Passed everything besides math in 2017 but Due to discouragement and doubt I put off taking the math portion until now 2020. Finally got the guts to go for it so I watched a couple of these videos the night before the test and ended up passing today and Completing my GED. My class graduated in 2013 and I’ve spent these 7 year of my life feeling like a worthless bum just because I didn’t believe I could do this and was worried to fail. Don’t be like me and believe in yourself, you can do this ! We are all Kings and Queens but just don’t realize our own worth . Good Luck 👍

Wow awesome! Happy for you. I didn’t know people were allowed to take the tests that long apart without having to start all over. It makes me feel less pressure. I haven’t taken any yet but I’m starting my studies with math first since this was my hardest subject in school. Were the other subjects easy for you?

Ah slope, my longtime enemy
You really simplify this. I forgot all about it when I did my test recently. I really want to thank you so thx. I'm more of a visual learner & audio learner. I'm not into reading as much. I got the Kaplan test prep 2019. It's good but just isnt for me. I passed the tests I past by finding videos like yours on UA-cam. And I know with your math vids I'll pass on thursday or eventually I will. Thanks man. Things like this, you're doing a good deed, helping people get their GED which changes one community at a time..and that's where true change happens from the inside than out.

@@vl2663 thanks. All I needed was math and got connected to a great teacher and his course and virtual appointments really helped more than anyone as I been at it for last 2-3yrs or so for math. All the other subjects, I passed first try.
My test is in two weeks. I’m hoping I gave myself enough time. Thank you so much for your content!

When you did the plug in trick I need to see you also solve it the way you did the first equation because when I did plus 4 on both sides I got x=9 I know im failing

just a lil question hope its ok to ask. but do you have to round down numbers sometimes? like round down the nearest tenth, for example ... 1,993 to to 1990
Questions are always welcome. And yes, you may have to do this sometimes on your test. It's definitely something you'll want to know how to do.

I don’t really understand the slope problem
On the slope question, I used different coordinates than yours and ended up with (2/5), instead of just 2. Does it matter which points I choose? I don't understand how I got a different answer.
Then I tried a different coordinate and got 6 haha

Had a stoner moment with-
X² - 4x = 5 😂 spaced on the fact that (²) means squared and was just multiplying by 2 haha confused myself for like two minutes... but, figured it out and saw the obvious correct answer.
Algebra can be a pain in certain areas of the math exam!
