be jacking up the Motorhome to change them myself.
Ah brilliant glad she getting sorted mate, although I’ll keep my fingers crossed still untill u get the dreaded phone bill call, love Sandringham, we used to walk the dog there most weekends 😁
@@truebluetravellers Not expecting it to be cheap. Labour will run the cost up. Especially because of the awkward to work on factor with it being an A Class Motorhome, changing the headlight bulbs is a major faff, and it easier to buy new mounting lugs and just thump out the unit and replace broken lugs when about to refit it. As you have to get past the remains of the old inner wings before you hit the void to the side of them where the lights are housed. What you gain in space on the inside without the length you pay for when thing need fixing in the engine bay.
I’m sure there are other non van people like me who have really enjoyed watching this build (thanks YT algorithm 😂). Thanks Amelia, yep that’s going to be the big test, the water, hopefully all the water doesn’t freeze as it’s inside, the pressure is quite good and yeah we will keep you updated as we go on the trip, the hot water tank is 10l so should be plenty for both in the shower as we always have to use water sparingly anyway due to it being quite hard to source sometimes, it’s a case of rinse off soap up and rinse off so yeah definitely a compromise but to be honest most things in the van are , the shower room is a bit of a luxury in a camper but this one is definitely the biggest shower room we have had so should be good hopefully 😁
J&J and Amelia.....I also follow Dan (Australian / Canadian) on 'The Road Chose Me' YT channel. Dan is also planning an Artic adventure and his Jeep is currently being prepped up for this. It would be great if J&J..a.k.a TBT links up with him. Cheers!

Looks like a great build and I like the fact you have a walk through. It will cut down on a lot of the noise especially when on rougher roads. Great build!
Cheers mate, yeah the crawl through is brilliant, to be honest so far we don’t really use the side door, we just get in through the crawl through, saves on heat loss too 👌
Hi you two, you have both done a fantastic job on the van.Looking forward to watching all the adventures your going to get up to. Not sure about Arctic myself lol but stay safe and have a fabulous time x
Great build and great videos, you have been my Saturday morning guilty pleasure with a coffee. Keep up the the really enjoyable content as you guys are naturals. You have provided me with some great ideas and extreme tool envy!
John just noticed an oversight.. you've no lights on the step over door inside storage boxes.. u could of also modded front bumper with lower foglights as u got the blanks & maybe the thin reflective orange side red rear marker tape for safety... also carry a broom to brush off snow.. looking forward to the journey ahead.!!! P.s u upgrade headlights to Nighteye LEDs wouldn't matter if u left them on as wouldn't get a flat battery... plus brighter!!!
Cheers mate all the wiring is there for side markers so might integrate them at some point. We’ve got a snow shovel which switches head to be snow broom and scraper 👍
@@truebluetravellers just make sure markers are not a legal requirement also reflectors over certain height for route your travelling especially in a snow storm u don't wanna be rear ended.. they do switchable orange white marker strips & orange red white etc on sides u have a nice 2 or 3m marker light in orange & switchable to an indicator.. other wire makes them white so u could use like a perimeter light.. switchable side marker strips & on rear they do full tail lights but 4ft strips u could run up edges to double up lower lights.. tail reverse indicator or brake/fog depending how u wire it.. just nice to be safe as it's not u it's the others u got2 watch out for so make yourself visable as possible... especially as your "white on white..."
Try and get a second camper that is fully equipped to your specifications in perfect technical order, no repair, brand new interior ready to go for 25 grand, I don't think so. You will never find anything like it... so you saved money. On top of that and this is the big one. You did it together and created memory's to treasure for the rest of your life and by doing that, created video evidence of the howl process helping others wist providing entertainment for all to watch. If that isn't a cool thing, I don't no what is. I have therapy enjoyed the journey with you watching you build your camping van and wish you the best holidays possible in it in the future. Can't wait for the next build.....😊
Congratulations on achieving such a high end finish. This series has been a great insight into van building and very entertaining too. I must however highlight one serious issue I have with your layout - your bed/cooker arrangement doesn't allow for a lazy morning cuppa in bed 😮 😮😢.
Thanks very much mate, I know it’s a travesty. We had originally planned the layout of the sink and cooker the other way but wouldn’t work with the tap. Thought about a fold away tap but I wash my hair in the sink a lot to save water to in the end it was the morning brew that got the chop
Again, great job. I'm building a van conversion at the moment, it's a lot nicer if you can build it yourself, you have it just the way you want it 🤔 hopefully. Look forward to seeing your Scotland trip, we love Scotland and we live in Cornwall, bit of a trec, but it's worth it. 😀😀
What a fantastic job you two have done great videos and the banter makes the channel so much fun to watch love it can’t wait for all your next videos/expeditions I’ll certainly be glued to watching them {ps noticed them motorcycles in the background are they yours are you both into motorcycling} take care keep safe enjoy many happy adventures 👍👍👋
Cheers mate, yeah so I have been into bikes all my life really and Jess loves getting on the back, hopefully get some adventures on the bike next year for the videos 👍
What an amazing job you have done and for a really good price. I live in a motorhome already builtup and if i had to change i would do build exactly like you did. You are so professional and funny its a treat to watch your videos, i wish you the best .
Just got rid of my 69 plate sprinter auto was a good van overall never had to replace much apart from wear and tear if you put accelerator to pressure plate on floor on motorway then push beyond this again so pedal on actual floor puts it in sport mode lol gears drop turbo sounds with dump .Also if you push the brake pedal hard when stationary it should put the van on hold without needing to use handbrake....i ran this van 210000 miles .Delivery of my 73 plate in 2 weeks🏴
Nice, I had the new sprinter for work and really like them, not that I don’t like the older ones but the newer ones are just like more of a car drive again 👍
Although a few months ago, I just found the entire build, fantastic start to finish, many congratulations. What a great girl Jess is, mad as a box of frogs of course, what is so wrong with a bungee.😂 Safe travels 😊
Excellent conversion. My only worry is that the bottom of the bed when it is pulled out is very close to the gas hob. I hope you looked at making it fire resistant and have a working smoke alarm.
I would recommend getting the 100K mile service performed including a timing belt, new water pump, thermostat, new engine pulleys and belt tensioner, oil change, transmission and brake service, etc. Also, be sure to pack spare accessory belts, hoses, fluids and other spare parts in case of problems in the wild.
Thanks very much, I’m so lucky to have Jon as a mechanic to travel with. He gave it a good going over before we left and has packed a good set of tools and equipment 😊

@@truebluetravellers I have enjoyed your build videos very much fantastic camera presenters and very funny too
Lots of love to you both
Very good. Great way to finish the video.
😂 thanks 😁
Looks like a great build and I like the fact you have a walk through. It will cut down on a lot of the noise especially when on rougher roads. Great build!
Cheers mate, yeah the crawl through is brilliant, to be honest so far we don’t really use the side door, we just get in through the crawl through, saves on heat loss too 👌
Love the van, love your videos.
Congratulations. I'll love to have one as cosy as yours.
Lot's of good ideas.
Thank you.
That’s so nice of you thanks so much 💙💙
Hi you two, you have both done a fantastic job on the van.Looking forward to watching all the adventures your going to get up to. Not sure about Arctic myself lol but stay safe and have a fabulous time x
Oh thanks ever so much 💙💙 We can’t wait heading off today 🎉🎉
Great build and great videos, you have been my Saturday morning guilty pleasure with a coffee. Keep up the the really enjoyable content as you guys are naturals. You have provided me with some great ideas and extreme tool envy!
Thanks James, much appreciated mate 👍👍
I have really enjoyed this series. The build is amazing. I particularly liked how you've done walk through. Brilliant job 👏👏👏
Thanks very much mate, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Short and sweet with all the info expected. Fun episode, thanks.
Cheers mate 👍
Massive congratulations on the van build its been a blast watching you build it from start to finish 🙌🏻🙌🏻. Looking forward to seeing where you go 🫶🏻
Cheers mate 👍
Team j j …. Now that’s were it’s at ……safe travels ❤
😂😂 thanks 😁💙
What a lovely thing to say thank you, we love having the memories of doing it and that it’s helpful to people. Can’t wait to get out on the road!
I had to get a kind friend to take time out of his day and explain the word plethora to me, it means a lot .
😂😂😂😂 Bahaha 10/10 😂
Great build guys. Enjoy
Cheers Mike 👍
Congratulations on achieving such a high end finish. This series has been a great insight into van building and very entertaining too. I must however highlight one serious issue I have with your layout - your bed/cooker arrangement doesn't allow for a lazy morning cuppa in bed 😮 😮😢.
Thanks very much mate, I know it’s a travesty. We had originally planned the layout of the sink and cooker the other way but wouldn’t work with the tap. Thought about a fold away tap but I wash my hair in the sink a lot to save water to in the end it was the morning brew that got the chop
I was looking for many conversions and this is exactly what I need. Thank you for sharing and straight away I'm start looking for same sort of van.
Thanks very much 😊👍👍
Again, great job. I'm building a van conversion at the moment, it's a lot nicer if you can build it yourself, you have it just the way you want it 🤔 hopefully. Look forward to seeing your Scotland trip, we love Scotland and we live in Cornwall, bit of a trec, but it's worth it. 😀😀
Exactly mate, we bought a motorhome first, lasted 2 weeks before we sold it to build our own, like u say it’s just exactly the way you want it 👍
Fantastic video on how to build a camper van out of a panel van . Wow, it turned out absolutely beautiful. ❤
Thanks very much 💙
What a fantastic job you two have done great videos and the banter makes the channel so much fun to watch love it can’t wait for all your next videos/expeditions I’ll certainly be glued to watching them {ps noticed them motorcycles in the background are they yours are you both into motorcycling} take care keep safe enjoy many happy adventures 👍👍👋
Cheers mate, yeah so I have been into bikes all my life really and Jess loves getting on the back, hopefully get some adventures on the bike next year for the videos 👍
I’m only 1 minute in and you are delivering big time…pardon the pun!
😂😂😂😂
Looks fab but the only criticism would be swapping the sink for the cooker so you don't set light to your bedding 😁
Thanks, yeah that was the original plan but unfortunately can’t do it that way as the slide out bed would hit the tap 👍
I've said this before, but what a great build 😊
Cheers mate 👍👍👍
What an amazing job you have done and for a really good price. I live in a motorhome already builtup and if i had to change i would do build exactly like you did. You are so professional and funny its a treat to watch your videos, i wish you the best .
That’s such a great compliment thank you 💙 hopefully she works as well as we hope 😀
😂😂😂😂 cheers mate, I think she’s come round to the idea now 😂👍
looking forward to you guys coming to Scotland. hopefully youll get to dundee and come up the lawhill for the view..weather permitting.
Thanks we can’t wait to explore 😁
These two should be presenters! The video work and explanation is spot on. Well done both Subbed.
That’s a really lovely compliment thank you 💙 thanks for the sub too appreciate it
brilliant van conversion guys, lots of room and practical too.
Thanks very much 😁
You two are so enjoyable to watch Thank you.
Thanks for the compliment and thanks for watching 😁😁😁
Excellent conversion.
My only worry is that the bottom of the bed when it is pulled out is very close to the gas hob. I hope you looked at making it fire resistant and have a working smoke alarm.
It looks quite close in the pic but quite a big gap to be honest, but yep got a smoke alarm too 👍👍
Brilliant van build and I loved the bloopers. 🤣 Best wishes, Colin. 👍
😂😂😂 thanks Colin 😁
I would recommend getting the 100K mile service performed including a timing belt, new water pump, thermostat, new engine pulleys and belt tensioner, oil change, transmission and brake service, etc. Also, be sure to pack spare accessory belts, hoses, fluids and other spare parts in case of problems in the wild.
Thanks very much, I’m so lucky to have Jon as a mechanic to travel with. He gave it a good going over before we left and has packed a good set of tools and equipment 😊
I can't believe you did such a quality job for so little money. Can't wait to see the Scottish adventure, then Norway.
Thanks very much mate 💙we can’t wait to get going and really test it out!
You have made yourself a fabulous home there, really well designed and built. 👍🏻
Thanks very much 😁
