Sheena Easton is an amazing singer and actress. She also is a dual citizen of Scotland and the United States, currently residing in Henderson, Nevada, United States.
She lost her Scottish accents.
Nationality is British, not Scottish. It doesn't say Scottish on the passport.
Sheena's a great singer, performer & wonderful person. I saw her live in Vegas!
I recall many of her songs in the 80's as a teen. Cool to see her again.
Johnny Carson absolutely adored her, which was rare for him.
She was a great guest, just adorable.
WOW Her voice still sound's the same. What a Diva forever she will be.
There really should be a biopic about this lady.
Sheena had some good songs
I absolutely love her songs
Who cares what accent she does or doesn't have? She's a FANTASTIC singer, no doubt!!!
I loved her Scottish accent!
😂😂
She's not saying in Scottish accent?
@@user-dt8ys8yk8r Not so much in this interview, but I remember her accent from the past.
@@JustMe-mp8on She speaks like American nowadays. In the 80's she did speak in Scottish accent. You know what there are so many comments about her accent in this video.
Philip Schofield is still honoured by ITV.
Unlike your good self!
Woah!!! she sounds country...WTH!!! She had such a strong Scottish accent back in the day wth 😮🤨☹️
Wasn't she once Scottish? Sure she was on show called 'The Big Time' in England in the late 70's .
/ 80's. What's that false accent about?
Living in America for long time.
Sasha
From Lanarkshire Scotland she has forgotten where she came from, accent gone within 5 months in the US 😂🏴
Everyone loses their original accent when immersed for a long time in a region with different speech patterns. My mother lost her charming Western Pennsylvania accent after decades of living in New York. Losing physical contact with a place and its associated accent does not mean you have forgotten where you came from.
@@johnsegelke4385no they don't. Lol
What a stupid comment. How could you forget where you came from? Really?! I can't understand why people are so judgmental. I think it's amazing that she can learn an American accent in such a short time. I don't see anything wrong with it. What's the difference if she learned to speak with an American accent vs an American citizen learning a Scottish accent or any other for that matter for work? She was a Drama/speech teacher at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scottland. She also acted in the US for which she needed to use an American accent for work. Her accent has NOTHING at all to do with her talent or her as a person. I wish people would stop commenting on the stupid accent already gee wiz!
uuuhhhm 1990 Glasgow Green - I saw her get bottles of p!55 thrown at her when she came on stage and said “It’s great to be back in England” she clearly had amnesia that day!
I remember her accent when she was a new artist. It was def Scottish then. After i heard her recently, i had to come check i wasn't suffering the Mandela effect.
Dullard. Sounds American, too.
I wonder who changed her scottish accent to ......
She did have GREAT song writers... I went to a Celine Dion concert back in the day... and outside of a few songs (mainly the Titanic one) I really didn't care for any of them... a LOT of them I found annoying...
La verdad yo creo que se vería bonita con pelo corto . Ella es bonita pero como se vería así
She lost her accent.
The rhythm of her speech is Scottish, but her pronunciation is mid-southern American.
Thought she was Scottish...
She was...but somehow she's not now
She was told to lose the accent to further her career in my opinion
Of course she will always be a beautiful & extremely talented lady, but her lovely Scottish accent was one of the most endearing things about her…..absolutely loved it!👍
The Lassie has spent too many years in the USA - she has lost much of the Scottish accent from her youth. There's still a bit there, but not like when she first escaped the UK.
I don’t like the American accent and I’m an American. It sounds quite snotty on her tbh
It's totally cultivated, listen to her in 1980 ...no US accent.
She's actually from Scotland originaly
Scrubber fae bellshill
It's so phoney I've been here way longer than her and mines has never changed an ounce.
