That's a really bad habit to get into..to get so used to pushing people away that you don't know how to turn it on when the time comes that you really need to. Your attempt to "play things cool" (out of fear of appearing desparate) really just ends up coming across as entirely uninterested/indifferent. Any crush that potentially wants you too wants to be wanted, or at least needs to "see" you well enough to know whether they want you or not - they can't know that if you stay hidden in your shell.
I just want people to know that love is more complicated than like or dislike, i had a thing with a good friend of mine for a few months, we were "a couple" for two weeks and broke up, we are still very good friends. Be mindful of the fact that it takes time sometimes to understand your own feelings about someone.

So first, for the introvert part, I don't tend to talk much, I'm always on my mind, but I like to listen to others more than talking about what I'm thinking, also I kind of fear small talk because it becomes repetitive and you get out of topics too soon. Then for the shy and insecure part, whenever I try to talk more about myself or things I like, there's a voice that's always saying, "no, they're not into this topic", "sure they're bored listening to me talking about this or that", "this topic is not interesting" "I'm stuttering too much!", "what do I do?" "How do I keep going??", "please, make it stop!" Haha and then I have to find any excuse to get out of that situation. Haha I have serious problems! That's a really bad habit to get into..to get so used to pushing people away that you don't know how to turn it on when the time comes that you really need to. Your attempt to "play things cool" (out of fear of appearing desparate) really just ends up coming across as entirely uninterested/indifferent. Any crush that potentially wants you too wants to be wanted, or at least needs to "see" you well enough to know whether they want you or not - they can't know that if you stay hidden in your shell.
I just want people to know that love is more complicated than like or dislike, i had a thing with a good friend of mine for a few months, we were "a couple" for two weeks and broke up, we are still very good friends. Be mindful of the fact that it takes time sometimes to understand your own feelings about someone.

So first, for the introvert part, I don't tend to talk much, I'm always on my mind, but I like to listen to others more than talking about what I'm thinking, also I kind of fear small talk because it becomes repetitive and you get out of topics too soon. Then for the shy and insecure part, whenever I try to talk more about myself or things I like, there's a voice that's always saying, "no, they're not into this topic", "sure they're bored listening to me talking about this or that", "this topic is not interesting" "I'm stuttering too much!", "what do I do?" "How do I keep going??", "please, make it stop!" Haha and then I have to find any excuse to get out of that situation. Haha I have serious problems! But well, I think it has to do with bad experiences I had, funny not with other people, but with my family.
So everyone has their reasons, I think it's mostly due to personality and experience, but I think we always try to improve just don't know how to :)

I have someone I like and I made the first move, I messaged him on social media and I'll be honest, he didn't seem as interested but im putting myself out there more and trying to get his attention.
