Thank you so much! For taking the time to make these videos🫶 I passed my math GED test yesterday(which was my last one!) I made a 152 after failing the Sunday before with a 140. I feel like my first downfall with the score before was that I didn’t spend enough time or pause the videos and try hard enough. So honestly my fellow students just get engaged in the video! Pause the video answer the questions on your own try to watch at least 1 to 2 videos a day the longer ones and it’ll be worth the time you spend on it! I promise I’ve never felt this great and accomplished! Now it’s time for the new chapter in my life🥰 also for anyone that’s looking to give them self an excuse life is hard and there’s really never an easier time to do it I’m going through a divorce I also have a 18 month son who is autistic and runs around like there ain’t no tomorrow but I let him run around the yard while I brought my books outside and studied if you want it hard enough you’ll go through whatever you have to do to get it! stay strong 💪 and remember your worth it!!!!!

Trying not to I took 3 times failed
I know some states are different and I know some states have different waiting times but I already tested twice on my math and failed and I was told if I fail again then I’m gonna have to wait 60 days to retake it

I would say I over studied. If you have a basic understanding of arithmetics you should be able to pass. Study the formula sheet the most

I've learned more in these first 10 minutes than I had my whole high-school experience. My attention span was horrid in my teenage years and I couldn't focus and not to mention I didn't have very caring teachers to help. Thank you for making this so simple

I scheduled my GED test a week ago and did no studying. I dropped out of high school doin dumb shit I’m 22 now and I thought I would just wing it on these tests. I watched this video 2 hours before driving to the test. This video helped a lot there was just some questions that were bizarre to me and thought I was going to fail but I PASSED! @@krystlemcfadden4766 nooooo ! Sorry, I'm afraid I am not affiliated to the GED test. The closest you will get is the GED ready. If you can, I would purchase that before you take the test. These questions are at the level and of the type you could potentially get. Best of luck.
Despite the couple errors, I truly appreciate you being there to help so many (including myself).
To those with upcoming tests even though it’s timed, take your time! Get the ones right that are easy to you. If a question is difficult and you are unsure still select an answer(even if it ends up being a guess) you still have a 1 in 4 chance of getting it right. But also you can go back and spend more time on it in the review section. So Take note of the ones you aren’t sure of. Good Luck!!

I'm sorry Ana, I missed this message. You've probably done your test but if you haven't 45% is Quantitative reasoning (Basic arithmetic, decimals, fractions, number lines, distance, cost, percentages, geometry), 55% algebraic reasoning.

@@sabilaislam5575 pretty much a variation of what's on these videos. I know its a little different for everyone. I seemed to remember it was less than 50 questions.
I'm taking my first portion of the GED test tomorrow, which is Math! Thank you for this video. Its so much harder to learn this by yourself and online. I cried every day trying to learn this but fear of continuing with shitty jobs pushed me. Don't waste your time like I did for so long.
Check your local workforce center for free programs that offer in person and online virtual classes, they'll pay for your pretest on the GED website AND the actual tests -- the pretest made me feel better, and it gives a little confidence that if you don't pass at least you didn't pay for it LOL.

That's great @Goofy goober ! I agree, do a ton of problems from now to test day so you feel confident and it's a slam dunk. I'd also suggest you play around with the scracthpad/whiteboard and the online calculator so you don't waste time (or get stressed) on test day. Best of luck !

Also make sure you are super comfortable using the scratch pad/whiteboard and calculator online , and that you have gone through the formula sheet and know where everything is as this will save you a lot of time (and stress on the day). I stopped at question 11 to say thank you. I have my test tomorrow in Calgary, Alberta. I am taking the free GED course through Kindred. The classes were free. The book and tutors were free as well. I like your video because you are focusing on everything and that helps. Some videos out here on UA-cam are Algebra heavy which is fine, but I think the GED will go through everything. I'll let you know tomorrow how I do.

Question 2: the correct answer is 63. Thanks @Ritchie YO for finding the error. This is the mistake I made: in the exponent I thought I had written this (-2)^2 = (-2)(-2) = 4 . HOWEVER I wrote this -2^2, so the exponent is equal to -(2)(2)= -4.
The rule is this: If there are parentheses around a negative base then the exponent applies to the entire equation including the negative sign.
If there are NO parentheses the exponent applies to the base only and not the negative sign.
Your equation should be:
6(2) + 10(5) + 5 -2 ^2
12 + 50 + 5 - 4
=63

Hi! Thanks for your videos! I have a question about your example #2. The expression was 6x + 10y + y - x^2. Wouldn't it be (2)^2 = 4 but in this case -4? Because the 2 is being squared, but there was a negative sign already in the expression

Thanks for the video - it was super helpful. However, I believe there is an error in #37. The question says, "1 1/2c of olive oil," but when you show how to solve it, you used 2 1/2. Or did I miss something? Thanks again!

in question 12 you say he flipped 60 times but they only add up to 50?also the odd of tails are always 50% no matter what happened before?
Question 13 she said 3/4 was equal to .58 witch is wrong I believe

A good tip for any repeat math takers if you’re failing by a few points each time learn the Pythagorean theorem for the triangle question. It’s easy to spot and easy to remember. It helped me pass the test finally and scored higher for my collage placement .. do it!!

27 years old. I’m taking my math test Thursday. Ugh I’m nervous and excited to knock this out!
I'm rooting for you ! Make sure if you are doing it online that you spend some time getting familiar with the online calculator and the online whiteboard. People waste a ton of time on that and its stressful. Also make sure you look at the formula sheet so you know where everything is and don't waste time, and do some of the free practice test at GED:com so you are comfortable with the interface of the test.
