- How do we take our design sketches to the next level? How do we make them pop? How do we make them shout? Here are a few of the answers for the product/industrial designer's toolkit.
If you're feeling generous, I'd very much appreciate the support - www.buymeacoffee.com/productdm - thank you very much!

For me, art has gotten really tiresome and laborious. Your objective approach to design sketching is really refreshing in comparison. This was super informative and deserves so many more views!
Thank you very much. Good to hear!
These videos are great. Instructive and relaxing at once. Thank you!
Very kind!
Im practicing to become a car designer and you gave a lot of helpfull tips thath can be used in every type of design, thank you very much!
Jesus Jose Castillo Vilchez it’s a real pleasure. Thanks for getting in touch.
I'm not good to show my designs on paper and college doesn't really give tips or teach but expects top results. I stumbled upon your channel and am already on video number3! Giving me a lot of detailed tips and motivation that I need 🧡🧡
Music to my ears (though I'm sad you don't get great teaching at college)!
I'm studying to become a secondary teacher, but freehand design sketching is something I'd really love to hone on. Thanks so much for these videos.
It’s a pleasure. Do as much talking to the students with a pen or pencil as you can, and you’ll soon become awesome at it!
I AM a secondary teacher and this is helpful for me and my students :)
Samantha Oehley that’s great to hear. Thank you.

Wow, this is so pleasing to watch! Amazing talent. Always wanted to have these skills but my scamping is just dreadful in comparison. Do you do car concept designs too?
Thank you!! No cars, yet! Not in my repertoire sadly!
Very Good

Alexander Johnston brilliant. It’s a pleasure!

Ben B thank you!
@product design maker. Where is the best place to pick up copics?
Ben B UK based? You can try www.copic-shop.co.uk, but otherwise, a google search will throw up some competitive suppliers.
Ok thank you! You have got my sub
Thank you for sharing the knowledge. What kind of paper are you using in this video? Given your approach of not trying to do artwork, do you bother with "marker paper"?
Thank you for your support. Very well spotted on the paper approach…. Mostly I try to use photocopier paper to make the process accessible to all. If I’m working on something a bit more critical, I’ll use marker paper to avoid the bleed and add vibrancy to my work. I did a ‘doodling’ video recently in my little notebook - it bleeds a little bit the vibrancy of colour is almost non-existent.
Yay
Yay!!
Your like/dislike ratio says it all!
SEM8848 thank you 😁
Great video, from be lines on paper to 3D objects. I don’t see the shadows of the pencils
