Loooove Sheena! I've been a fan since my early childhood... I was like 6 or 7 when I started listening to her! I remember singing to "Try A Little Tenderness" and "You Could've Been With Me" and I was in heaven! Love you, Sheena baby! Always , Nick
To look at Sheena in back in 1981 then again in 1991 , she looked absolutely stunning and reflective of the times. One of the most beautiful women ever to grace the stage ❤❤
👍👍👍
Indeed..
IMO her most underrated song. This song represents the two months of freedom that I had between graduating high school and shipping off to the Air Force.
Should’ve been at least Top 10!
Being so gorgeous and so incredibly talented at the same time should be illegal!
The face, the body, the voice... What's not to love about Sheena Easton?
Sheena Easton will always be one of the best female pop singers of all time :)
Sheena was absolutely beautiful here. The best she ever looked. Compare this to the Morning Train days from Scottland with the short hair. I would have never guessed she would make this transformation. Miss you Sheena!
Definitely looks sexy with longer hair :)
I agree, and she looked amazing also in "The Lover In Me" =)
She's Scottish???
@@Soyuz2578 Yep. On her earlier works, the Scottish accent is real prevalent, especially on We've Got Tonight when she starts singing her first verse.
Such a beautiful woman. Could be the most beautiful woman in the music industry
Bought this as a cassette single back in 1991 and still listening in 2022!! Can't believe this song is now 31 years old!! The song actually performed well here in Australia, where it peaked at Number 4 on the Australian singles charts (ARIA Charts).
How about 2024?
Still a bloody great track by Sheena...
@@matthewfernando2825 Too right!
@@denisespencer6550 Yep, had another listen just the other day! Haha!
Have all her CDs, and at 51 I never get tired of listening to her even still. A great and fabulous voice.
Same here 54 years old and literally have everything Sheena put out!! I can’t understand how Sheena and Teena Marie weren’t huge like artist like Madonna, Janet, Mariah and Whitney!! Sheena and Teena had such great vocals!!! Go figure!!!
@@Teenasboy50 the only thing I can't seem to find is a song called "I f Your Happy"
If you know where I can purchase it on CD or vinyl let me know please.
@Daniel Kiel It’s actually on a import video game from Japan called “Cover Morning Musume Hello! Project” It’s on Amazon for 34.99!! The song was never put out on cd unfortunately!!
@@Teenasboy50 dang that sucks I really liked that 1
I love her voice of all the other artists around today and yesterday. She hits the those high notes with no effort what so ever!
Sheena Looks Beautiful 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Bring this music back! Love Sheena!
Roxanne, this album was released on iTunes in August 2021.
I'm so glad I got to see her twice in a small venue in Vegas. I couldn't get enough of this gorgeous! talented! girl/woman. She was fantastic! Awesome! And so close I could almost touch her! What a thrill ~
I don't care what anyone say's she's still got it.
This song and Vanessa Williams "Running Bsck To You" were my jams....🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sheena Easton she was very beautiful woman and she had pretty voice...one of the best woman singers fom the magical 80s but the 90s.... fade away...so sad.
Lasse 1964 I noticed it with the My Cherie album, the label didn't promote her the way they had previously
She adopted her kids at this point. Her focus changed.
@@moonraker30 exactly....
Sheena didn't just fade away. It was the New Jack Swing genre that faded away. After the very early 1990s the same thing happened to other big name artists like Paula Abdul and Karyn White too. R&B music changed again in the mid 1990s. The albums that Sheena released after this one reversed course, not just to pop, but to stardust mode. No Strings, My Cherie, Freedom, and Home were not the type of music that people who bought Lover in Me were interested in. She tried to return to dance music with Fabulous many years later, but that album was the least successful of her career. Why?
I suspect that Sheena lacked artistic direction after the huge success of Lover In Me. She had big hits when she had producers like Prince and Babyface and LA Reid behind her. She had the looks and the talent, but the songs on 'What Comes Naturally' just didn't have any salt. The label didn't like this album and didn't promote it at all. The club DJs didn't like it either. So, it flopped. None of the songs on any of the albums she did after Lover in Me had Top 40 potential, and she had to have known this. Her Top 40 career would definitely have gone on longer if she had hooked up with her former producers. But, a couple other things were happening at around this time as she has often said in interviews: She was in yet another failing marriage, and she was in the process of adopting children... I think she really didn't care all that much about being a Top 40 performer anymore.
@@FallacyAsPraxis All of that is true and she has also went on record as saying adopting those kids kept her sane. I feel sorry for her though that she never did find a husband who could treat her like a princess or a queen.
Here she challenged Belinda Carlisle as the most beautiful female singer of the 80's ❤❤ l love both girls equally!!
As beautiful as she is here, her voice is even more beautiful. Long live Sheena!
I loved her music it takes me back to the good days when music was real
Her voice is so amazing! She tears through this awesome song - one of a kind artist :)
Sheena was fine as hell
This is just a great memorie from 1991 when i listening this music.
I come home from work at 1h30 in the morning and turn on tv and this video start.
I was a great fan of Shenna becouse she is a soo good singer.
Today i,m 50 and my life was runing on clock , i never seen this video again .
Great memorie and a great women she is.
Soo good to find this video again.
Sheena looked beautiful in the 80s with a gorgeous body & gorgeous legs.
Haven't heard this song in many a moon.Sheena is Thermo Nuclear hot in this video.Man I miss the 80s and 90s.
So much hairspray. She looks totally fabulous! #Love it
Slick, tight, funky, melodic and well-arranged/produced. Sheena sings to the song, and keeps her formidable vocal firepower restrained. It works in this high-tech (for the time) new-jack setting. The focus is on the melody and tune; she brings it with a ton of smoldering heat.
So suggestive yet classy. This is great pop music.
This is smut
this has been her last smash until today and she has never looked that stunning
Love Sheena! Let's Get Together And Do What Comes Naturally.
LOVE it when Sheena does those shoulder shrugs!!!!! :):)
Her eye movements were just as attractive as well.
Back then singers actually sang she was the bomb.
She has one of the best female voices of the last 50 years. I think she still tours, too.
Yes agreed, Sheena Easton can sing her Scottish ass off, and she was beautiful. With that beautiful soprano voice. Her soprano kinda reminds me of the late great Teena Marie.
Ahem.. Milli Vanilli.
From the Sheena from "Machinery" of 1982 to this sexier Sheena there is a very big distance
One of my top 10 Ladies of the Eighties.
That bit with the bangs at the end... Priceless!
Sheena Easton went from 'Morning Train' to 'What Comes Naturally', 'Strut', and 'Lover in Me' putting to shame any and all followers in terms of smokin' hot sexy! At the time it was considered 'racy', now it's considered smoldering sexual confidence with a touch of tease. One of the hottest female singers of our generation (sorry, Janet still takes the top spot), but I listen to Sheena almost daily on my commute.
Queen Janet 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
She was girl next door who grew up
AHHH someone that could actually sing...without auto tune...
Definitely a hidden 90s classic
Always loved this song and the album it is on as well ....Sheena is Amazing!
She's just gorgeous in this video. Too bad her looks and appearance peaked after her popularity in the music business. She got sexier as she got older.
Agreed and longer hair suits her too
Totally agree
Shwing!
@@1981mrdavid party on Garth!
Dug the song, dug the video even more, never thought she looked more beautiful
I agree wholeheartedly
I’ve never noticed until this song how much her voice sounds like Tina Marie’s!
I love this song and the video. I miss the days when the artists were actually talented and can sing.
Got a whole lot sexier in 10 years since 1980 Morning Trains!
More provocative, but not sexier.
Absolute SMOKE Show and a great singer
there are 5 great songs on this cd love ❤❤❤❤❤ it 2024
I loved her album. Man I miss music like this.
Sheena Easton was a bad chick back then.
Who else thinks her silver outfit is accompanied by her hottest hair style? Also, DAMN she rocks that green dress.
I think I prefer her in the black tank top outfit.
@@kirkcather3670 She looked insanely good regardless of which outfit she had on!
@@chrisauten2039 That is true. Not too many women could get away with the short hair and then donning a yellow rainjacket like she did in Modern Girl or that Yellow button down shirt she wore in Sugar Walls.
Just 1 of Sheena's Best !!! 👍🏻
That time will never come back 💔💔
Happy 62nd Birthday Sheena Shirley Easton!(Born April 27, 1959)😃🎂🎉🎊🎈🎁🍾🥂💖🌷🌹💐🎀👍👏🙌
What a beautiful woman, my goodness.
Back in late 80s and early 90's it was al about bright cross colors. I remember liking this song after, The lover in me. I dont think it was as big a hit tho. I do remember seeing her perform it live on tv.
Anthony Dixon that's cuz it wasn't anywhere near as good of a song as The Lover In Me lol
RealDielawn... my thoughts exactly
Miner hit. If you guys remember Shadoe Stevens American Top 40 days, this song went as far up as #17, before falling back down to #22.
Sheena sure knew how to rock a guys world! Love her sultry bedroom eyes and the sexy hair toss at 3:35 I'm surprised the lens on the camera didn't melt during this shoot.
Prince was such a great influence for her.
This is not produced by Prince. It does not sound a bit like Prince. Probably they hoped it would but actually it doesn't and eventually it flopped.
@@alfabeth4236 babyface was working with her
Sheena's last big hit, She had a good run!
One of the sexiest music videos ever!!!
let's bring back the good music for real. love it
I think I do recall this on MTV and radio...should have gone much bigger
Looks better in this video than 80s. My favorite Sheena tune except Strut
I love Strut, but she has far too many good songs that it is impossible to pick one.
I have always imagined two Sheenas, one sweet and candid from the 80s with short hair and another sensual and daring one with different makeup and songs as well as more elaborate haircuts in the 90s.
The Prince Effect...
@@garyaugustus690 indeed
she went straight up r&b
With her ring she can sing anything
with her range she can sing anything and she always wanted to try different things at that time at work for her
She was singing R&B before this video
she even did duets with Prince
Funny thing this came out in 1991 and ironically Lisa Lisa came out with the song, "Let the Beat Hit 'Em..." the same year and those two hit hard and showed they still had it 100%.
Wow this song just took me back 30 years. Love this song and Sheena has an amazing voice
Sheena and Sheila E....wow, by far the sexiest, hottest woman of the 80's/early 90's!!...getting a sunburn just looking at them!!
great singer Sheena is
I'm so glad I was born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s.
A typical early 90’s
Sheena at her sexiest!!
love this song
Sheena is the Queen 👸🏻.
Her last Billboard Hot 100 Chart that went to # 24 in June of 1991. Her last album "Fabulous" came out in 2001 which has the remake of Thelma Houston's 1977 song "Don't Leave Me This Way". Nothing since then!!
90's Hits
Sheena Easton was a bad woman back in the day!!!
This is a big lie
@@Lasse-wf4dh He's saying 'bad', in slang, meaning she's good looking as a woman can possibly be. Which, I agree, she was (and still is) a fine lookin woman. She had me hooked in '84 with Sugar Walls'. And when 'U Got the Look' came out, I kissed the TV when I saw her. Beautiful & talented....
Sheena really hype up the 90s.Lovely Jam!
Still listening and loving this in 2020 with the awesome old school music power of MTV and New Jack Swing
Oh my god, I totally forgot she sang this!! I love it... Probably another one written by Prince
Otro clásico de 1991,también la tocaban constantemente en la radio,en Radio Éxitos y en la Pantera!!!
🥰😍🥰my crush...love this song!!!
So many great outfits / clothing in this vid !!
You've got to love the first two years of the '90s because the '80s trickled in, which made that period feel good! This song, I believe, was released in 1991.
***** "Christina Applegate, you've gotta put me on! Guess whose piece of the cake is Jake gone?"
*That was just a little something special for you ;-)
agree
+Lover Cover What are some specific things that have changed?
Late Spring 1991. Good times great song.
Sheena has so many great songs! The year I graduated from high school. I love the music of the '90s almost as much as that of the '80s.
What has happened to this kind of music today? They should bring it back in a whole new way.
If it's a whole new way, then it's not the same kind of music.
@Isaiah King It is exactly. It was derivative even before she did it. Yet when the likes of En Vogue (and far worse) tackle it, they get plaudits. Least it sings it perfectly as she ever, which saves it. I think her sellout 1988 album is maybe the fault here, but also the way audiences and so-called tastes changed for the not-so-good 90s. 80s music had long gone, and her much better stuff continued to glow forever in that decade, and great to always revisit as its classic. Nonetheless is likely her best song out of the lot from 1991.
THEY CANT ITS ALL DIFFERENT PEOPLE
It’s funny when people ask that because we have ourselves to blame. New generations of listeners are what drive certain music away. Music like trends start and when they hit huge and everyone jumps in on it they reach the peak and some people grow tired of it while others try new sounds and styles and when that becomes the next best thing, people drop the other or it no longer has the momentum to keep on when newer stuff fades out the former. Therefor it’s us who don’t keep it alive and move onto the next est or new thing. Then after a long time, when we hear that old style, it transports is to a good time and memory and we miss it
New Jack Swing wasn't going to last, sadly. Not the way Hip-Hop did. There are many reasons. You will be able to read about them in a year. Follow me on Twitter @AishaStaggers
Christmas Eve '19 and I've still got the hots for Sheena.
Shwing!
@@Jefff72 :)
Hearing this song makes me feel 18 again. This hit during my 2 months of freedom between high school and the Air Force. Good times!
One of the best imports to be launched in the USA. The Nostalgia. 💙
I remember her going on a TV variety show to promote this song and I somehow have it associated with her last stand.... She really is the sort of chick music I like along with Shannon. Sheila and Tina Marie
Love Sheena in vinyl trenchcoat!
underrated
Great era!!
Man I had a major crush on this woman especially from the my sugar walls and you got that look videos woooooooo
Wow.. that's very 90s my kinda beat🔥🔥❤️❤️👍👍
I wish this was available to download or streaming. This is is an excellent song and should be at least on a Sheena compilation
FYI, for anyone interested, Sheena's What Comes Naturally album was released as a digital album in August 2021. So was her disco covers album, Fabulous. They are both available to buy on iTunes.
Wow I heard this song a million times and didnt know it was my girl Sheena Easton 😍😍😍
I love her when she became popular with "Telefone" but since she was known for her killer abs, she was just incredibly hot after her 80s image. It's like a metamorphosis to a brand new Sheena in the 90s.
I totally agree, that's what I've always said, there are two sheenas, one from the 80s with innocent and "serious" ballads and the one from the 90s with more dance pop
Fun song and video.
A great song.
God Bless Scotland!!
smokin hott sheena what a voice
love this ❤❤❤album plus the remixes to this song are awesome still on my playlist 2024
Underrated song
