Great to hear! Hope it was useful in any way possible
this is how i express myself. couldn't be happier to find your channel Harry. wow
this helped a lot! hope I could learn from your vids more!
I would love it if you start online classes! Because this is something that is not taught to us in colleges. We are told to learn these skills ourselves but having a mentor like you can boost an industrial design student's confidence! Love your videos! hope to see more such content! Thank you!!
I just started industrial design a while ago, this is an extremely useful video, I'll keep watching, thanks
Nice video! I am currently in architecture, but I am considering switching majors to industrial design. Your videos on point.
Very good video. Thanks mate 🏆👏👏👏
Awesome work!
Very useful video! Thanks!
I like your Eames' recliner & other chair. The sketches, obviously. Thank you for your post!
these are great! I'm a character concept artist and want to get more into designing props quickly and these tips are REALLY helping!
Amazing!!!

I watched this video over and over again. A lot of useful tips ( and such soothing voice)
Great video. Only five years? I feel like you're really proficient after only five years. I started yesterday 😁 started with earbuds. Keep going man and thanks for the video.

Hi, I really like your videos. Very great job!! And I'm curious about the sketchbook. Could you please share what kind of these papers and books is?
❤ Harry, Thank You.
please make some more videos ...your videos are so good
I just ordered the paper mate flair pen =D
Hii, your literally my savior. I have a question. If you work with rhino do you have a tutorial on that ? :))
It's nice I saw it
nice vedio
the smoothness and confidence of the lines o.o :)
what kind of markers do you use?
Bics/biro's do work well with marker, Chartpaks play very nicely and don't interact, thus you get no feathering. It's why chartpak are my go to marker...They just play well with everything.
For the message at the beginning:❤
Love your intro message mate
How many time should i pructics every day?
How do you recommend I get back into sketching to try to get into the industry if I work 50hrs a week
Hola nos podrías dejar una 📃 lista con la descripción de los materiales que usaste en este vídeo por favor
Nice sketching. What paper were you using in order to see the underlay? I just bought a sketchbook but the paper weight is too thick to see through for tracing. Thanks
I am not sure what paper hes using, but my Industrial design class has been advised to get Zeta pads as they are thinner n show overlay for tracing! hope that helps.
Any brand of layout paper will work

Any tips on overcoming perfectionism when learning to sketch?
So obviously my answer here doesn't apply to all sketching styles, and I am still a beginner artist, but one thing that helps me parry perfectionism is I immediately use multiple light strokes to begin the sketch. For example is you need to sketch a circle I draw probably 20 light pressure circles, then I start applying more pressure once I see the average shape of those lighter lines.
By doing it this way, I only need to be concerned with that final darker line being perfect, not the dozens of lighter practice strokes. Plus, those dozens of lighter strokes act as an average shape or guide or sorts that I can use the "corral" my darker lines.
If I try too hard to minimize the number of lines in my sketch I immediately become obsessed with those lines needing to be perfect, so by starting my sketch with dozens of light "sloppy" lines, the sketch is already imperfect, therefore I no longer have to worry about future lines not being perfect either. They'll never be perfect, so trying to make them perfect is definitely an exercise in futility.
@@Kolton88 yeah i'm the same, thanks for the tips!
Great comment Patrick! An interesting topic, I’m looking to record a new video this weekend that will somewhat cover this 👍🏻
@@HarryChapmanDesign that would be great because I get frustrated and then want to scrunch up and bin my work
What's the annual income of an industrial designer
Very helpful video!
6:14 What kind of gray is that COPIC?

We have two harry the first is potter and the second is our designer
Любопытно, то что гуру футуризма Сид Мид, в скетчах активно использовал линейку и лекала. А цвета добивался при помощи гуаши. У вас очень хорошая подача материала. Спасибо! 👍

Why is this woman trying to preach to me about politics?
Nice video, good tips, but I really wish you’d keep the BLM stuff out as it has nothing to do with the video and doesn’t actually make any new points or give new info. Again though, I like the video and don’t think any less of you, just a suggestion.
If you have a problem with him using his platform to create awareness of social injustice when so many have no voice then it's already clear where you stand on the matter.
Russel Budnik I find your response to be ignorant and zealous. I don’t have a problem with him supporting what he wants as I do, however, I do have a problem with politically segregating his content. I don’t support blm, and I don’t owe you or anyone else an explanation why I do not.
Agreed keep that shit out of art videos. If I wanted to go be al BLM I’d find a video for that.

Hi, one of those hardware questions... I've been looking for a good sketchbook with tooned pappers, like the one you showed breefly. Where can I get one? Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry the beginning of the video killed it for me. Promoting violent groups should be a crime.
