Japan has amazinggg knives, so I would buy one here ! It might be a bit before you can make it out to a good store to get one though, so maybe it’s best to bring one. Also they knives here are amazing but expensive 😆

If you’re going to the stand to buy the deer crackers you can say “Shika-senbei hitotsu onegaishimasu” It means “1 pack of deer crackers please“ but they’re so used to tourist there that you can probably just say “ deer crackers please” and they’ll understand. Have fun in Nara!! ^^
